I don't always ask for help, but when I do, it means I'm really stuck lol.
Im having network issues. My HTC One shows an X at the signal bar and I'm getting no service, however my SIM card is active, and my line is active. My radio is fine because it can find the networks, it just doesnt connect to them anymore. this just happened this morning after I wrongfully flashed a camera mod meant for the google experience roms but still, it was just a camera mod. I've done everything I could exept flash a T-Mobile RUU because there is none. I have the T-mobile version however its Super CID changed to all 1's, its S-off and bootloader unlocked. I flashed the newest radio, and the t mobile radio and nothing. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
anyone able to give me a hand please?
still nothing here :-/

Im going to try this and see if that works
changed the CID, tried to flash a t-mobile update in the t mobile section and nothing. this really sucks
Changed the CID, flashed a bunch of custom stock based rom, flashed GE Roms, nandroids, nothing. Going to change CID back to 1111111 to flash the developer edition RUU and if that doesnt work, time to relock everything and send it in to HTC. This is the most mysterious issue i have ever had on a phone.
anyone else have any suggestions?
New SIM card maybe
no luck. Flashed developer edition RUU and still the same. Will have to send it out to HTC. I changed the sim card too, have and still nothing.

apparently the person i bought it from got it in an unauthorized way. T-Mobile blacklisted it. I thought about calling them as i was filling out the ticket on htc's page and in the IMEI section, it hit me, called them and t mobile said it was blacklisted

I was gunna suggest you try the sim in a different phone - but it appears you've found the problem.

I unlocked my phone while it was on 2.2 using glaxy s unlock app from market. The other day i flashed ICSSGS RC4.1 rom and it changed my IMEI. Is my phone still unlocked?? I checked the rom's zip file and it doesnt contain efs folder which should mean that it didnt overwrite efs folder that contains unlock data. So my phone shouldnt be relocked right (i hope not because i need to use it in Europe in couple weeks ) ???
I'm interested in the answer to this as well. I unlocked mine whilst in gingerbread....but now that i have upgraded to ICS....is my phone still unlocked? I don't think my IMEI changed though....

Interesting. I unlocked mine in GB and updated to ICS over the weekend. Wanting to order up a straight talk sim and try it. I did verify that my IMEI matches what it is supposed to be. Hopefully it remains unlocked. I guess worse case is I have to drop back to 2.3.
Have yet to find a *# combo that will show you the lock status in ICS.
Did it change your IMEI back to 04999...whatever. If so, flash again because that is the default IMEI, mine did that before and I just reflashed from a stock oneclick. I think it somehow doesn't read the IMEI correctly sometimes. You might try one clicking back to GB(without bootloaders if you've already got them) and then diagnose from there.
Whenever I flash back to stock using odin, it relocks. But I have my code handy.
I ordered and installed a Straight Talk 'AT&T' sim this week. Everything is working as it should. I did check the hex code and the unlock bit was set, however, I have heard that the ST sim cards are unlocked so you don't necessarily need an unlocked phone. It doesn't really verify that I'm still unlocked, but I thought I would mention that in my case, I had no problems.
Ok so I'm sending my phone in for repair and would like to know what to do and what not to do when sending in to HTC for repair . I just dont want to pay extra for stupid crap software wise or some stupid re install fee for modifying my phone . I have no problems completing any task nessecary to go back to stock I just want to know what I cab get away with sending to htc. So here it goes
I have at&t branded one
I'm currently on android 4.3
Firmware 3.17
S-off
Cid 11111111
Hboot 1.55
And bootloader unlocked.
What can I get away with ? Leaving s-off no matter what and we all know why just hoping I get my same phone back .
Since I'm att does it matter that I'm higher than 4.1.2 and higher hboot cid bootloader etc etc
Really what does HTC care about ? And what should I correct before sending in to HTC ?
Thank you for your time
Should I just change my cid to dev and flash dev ruu ?

Very helpful.
To OP: What problem are you sending it in for? If its a hardware problem that couldn't be caused by anything you did, then leave it. They dont care unless it could be caused by something you did to the bootloader. Just to be safe though, you could make a twrp backup, then flash a stock rom. No need to relock the bootloader or anything.

And saying the same thing in more words is more helpful?
He should return it to stock software, why risk it?
Advising they don't care about unlocked and unsigned software is bizarre, since people have been refused repair or charged for a new mainboard.

In the US? When I called HTC to do my repair (power button stopped working), I asked if unlocking the bootloader mattered. He said not unless you brick the phone doing it. I sent it in bootloader unlocked and ARHD installed. I got it back with no hassles.

The unlock works 100%. If you don't see "SIMLock enabled" than it was successful. Probably the phone doesn't support your phone's frequencies. Don't jump directly to the last solution, read the thread thouroughly

Please heeelp me
Delete your IMEI please, it's not wise showing it to everybody. If you did get s-off and than downgraded, did you root your phone and than tried the "Sprint HTC One SIM unlock helper" app? What did the app say? I'm sure you didn't do some steps otherwise your phone would be unlocked. Hundreds of people have unlocked their phone this way. If the "SIMLock" message doesn't go away you probably don't have a sprint one
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk
The Sprint HTC one has blocked the carrier id's for domestic use aka att etc.. You can however if your s-off you can flash the initial release radio the first radio when the Sprint HTC was released and it will allow you to connect to domestic carriers. Here is the first radio released http://d-h.st/HHD I can pick up T-Mobile and att using the initial release radio, it is the only radio I could get to pick up signal with. The radio may be the reason your thinking that its not working, With any other radio you will get no signal and no networks avail. Your probably unlocked if you followed what elvisypi said, your just using the wrong radio. I would try flashing that radio and see what happens, I am in Ohio so i am using domestic carriers. Also make sure there bands in your area are covered.
Hello!
I wanted to go back to stock to send my phone in reparation because of the camera purple tint.
I tried to go back to stock using this tutorial and this French tutorial
I have a French HTC One with the French operator SFR.
I flashed the European RUU and after that I changed the CID by VODAP203 and I flashed a stock ROM of my operator downloaded from in the French tutorial. After that I flashed the related firmware and my phone started normally.
But I have big issues:
- Wi-Fi doesn't work and I get the "Error" message when I try to activate it.
- I can't transfer files to my phone using both adb push and simply copy and paste... The transfer bar doesn't move for minutes!
- When the phone boots, I got the error message "This phone just restored from an abnormal reset, Would you like to send an error report to HTC?"
I am completely lost, I have absolutely no ideas how to fix these issues... If someone could help please!
Thanks a lot for your help!

Haha that's right! I didn't think about that but there is no way for HTC to figure out those problems are the result of a bad flashing?
If you are stock again, locked (not relocked) your boot loader and s-on there is no sign that you flashed a thing. If they say so, they are just lying. Send it for repair.

I don't know of any, but at one time @LeeDroid was going to try to get it working. However, he had a setback with carrier support, and he has had to put it on the back burner for now.

Hi, I am trying to convert to Tmobile. I bought Verizon M9 because I got a good deal on it and thought since they are unlocked I could just put my SIM in and be working right away. I can make calls and text message and use internet after adding the APN. But I can't get the hotspot to work, hate the Unknown SIM notification and all the VZN apps. To get my phone as close to Tmo as possible would I just have to follow Captain_Throwback's guide and then flash a Tmo rom, or restore a backup, or RUU? Sorry for the noob question

I didn't think you could use a Verizon phone on a GSM carrier network, but if you can that's cool. If your phone is working on the T-Mobile network you can unlock the bootloader and root to install a T-Mobile rom, but you will have to check with the Sunshine thread to see if they have it working on Verizon M9's yet. If they do you can S-OFF, and install T-Mobile firmware and rom. Keep me posted on how you do.
