[Q] Rooted Motorola XT890, Moving Apps to SD? - RAZR i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Earlier i was able to root my Motorola Razr I successfully but I then learnt that you cant move apps to sd as simply as before. I have scoured the Internet looking for ways but to no avail. Does anyone on here have ideas as to how this could be made possible. I have tried many app to sd apps but every single time without fail i get an error message saying something along the lines of 'your device is incompatible'.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

FolderMount from google playstore

Any ideas on any custom ROMs that have this built in?
Have been looking and continue to look in the forums but to no avail as of yet.
Was also wondering how the folder mount app works. Can it be described at all to me?
Any help is much appreciated

Only Arman68's AIObootmod has built in this feature (swap SD).

Temp Un-Root?

Hey guys
Is there a temp unroot for the HTC one available?
Sky go doesn't let me use it on a rooted device. No idea why they are so picky about jailbroken or rooted devices, bit daft imo
Anyway yeah, any help would be great
Thanks

This appears to be a conundrum which many have tried to solve on supported (and un-supported) devices. I have searched high and low and have yet to find anybody with a working solution.

Yeah it's frustrating isn't it because it's so stupid that it won't allow it. Lets hope the geniuses on here work out a way to rectify it

I used OTA Rootkeeper on my Nexus 7 with Sky Go and it worked fine, esentially temp unroot, and then use 'Root Checker' to see if your phone is actually unrooted. Make sure you fully close the Sky Go app and then try, it works for me. I'll test on my One and post the results in a bit
Edit: Just tried it, didn't work I'm afraid, hopefully another solution will appear soon!
Try this, it's what I have to do to get time warner live tv to work.
Go into system/app and rename superuser to SuperSU.
Next, go into the build.prop and there should be something that says build tags. It should say under that, "release-keys". Delete the words release-keys, leaving that part blank. Reboot. Should work if it's the same root checks as time warner.

Does this remove the root at all or will it still function the same and just pass the check?
Should just pass the root check. Root still remains.

You're also going to have to make sure you have a system write capable kernel.

Galaxy s5 app2sd without rooting! yay!

I searched this forum and did not find so here goes. Quite by accident I found on the app All-in-One-Toolbox from the app store, that there was an app2 SD button and not being able to help myself I went down the list and chose a few that didn't matter. Pressed the button and by God it worked! So I did more, and they worked! I haven't rooted yet and if this is old news I apologize, but I sure couldn't find it anywhere. Hope this helps someone

**EDIT Should be All-In-One-Toolbox application
I just get that apps2sd is not available...

Hi, maybe it's model specific? I'm SM-G900A. You did see edit? and use correct app->> All-in-One-Toolbox? Like I said, I didn't realize this option was on . I was replacing my clean master app that was driving me nuts after upgrading to this phone. So I was setting this up, running thru basics, clear cache, etc., and I found it. Let me know if you have any luck.

Samsung Exhibit T599n Overclocking

How do I overclock my Samsung Exhibit. T599n? I purchased it at MetroPCS 2 days ago and rooted using Cydia Impactor. I do not know much of anything about this device. So first I need to find out if it is possible to overclock.
I appreciate any input.
Since this forum is for the T679, you won't find much help here. As far as I know they don't have a dedicated forum on XDA for your phone. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Ok. It's there... General disussion of the T599n. Now I have some info! And some reading to do.
Today I reformatted my 32GB sd card on my computer. Then I was able to use it again. Then I reinstalled Busybox, then opened the AParted app. Made 2 partitions and rebooted. Then I opened Link2sd, set primary partition as EXT4. Rebooted. Opened LINK2SD again and linked all non-system files. Haven't tested it yet. Will get back with how it's working.

Yes. Why are you using safestrap when that is a discontinued method and has been for quite some time with all threads pointing to mythools on the current way to do things?

That tells us nothing. 'A lot of errors' is not a problem that i or anyone else can fix. We need details, error codes/msgs, what the device does, etc.
Lets start there and we'll see what we can do to get you up and running.

Also is there anyway my bootstrap backup can even be recovered at this point it is still on my PC but not compatible with my current custom recovery. It has all of my contacts which I lost during flashing. If its not possible the stock is fine. Thanks for helping me it means a lot.

Custom recoveries can be used to backup/restore stock roms. However, bootstrap/safestrap was discontinued in apr-may 2013 when our bootloader became unlockable. No clue of any safestrap compatibilities. What does mythtools say when you run through the bootloader unlock script?
