Have you tried to run the installer again? Hickups like this can happen.

Hold it under a lamp and repeat your hard-reset method or plug it into your PC and type
Code:
adb reboot recovery
and then re-attempt the flash

Everything is ok. Thanks! But what's with the lamp?
Think it needs proximity sensors triggered as well.. that's why.

Hello,
Here is my problem, wanting to flash a theme on my Xperia Z, I had to perform a cache cleaning, this one was unusually long (~5minutes), so I brutally shut down the phone via power + volume up.
I wasn't aware of:
Phone hangs when cleaning cache?
Just leave it for a few minutes, it's needs some time to clean cache

Unfortunately it is now impossible for me to get back to the recovery (LED turns green but does not change to purple while holding volume up).
I already tried:
- Reinstall CWM recovery
- Install TWRP recovery hoping "overwrite" CWM (does not work either)
- Uninstall TWRP recovery
- Use the "reboot in recovery" option via clockworkmod and application TWRP (just reboot the phone normally)
edit:
- I now tried to do a factory reset but it's not working, nothing happen when I click "erase all data", can't tell if it's related though...
Having no other ideas I think it would be best to totally remove CWM recovery (via adb ?) and then reinstall it "properly"
Thanks
Update: Just tried to do a factory reset via settings but I doesn't work, nothing happen when I click "erase all data", can't tell if it's related though. Is there any other way to do a factory reset so I can go back to normal ?
Thanks
Sometimes Power button only functions for screen off.
Holding the power button doesn't show any menu and i cannot take screenshots when this happens..
I restart the phone from the back hole... but then again after about 2 days power button stops working
Phone Status:
Bootloader Locked..
Rooted... but this problem occurred even when the phone wasn't rooted
Any solution ??//

Read guides more carefully. You wipe everything before installing a new ROM. Wipe, reinstall.

Flash any Kernel based on CM11 using flashtool.( you can get flashtool by their main site).
Boot to CWM recovery.
wipe data/factory settings.
wipe cache.
advance> wipe dalvik cache.
Then install your ROM zip.
If this doesnt help, download the original firmware and using flashmode in flashtool, flash that you will get your original rom back but you will lose Root.
My daughters Motorola X 2nd Gen (XT1095) seems to be locked. When you touch the screen all that shows is the time and a padlock. If you try and slide the padlock up, down or to the left or right the date shows at the top and the battery shows but it will not proceed.
Can anyone tell me what may be happening and how to fix it?
Thanks
I would first hold down the power until it turns off. It sounds like a restart is in order

Restarted it several times, results are the same, still locked.
Sorry to hear that. I didn't see it in your post so I started with square one troubleshooting.
How about rebooting to recovery and trying to wipe the cache?

1. Power off the phone
2. Hold volume down and press the power button
3. Press volume down until you get to the word recovery then press volume up
4. When the little android is laying down, press the power button and tap volume up.
5. Use volume down to get to wipe cache partition and press power

That just means the bootloader is locked. It has nothing to do with the problem you're having. Try a factory reset if wiping caches didn't work.

Get the phone to the bootloader. Open a cmd on your computer and type MFASTBOOT ERASE USERDATA. that'll factory reset it for you.

Try to boot into recovery (turn off your phone, and then press the power button + volume down for like 3 seconds), then wipe cache and dalvik cache.
