Is it possible to disable or close Samsung SD card popup after every boot on S7/Edge?. I f it is how do I get started? You may ask why not modifying as done on custom ROMS? Well not as yet rooted so any help will be appreciated.

Earlier i was able to root my Motorola Razr I successfully but I then learnt that you cant move apps to sd as simply as before. I have scoured the Internet looking for ways but to no avail. Does anyone on here have ideas as to how this could be made possible. I have tried many app to sd apps but every single time without fail i get an error message saying something along the lines of 'your device is incompatible'.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Only Arman68's AIObootmod has built in this feature (swap SD).

"Titanium Backup". You have a lot of reading to do in the general threads. Depending on your firmware version will determine your available root methods. There's Kingo Root,Evilpotatoman's method etc.Read through the threads and then read again to make sure you grasp the methods.

The most effective way to remove bloat would be to root it, install titanium backup, and either uninstall or freeze applications.

I know lots of readings are necessary.

I don't have it any more. Not sure what removed it, but if i had to guess it was installing xposed, then going to Security Hacks and changing checking the Fake System Status box.
Grab Wanam off the playstore with Xposed installed. It'll do that for you.
This method works.

I used Triangle Away this worked for me.
I'm in a different boat where I like to see the custom lock at startup lol. I see it time to time but doesn't do it that often. Not asking for help because who really gives a crap anyways.
Also confirm that using Triangle Away works for me.

T-Mobile doesn't lock their bootloader. Is there some reason to believe that will change with Android 5.0? It certainly will undo root.

Ive been a HTC guy. new to Samsung and I have the at&t version, I want to return it and get T mobile again. I just wanted to know if this was going to be for nothing, after the lollipop update.
It's been so mush fun hex editing, s-off and all that stuff. and if it will continue after the update. from what I've read they are changing the way the kernel boots up.
thanks for the help.
again I am just a 55 year old fart who wants to customize my $700.00 phone the way I want not at&t's way.

there might not be any other way; after all, 5.0 encrypts your entire phone, so one could assume the bootloader has to be locked for that to happen..
we'll see in a few weeks, most likely

if I am not mistaken if we are rooted we can block the OTA updates. is this correct?
locked down Samsung Galaxy Note 4 using XDA PREMIUM [HD]
well, no one HAS to take an OTA update, and, if you are rooted, make sure you do NOT take the update..
If you are rooted and on a custom rom, the odds are you wont even get a notification that there is an update..

I don't see any setting to not check for updates like there used to be going back to froyo. How do you prevent an update being downloaded if you're not rooted?

Wrap it in aluminum foil. J/k...just be extra careful not to have quick fingers when and if you do receive an Ota.

In past TMO Samsung phones, custom recovery changed the Current Binary setting from Samsung Official to Custom. That alone disabled OTA updates. I suspect it's the same on the N4.Perhaps someone who rooted prior to the NJ7 update can confirm.

I am on the NJ7 and can confirm any update check comes back with the "custom software, no updates for you" message.
Well I returned the AT&T version and brought home a t mobile note 4.
What are your thoughts about taking the t mobile update. Can we still root and unlock the bootloader if we take the update
Sent from my SM-N910T using XDA Premium HD app
t mobile bootloader is already unlocked
and yes ,you can still root after you take the update; all the new roms are based on the updated firmware anyways..

Just be sure to read the posts about s-health and private mode. If you can, don't use s-health until after you root and if you plan on using it, disable secure storage in wanam. Otherwise you're going to get some annoying lag.
Also if you're going to flash a custom ROM and want to use the fingerprint scanner, make sure you use the scanner on the stock ROM first. Folks are having issues on custom ROMs if they've never used the scanner beforehand.

I don't think so because i can access the settings and notification menu . The UI is just completely blacked out with the status bar on top . And when i get a message i can access it . And reply to it too same for phone calls. There is just no button to disable Ultra Power Saving because of the lack of UI.
I Disabled touch wiz and emegency , And im running launcher 8 , Thats most likely the reason of it not working
That is exactly the reason why, theres a thread in the general section for this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785363 and it says reflash, so thats what youre going to have to do, try and be more responsible with what you mess with next time.
