I just installed carbonrom today. Tried to change it to tablet mode under carbon/interface/advanced/ui mode
However, nothing changes after switching to tablet mode. The system bar is still on top and buttons on nav bar are still in the bottom center.
Please help.

Before installing carbonrom, I did factory reset, wiped data and formatted system. I then install latest carbonrom B8 and gapps.
Reboot that should do it
Sent from my SGH-I997 using xda app-developers app
I tried the Carbon rom and thought it was good but somehow gravitated back toward the CM10.1 Rom. You def have to reflash gapps. That was one of my mistakes when I came from am10.1 to it. Going back, you def need to reset/ wipe factory data which was troublesome since I had to reinstall most of my apps.

Thanks! That worked!
One more problem:
My screen blacks out when rotating for a second or two. Any solution?
Thank you!

I did all the resets. As for apps, you can use some backup app so you do have to manually install all apps when flashing to CarbonRom. However, what troubles me is the black-screen problem so I decided to go back to cm10 until that problem is solved.

In order to get the reboot menu on 10.1 you need to activate developer options and enable Advanced Reboot as well as enable Reboot Menu in System, Power Menus. Activating developer options is tricky. As I recall you have to tap the Android version number seven times in About Tablet. I have 10.1 on emmc, but I suspect all of the above also applies for SD installs.
So, i just updated to CM11 nightly 15112015, then i went to Settings → Storage and cleaned up Misc and Cache. I opened Xposed and i saw that SDK 19 is not yet supported. I was messing around then i pressed Uninstall, and it went on bootlooping eversince. I tried to remove the battery for a day but it didn't work. I could only access recovery mode, which is glitching, and download mode.
Galaxy S3 I9300 running CM11 15112015 nightly, Boeffla kernel.
Note: There is little chance for hardware error like problems with the buttons, because it is a combination of 3 buttons, and the phone stopped booting on battery insert when i came home.
Hi after i flash my Mi A2 with the latest offical Rom from Carbon i lost my vibration on the phone. In recovery mode on the TWRP there is also no vibration, i tried to turn it on many times in the settings on the system and on twrp but nothing worked.
I think the vibration engine is broken because i changed the battery before i flashed the phone, but i don't know.
Is there someone out there how had the same experience with the vibrations and the carbon rom?
Except from the vibration everything works fine on the phone.
You may have disconnected/damaged the connection to the vibrator while replacing the battery.
