[Q] From V to SP

Is it worth to change my xperia V to xperia sp? SP got more battery juice..and a few feature that i think will be ported(dualshock3)..but it pack with adreno 320 and hgher clocked cpu..but it more bulkier..n heavier..

Yes! I want to change to it. My Xperia V keeps losing its flaps.

i think that too..but worried about its screen and camera, many review say it bad..

For me still V better.. At least water resistance.. and I don't think the GPU for V give you anything problem..

Yup..but there is complain that the flap getting loose..and then wter rsstance bcome a scare..

Well yea but from what I read, the Z doesnt seem to have that problem so i might wait for the ZR

Here's my conclusion. The Xperia V is just a prototype for the Xperia Z. The Xperia Z has better flaps than the Xperia V.

I think i'll take the bite and sell off my V for an SP.
Really like my V, but upgrading it for $33 feels like a no brainer

been playing with SP at shop earlier..what can i say is, the screen in V is more good than SP..and the camera in SP is not good as when i take close up picture, autofocus lost..well, guess im stick with V then..

If anything, I'd wait for the ZR. If it is what the rumors say, i.e. essentially a Z with 4.3" screen, then it could be a real killer device.

Sony phone releases

Just wondered if anyone knew what the new sony phone was being release that sported a smaller full hd screen than the z? I'm sure i have read it on here somewhere and would appreciate if someone could please tell me what it is.

I would like to tell you that no sony phone other than Xperia Z and ZL with a smaller screen sports a full hd screen. However there are several devices having a resolution with 720x1280.

There are rumours of one. Should be a 4.6" with full HD. But it's a rumor at best.

I think you are talking about xperia sp but that device is not full hd

Nope. Not the SP. This one was supposed to be part of the Z series. There's already a rumor about an Xperia ZR.. But that's 720p.

i worked with S4 and read lots of review and ...
and i have xz (cause i bought it before S4)
of course S4 is so fast but lots of people report lags as always in samsung smartphones but in launcher level u can use another launcher so it s not matter
S4 has so good camera quality (better optimization than x Z so far)
u can watch youtube about drop tests > S4 will break easily ! But X Z has more durability and of course IP57
but about screen quality
X Z has very good quality (at least in my experience since first firmware till now) and i compared it with noteII, S3 and S4 > X Z has brighter screen
performance of X Z is awesome and i don't see any delay to load home screen after playing FHD 3D games but samsung has lag even on Octa-cores (i don't understand WHY !?)
about design;
X Z has its special design called omni-balance as u know and another special thing for durability
S4 is lite and with 5" it s really comfortable (maybe this design caused to break and crack easily!)
that was my experiences about both device (however u know S4 part )

I'm happy that I got the Z and I came from S4. Only 2nd day though. The camera lag on the S4 annoyed me. Pictures with the Z snap instantly. Will say more in a few days.

I read it a few times and nope. The Sony Z might have lags elsewhere but the camera has no lag the S4 does.

The only time the camera lags is in the first time u lunch it afterwards it has no lag. Xperia Z.

The s4 is easier to hold in one hand and also for one hand operations as u may know..whereas the xz has an amazing design and feel..the recent 4.2.2 update improved many things but some minor lags are present in the ui,which we all know will be fixed soon....I would choose the xz forever..

Really depends on what you want your phone for.
If you are a gamer, choose the SP as it has the Adreno 320 which is MILES ahead of the Adreno 225.
If you are a pure photographer, then choose the T, because it has a 13 MP camera while the SP has 8MP
If you are an average person that does some of all of the above, then I'd say the SP is better, because of its wonderful specs and decent camera. No lag at all for me on the SP.

I would choose the SP any day. Not a big fan of arched backs.

SP. Go for SP bro. I am an old user of T. SP is Better tha T.
Only Three things is Better in T.
1) RAM management. Awsom in T.
2) Camera
3) Display. 100 % Better than SP
Other wise SP is the winner..

Better go for SGS III or Nexus 4 or get more money and buy XZ. In Poland different between SP and Z is about $75 - $100 (New SP <-> almost new Z).
I would go for Nexus 4 if I need to choose again (and have not enough money for Z). Always updated custom roms.
I don't regret buying SP but annoying is no CM for C530x yet.

I also tought about buying Xperia T but 2 things made me choose for SP:
- better battery and stamina mode
- more recent so longer updates ( I guess )

1. Is camera good in SP? and does front camera do nice photos?

Its VGA, so don't expect any good HD pictures.
But it will do the job if you are using Face a Unlock or Skype-ing. Its not excellent though....

Then you should choose the nexus 4.
Same GPU but a Quad-Core CPU, + tons of custom ROMs and the latest android available -- just awesome
I wish I could have a nexus 4 but it is not available in my country

Camera in SP is actually better than Z or T. 2 of my friends have a T and a Z. we did a camera comparison test. and guess what, SP was the winner, in low light and outdoor. might have less MP's than the others but the quality is awesome.

Performance wise the SP is close to the N4. Our processor has a high clock speed, we have a better battery and expandable storage. For the price it's a very good 4g phone.
I could have got a better phone but I don't need flagship performance. It's a bit snobby to say this, but I have to raise my eyebrows when people get the most expensive phones and only really use them to make calls, send texts and take basic photos.

Thinking about ordering it next week..

If you like to flashing, buy the flagship one, like xperia Z, there are many developer on that forum...

I already have the Xperia Z1 C6903 + Tablet Z Wifi Only (Pollux_Windy device) in my collection. Did own the first Z a couple of months ago, but sold it, and got a special retail deal on the Z1 instead. Will get the Z2 once I am visiting Turkey in the end of May..
