I have this HTC One that was connected to Sasktel but I had a problem occur with the phone and I had to get it completely reprogrammed. After I received my phone back, it isn't connected to Sasktel anymore and they have no idea what carrier the phone is now connected to. (The new programmed phone now has a new IMEI Number) All I need to do is get the 8 digit number to unlock my phone so i can re hook it back up to Sasktel. Is there anyway I can do a carrier check or to get an unlock code?
Thanks

Hi guy,
I recently reported my phone lost, got it blacklisted by tmobile. I since then found it and then called up to have it unblacklisted again.
However, it seems to work on the tmobile network fine. However, when i put in another sim card in the phone (the phone is unlocked) i get the error msg hone not allowed MM #6.
My assumption/hope is that the databases for the network providers need updating.
Can someone confirm is a phone which has been reported lost(blacklisted) and then found(unblacklisted) will work on all networks?
It's more likely that your phone isn't SIM unlocked so it sees the new SIM and then tells you "T-Mobile is the only SIM I'll accept."
I'm in Bolivia. I have a samsung galaxy s, I unlocked with SUperOneClick (for rooting) and sgs tool to unlock it. Then after using a local carrier for about two weeks my phone got the mm#6 error. I was looking for solutions, and then my brother realized that I have to register the phone with the line (IMEI with line). Here in Bolivia exists a law that block phones if they are not registered at someones name and Id. So with nothing to lose, I called assitance of the carrier and register the IMEI I found in the Android menu (About phone>status>IMEI) with the GSM chip/line I have. Wait for 20 minutes and voilá! phone got signal and it's working now. I hope still working from now and on. SO IF YOU HAVE THIS TROUBLE CALL YOUR CARRIER AND REGISTER YOUR PHONE'S IMEI WITH THE LINE YOU ARE USING, IT'S SIMPLE. YOU CAN TRY THAT BEFORE GETTING INTO SOFTWARE STUFF.
HOPE THIS HELP SOMEBODY.
GOOD LUCK!
I like to share my experience, in June 22nd this year i purchased unlock code from an online company Cellunlock.net that have stores on Quebec and Montreal and Laval Canada and Hallandale Florida to unlock my
T-Mobile Vibrant SGH-T959
firmware 2.2
Baseband: T959UVKB5
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9
Build Number: FROYO.UVKB5.
The unlocked code i was given never trigger the phone to unlock it successfully i try:
1: Power on without sim, type in #0111*unlocked code# then i hit dial and o get message "Not registered to network"
2: Power on without sim, type in #7465625*638*unlock code# then i hit dial and o get message "Not registered to network"
3: power on with At&t sim card and i get prompt to enter the network code and message: unlocked unsuccessful
I even made a video and sent it to them upon their request so they can see that i was doing the steps to unlock the phone correctly.
So since i live in fort Lauderdale and they have an office 20 minutes from where i live they suggested to go there so their technician can unlock it by hooking it up to a machine which it turn out to be Z3x Box (i look it up), first attempt it looks like it unlocked it but went i got home and turn the phone back on wiht my ATT card and the phone did not recognized any network, even went i try to use itwiht th original T-mobile card, so after few E-mail i went back to their office and i spend about 2 1/2hr with the technician wich he proceed to flash the phone several times due the phone after it supposed to be flash successfully with the Z3x box either the phone work with ATT but not wiht Tmobile, or the phone kept rebooting itself, after it will says 1 time flashing the phone the phone never turn back ON again, so the technician suggested to leave the phone with them so ty can try to fix it with another technician of may be the battery was dead, so i left my phone with the charger this was o July 7th, since this date they told me they had sent the phone to Samsung and they were waiting for them to returned it.......up to today i still have no phone and i have to E-mail them for status and every time they say the same thing.....what you guys thing i should do next or do i have any chance to get my phone back?
Maybe they think your Vibrant is the Canadian version of vibrant? The bell vibrant or something?
IDK how it can be just YOUR phone thats doing that though, i'd assume the unlock code is the problem? but then again they did try that z3x box too...
Did they give you more than one unlock code to try out?
The vibrant has T-mobile on top, they never give me another unlocked code they mention that maybe the IMEI number was incorrect on the phone from Samsung it slef because we verify the IMEI number when they had my phone, As i mention the technician work on the phone for 2 1/2 hrs. untill it died.
Why didn't you just call your carrier to unlock it?
Because i had another phone wich i call them to unlocked and they said i had to wait another 90 days to unlock another one, i needed the phone unlock to use went i travel to south america and i could not wait. at the time.
Can't you odin to factory 2.1 and get a app in market that will give you the unlock code for free? There was a program on here when the vibrant first came out that when you hooked it to you pc it would find your unlock code then you just put in a different carrier sim enter the unlock code, well that's what I did.
EDIT HERE this might help if you want to do it yourself don't know if it still works, but I know that the whole was in 2.1 eclair that we could get the unlock code thank button is here>>>>>>>>>>>>>VVV
They have the phone for more than 2 months and still waiting for them to sent it back to me.

Blacklisted IMEI/MEID (bad esn) phones can not be repaired by the user. The imei blacklist is an international list which all gsm carriers have access to. Once the IMEI number of a phone is blacklisted, no gsm carriers will activate the phone on their network. Changing the IMEI number is the only solution but its illegal in some countries (check your local regulations). Even if its legal in your country, you can't (afaik) change the IMEI/MEID of the M7 because there is and encrypted key stored on the phone memory to check the authenticity of the IMEI number. If the key doesn't match then the radio will not turn on.
Best you can do imo, is to sell it as is (bad esn)

Hey guys!
I have the one M8 Sprint H/K edition with S-OFF which seems to be unlocked by now (I tried unlocking methods found here) because it accepts other carriers SIM (international) cards and shows up Sim menu, but I can't get it switch to WCDMA mode and it says "Radio Off". But that's one thing. The other weird thing is that when I recieved the phone (bought on eBay) in "about the phone" -> "account" it had the following info: [email protected] which belongs to Verizon instead of Sprint! I thought it is unlocked and contacted Sprint International, they checked IMEI and serial number and said it's not blacklisted but not unlocked!
So then I reset account settings (in "activate this phone" menu) and now it shows "imei number@hcm.sprintpcs.com".
But I also had the other problem even before the reset. In "about the phone" I could see IMEI # but MEID had and still has 00000000 (eight zeroes), even though fastboot getvar all command shows the correct MEID!
In *#*#4636#*#* menu IMEI is shown as 00000000 (eight zeroes), RADIO OFF and can't switch network type, even though the phone shows correct phone number if you hit "update" at the bottom of this very menu.
Have you had anything like that with your phones guys?
Maybe there's a way to force the phone to switch to WCDMA mode?
Now it's running lollipop, but nothing changed since 4.4.4
Hope we will find the solution together

Looks like the phone had lot of work around by previous user. If you can confirm that gsm working and you can call using gsm simcard I can help you with wcdma activation. By the way, HTC never released a Harman kardon edition for Verizon, and it must be Sprint (color black with champagne gold accent). Also, need not worry about MEID as anyone can easily change if the phone is s-off. Hope the phone didn't have a bad esn

The phone is pure HK edition. Before sending it to me friend of mine (in the US) confirmed that phone works and activates on Sprint network. I even contacted Sprint to ask them if the phone is unlocked, and they said they had no request to unlock this particular phone and it is not blacklisted (clean ESN).
In about a week I recieved the phone in my country, checked bootloader and it was "Locked" (not "re-locked") and "S-on" running 4.4.4. Then I unlocked bootloader with HTCDev instructions and followed "unlocking" instructions found here. The phone picks up foreign SIM card because "Sim toolkit" app pops up as soon as I insert SIM card. But GSM option is still greyed out and I'm unable to select different network types. If I try switching to UMTS/GSM from settings - mobile data menu it simply says "no SIM in the phone, swithcing back to CDMA mode" and if from *#*#4636#*#* menu it doesn't let me select other network type. Also the radio is still off fore some reason... If needed I can take a brief video showing all settings I have.
I was surprised to see Verison account on Sprint phone, but telling you as is.
P.s. friend of mine owns unlocked H/K M8 and I compare his settings to mine, he has radio ON and GSM is not greyed out and he can switch network types back and forth.
Thanks for help!

That means the phone is not SIM unlocked. Check the different threads on how SIM unlock under Sprint forum. Once it is SIM unlocked you will receive the gsm signal and you should be able to make calls. If your friend had contacted Sprint (if he was the owner of the phone) for SIM unlock they could have done it in a minute (they do for international travel). Well, anyways there are different methods to SIM unlock and make WCDMA work on your phone. Before that if you want to try changing the network type, use this app - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mangelow.network works very well.
Also, I am not sure for gsm if you even need MEID. If you want to restore the original MEID, try this link - http://androidforums.com/threads/guide-how-to-restore-service-if-youve-lost-your-meid.352598/
Good Luck!

Hey!
FINALLY!!! I got the phone unlocked!
I decided to write original MEID/ESN to the phone with CDMA Tools app and right after reboot the phone said "switching to international mode" and hooked up to my carrier's network. I suspect I got it unlocked a long time ago, but couldn't complete the unlock due to zeroed out MEID/ESN.
I'm sharing this info with all people here who got stuck with the "unlock" - before throwing your phone away check if it displays MEID normally. If not, then check original MEID/IMEI/Serial number in bootloader - barcode and write it down. Then write it to the phone with CDMA tools.
If someone needs an advice, just ask.

Hey man, thanks for posting your solution! i'm glad i don't have to throw my phone away after all...
I would really appreciate if you could explain more of how to use the CDMA tools to write the original MEID/ESN to the phone. I'm from Mexico so if it's posible that you can use a low level english or provide a link to a guide or tutorial, it would be extra awesome ! Thanks again
I'm having a tough timw getting the meid in place, looks it just keeps reverting to old. Are you using DFS or CDMA ?

I got a Sprint locked N950U device today from a third party, that I'd wish to unlock to work with any (international) carrier. I checked the IMEI and it's listed as clean. However, when I put a t-mobile card in, or a European SIM, and restart the phone I don't get the 'Enter network unlock code' dialog. After the OTA update I do get Sprint OMADM notification about trying to register the phone on the network, but since I don't have a SIM plan it fails. Do I first have to have the phone running registered on Sprint (or MVNO?) and then can switch to another carrier?
Also, when I go to at least two unlocking services online, and enter the make and model of the phone and IMEI, I never get an e-mail with unlock details and the form submission button just keeps saying 'Please wait'.

For Sprint's registeration/activation nag, have you tried disabling the responsible packages using an app like Package Disabler? If not, do that and see if still getting the unlock message. Worst case it will at least take care of the other nags. If you still get the unlock code message then try contacting Sprint to unlock. If you go 3rd party service, I've used cellunlocker dot net before.
i found samsungphoneunlock they unlock my note 8 from sprint via remote connection, someone has connected to my laptop and i follow some instructions and they unlock the phone for me..they told me sprint phone do not ask for code..i hope this helps..cheers
