Lately I've been having a recurring nightmare that I'm part of the last surviving group of humans defending against wave after wave of attacking zombies, and we're staying in a dangerously unfortified structure. There are variations: one time, one of the members went for a vacation in the Bahamas (seriously!), leaving behind a bunch of cool military gear. Later we discovered a group of African-Americans running a down-and-dirty jazz/blues club some distance away from our compound, and while we originally perceived them as a threat, they later became important allies. It usualy ends with weaknesses in the social fabric allowing one last wave of zombies to get everybody.
Too much "Walking Dead", you think?

I have a recurring nightmare, happens a few times a year, where I'm in a vehicle that is moving down the road, and I'm laying down in the front seat, and I can't get up. I could see out the windows that we are moving. I'm just laying there, waiting to crash! then I wake up.

I am not afraid of dark spirits. I just can never get into the stage yet I have done it once in my life by mistake and it was very intriguing!

I've had a few lucid dreams in my life that I can remember. On tapatalk their is a website forum for astral projection and lucid dreaming if ur interested. Just type "astral" in the tapatalk search and ull find it. I am a member.

I've become lucid in dreams many times, but I always screw it up. I get carried away and start flying and I just wake up with my heart pumping like mad, as if I'd just been flying. I need to learn to chill when I realise. It's not easy.

That is the hard part. The trick is to achieve balance...and it really is like balancing on a tightrope...between being lucid enough to have control in the dream world, but not becoming so entralled that you wake yourself up. Eventually, with enough practice, you can use the awareness as a tool to recognize exactly how aware you are, and moderate it to stay in the dream world.

Yeah, I know that's a problem and it's my biggest one. I did once get about 5 seconds in bed with a couple of supermodels, but either flying or web swinging are my usual things. I guess it's just adrenaline at the excitement of knowing I can do whatever I want that wakes me up. I'm always totally wide awake when I come round as well.
I did read once that you should try and spin on the spot for a minute or so when you realise. Apparently it's something that keeps you a bit more balanced and less excited. After that you're good to go.

Idk if this is the right place to go, but I'm at a pretty bad place. My gf of 2.5 years just broke up with me about a week and a half ago. She keeps telling me to move on and stuff, but we had a history of coming back to each other. This time she says its real. Now, I tried took her advice and tried moving on. I went to this small party last night and her one, pretty babish friend was there. We talked a lot and later told me that she wouldn't hurt my ex like that but told me I'm a pretty good guy. I think I like the new one, but I'm worried that what if my ex comes back? I don't want to hurt this chick cause I kinda care about her. My friends who are pretty close to her told me I should wait a month then go after her. I just need some help, you guys seem pretty smart.

18. I'm a senior in high school. Y a I know its hs BS to most. But they said to take like a month off then try with the new girl. And to not talk to my ex or hangout with her unlees she texts me first. My ex is 18 too and is off at college 5 hours away.

Your ex sounds pretty determined that it's off for good. You shouldn't put your life on hold hoping she might change her mind but you shouldn't rush headlong into something else either. The new babe has potential? Tell her you like her and that you hope that something happens in future, but that you don't want to make a rebound mistake.
Go out with some friends and keep yourself busy with stuff you enjoy. Try to put your ex out of your mind and take advantage of the free time you have now. Don't be tempted to make a fool of yourself with your ex when you're feeling low. Months from now when you're looking back on this time, you will want to be able to hold your head up and say that you kept your dignity through the hard times.
If its meant to be, you'll get back together sometime. The question is when. When I was in high school I dated someone for a year. I broke up with her and some how 3 years later we found each other. That was 2001. We are now married and have 3 kids.
But to be honest, since you said she's in college 5 hours away, it sounds as if she found someone else or doesn't want to be that committed to any guy. Between the college atmosphere and 100' s of new people and new friends, they are more, I've seen so many relationships end when one of them goes onto college or both go to different colleges. You want someone who is there everyday.
Either way I would pursue the new girl. You don't need to sit around and continue to be sad.

Thank you. That's what I was thinking about doing. What worries me though is what happens if we reconnect over her Xmas break? I don't want to ruin this new girl, she had guy problems in the past. Also I have the problem of these two girls being friends. Good idea or bad idea? My friends said wait and then see. I have to prove it to the new girl that I'm worth it and that she isn't just some rebound, which she isn't.

If the new girl isn't worried about what it could do to her relationship with your ex, why should you. You need to do what will make you happy. If your ex wants to get back with you later in, but you have found someone that makes you happier, that is her loss. She made the decision to leave you. If you're waiting to see if its meant to be, you could be waiting years, months, or even a lifetime. Move on and let life take its course. The lowest points in your life will only make you.stronger.

Living up to the standards of sleeping with as many people as you can is actually kinda gross to me personally. Just do what you want, not what you feel as if everyone else will approve of.

I got my first gun while eating cereal. 5th bday, 4 10 shotgun. Single shot break over. Killed my first that day too. 18 turtles. Went to my uncle's and cleaned his stock ponds.
I'm older than 30 and younger than 40, and I have never shot a gun in my life. If you knew me, you'd probably be surprised. I'd love to try. On a few people.

A guy I know nearly killed his ex wife with his 92 at a firing range in Israel.
I've only ever been to military ranges (you have to be well spaced from the guy shooting to your left if there is no barrier) and always presumed most civilian ranges would be like you see in the movies (ie booths) but their range just had a long table.
She was shooting a little revolver to is right when an empty case ejected from his gun and went down the back of her neck. As she jumped from the burning metal she squeezed her trigger and sent a bullet skimming across her hair line!
The police did investigate to see if it was some elaborate plan to get rid of her - how much of a genius would you have to be to pull that one off?

Crazy thing is when I turned 9 my step dad tried teaching me gun safety with a pellet rifle. I remember thinking not to tell him and let him be the dad he wants to be. I'd gone deer hunting and shot lots of animals before that. Squirrel, raccoon, fox, you know all the varmit animals and deer. He tried showing me how powerful the air pellet gun was by shooting a news paper. I'd shot countless animals before at point blank to put em down fully. I KNEW what real guns did. But he had a fun time that day being a dad and I'm glad for it.

The MOST important thing when starting out is figuring out what type of character you want to play as.

What kind of character do you want to play? Do you want to be a fighter, a mage, a battle-mage, a thief, an assassin, a brawler, etc... Figure that out and the rest will be easier.
Hmm, I don't like standing and fighting, so that rules out types which favor extreme attack and/or extreme defense...
Speed would be good priority, maybe with an above average/usual attack & defense...
I don't know about the magic part, so lost about that...
Weapons are preferably long range (like a bow, or fast reloading crossbow) or extreme short range (like a stabbing spear or claws)...
These were kinda my preference when I played avatar, and I hope to able to carry these on with skyrim...

Do not waste your perks you can't select everything so don't try.
If you are in a city don't kill anybody. DO NOT KILL CHICKENS. AGAIN DO NOT KILL CHICKENS!
Don't sell soul gems or weapons/armor with special skills( glows) even if they suck.
Do quests but don't rush them wander and find places it'll be an advantage in the long run.
When you are less than level 15 don't finish the DISCERING THE TRANSMUNDANE quest and have 5250$ buy a house and do the ogmha infinitum glitch if you want. Just YouTube it. A

I picked up a bow with it somewhere, just need to get lucky. It's only a certain chance to work though, so not ridiculously useful imo.

Its night time...all houses look alike, how do I figure out where the guards are?
I ran to another city (the 2nd one you encounter), and the guard there is all shielded and weaponed up much more than me...I try but he still manages to kill me...

One advice, DONT KILL THE CHICKENS!
Im a huge paranormal stuff fan, and I love to watch movies like Paranormal activity1, The haunting in Connecticut and The Fourth Kind.
I love them because they are scary as hell and sometimes don't let you sleep XD
As for paranormal experiences, I remember back in 2009 in my Grandma's house, I'd hear footsteps down the stairs and knocks on doors even when no one was there. Also, doors would open randomly and there was no sign of anyone or anything.

Meh I'm not a fan of scary movies. Mostly because none of them are actually scary.
Now there is an abandoned warehouse near my ex-girflriends house that is haunted by something seriously evil. Everyone I know says that every time they pass it they get a really bad chill down their spine and feel like something is watching them. There is a sidewalk on either side of the street but no one who lives in the area walks on the one that is on the same side as the warehouse, well unless it is some kid getting dared to do it.

Nope not hype. I would always take the next street over to get to her house because I didn't like going past that place. Something about that building just feels wrong.
It also probably doesn't help that a few people died in it back in the 50's because of an electrical fire.

I was in a dark period in my life many years ago, 25, stupid, wasting my life in many ways. I was pretty enamored of the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice, some of the most well-written books out there, to the point where I wanted to have one of the vampires take me away, claim me, and take me to the Dark Side. Literally.
And one of them showed up. This is not a joke and is absolutely true so please read on.
I was laying in my bed, very late one night. I had a habit of keeping the room totally dark, all doors and windows closed, in a position much like a coffin with the covers tucked in tightly around me. A couple of nights previously, I had managed to somehow leave my body behind while I floated up through the ceiling, through the roof, above the house, looking around and very much enjoying the experience, and then I realized exactly what I was doing and SNAPPED back to my body, waking almost in a panic. I was frigidly cold for about an hour, but I was very excited that I had managed to do it and wanted to do it again.
Well, that eventful night, I was in my normal position, when I suddenly snapped awake and I KNEW that Something was in the room with me. I looked into the deep darkness across my small bedroom, and there was Something darker still staring back at me. It was big and dark and terrible and powerful, and I knew that it had come for me after I had gotten his attention a couple of nights before. I stared back for what seemed to be hours, but I knew it was merely fractions of a second. I then understood that it was now my time to choose. I could go with him, and see and do things I could scarcely imagine.
At that instant, I backed my body up to the wall behind the bed and yelled, "Jesus, protect me". I was terrified. Suddenly a bright glowing shield appeared in front of me and moved toward the Darkness. No sooner did that happen then it flew out the door. I felt the door open and close so fast I could not see it, but I felt the wind. I got up and ran out of the room, and I could still feel the air movement from the front door as well.
So I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that there really are terrible and monstrous things out there. This was the Real Deal. It literally scared me straight and showed me in no uncertain terms that I was making the wrong choices in my life.

Thanks friend. I will never forget a single detail from that night. It has been over 20 years now, and I still remember it like yesterday.
I do like to write, but I have to be in that groove. I am sure you know the feeling. I did 90%+ of my New User Guide in two one hour spans with 5 hours of not-really-sleep in the middle since my wife made me come to bed , then very minor tweaking.

I've experienced it twice in my life both times were during the same night. The first time it happened I woke up and could move my eyes but nothing else. At first it didn't bother me but then I looked up and the ceiling above me started bubbling and turning a dark red. The next thing I knew it started dripping, then pouring, what looked like blood onto me. I kept trying to scream for help but every time I did it only came out a small whisper. The blood started pooling up around me until it it reached my mouth and nose. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't move at all and I started choking on the blood.
Right after that I sprung up coughing and everything was back to normal. I just chalked it up to being a bad dream, that for some reason I could remember all of, so I went back to sleep. About thirty minutes to an hour later I woke up again, once again unable to move. Fortunately this time I didn't have any weird hallucinations but I still couldn't move. It was not fun at all no matter how hard I tried to scream trying to get someone to help me it only came out a faint whisper.
Needless to say once I was fully awake I gave up on trying to sleep.
This one time I saw a ghost. I said hi and he said hi. It was a pretty awkward conversation. He had a Jamaican accent though. I think it was Bob Marley but I couldn't tell. He offered me some weed but it was ghost weed so I couldn't smoke it.

Sleep paralysis sucks bad, once I had SP and I was stuck in front a room full of demons and their shadows were in front of me.
Usually, the easiest way out of SP is to move your hand REAL fast, as that gradually reconnects your brain to your body.

Haven't smoked a cigarette since Tuesday and here is how.
My wife and I both started vaping.
We have a local store here.

Very pleasant taste and smell, no tobacco unless you choose a tobacco line.
Can choose many flavors and nicotine levels all the way to no nicotine.
Already starting to breath better and smell and taste more.
Can even mix flavors to suit your taste.
I am vaping chocolate and coffee right now.
Thought I would share in case anyone else is trying to quit.
Working well for us.

It is not meant as an advertisement.
It is meant to help smokers stop smoking.
It is not a competitor or anything like that.
I for one know how hard it is to stop smoking so I posted this to give hope to others facing the same issues.
If the administration feels it is a violation to post this they can let me know.
I am not affiliated with this company in anyway.
It is just a local company I found here and so far it works for me.

Indeed I am just trying share my experience to help others get on the way to a better, quality life.
This stuff really works.
I am happy and so are my kids.
No smelly clothes, no danger of catching anything on fire.
My kids are happy to know we will live longer with out cigarettes.

You didn't stop smoking. You just changed the way you supply your body with nicotine. Please come back when you find a way to quit smoking overnight.
The best method for quiting is to just quit. I smoked for 20yrs and nothing ekse worked. Cold turket. Their is no other substitute.

I've done that. Told my self I'm not smoking anymore. 1 week later I start smoking again.
We are not using tobacco at all.
The nicotine levels in our setups is bare minimum at 9.
In a couple weeks we will drop all nicotine and try just vaping for a few.
So we are inhaling mostly vapor and no second hand smoke.
No smoke at all for that matter.

By that statement someone chewing nicorette gum or using a patch would still be a smoker.
Understand your statement but it isn't accurate.
If you have never tried vaping, it may work for you.
Started smoking after my first marriage went down the drain.
Been smoking ever since and this seems to be working.
So far I have not even craved a regular cigarette after that first day.
Vaping helps drop nicotine dependence by letting you lower the amount slowly down to 0.
It also helps because if you need the hand movement like many smokers do, this allows that while removing all the harmful tar and other things from your daily life.

I worded that wrong. I meant you are still a nicotine addict. Nicorette and patches don't help as much because they still provide your body with the cancer causing chemicals, which is what the body craves. So do eCigs.
This thread was meant to be helpful and inspirational.
Everyone coming in here to flame or troll can leave.
If you can't post anything besides negative statements then why post here at all?
