[Q] cm 7.2 camera and gallery help! - LG Optimus 2x

Hi, i have recently given my p990 to my mum since i got a new phone but she wasn't very happy with the battery life on the cm10 rom i was on so i decided to revert it back to cm7.2 temasek's rom. The problem is that the gallery and the camera wont work without an external sd card. Is there any way to make it work without it?
thank you

[Q] Bootloop in standby on MIUI MintBerry Edition 1.12.25

Hello,
a brief history: coming from brand rom, using cf-root and stock kernel with CM 7.1 stable rel and everything fine for 2 months. After I've bootloop with a "unexpected sd card removed" notification. Rollin back to brand stock rom for 2 weeks but it's a PITA.
Today I flashed I9000XXJVT, CF-Root and, after, Fugumod r1980v and Mintberry 1.12.25. Everything's seems ok.. I leave SGS on the desk for a couple of hours only with Wifi (no sim inserted) to see if fall down to bootloop again and..... yes, it does..
I can post my logcat 'cause is too big and I can't post an external link
I really appreciate if somebody can help me..
Thanks a lot

[Q] Problem Galaxy S i9000

Hi all!
I have a problem with my Galaxy S i9000. Audio recording isn't working in video camera, recorder and third part apps but i can do a call normally! the problem is born when i changed the stock rom (Froyo) with another one (custom) and is still not working with all roms except MIUI or cyanogenmod 7.1! but i want to install a ICS Rom. what can i do for solving this problem?
thanks
P.s. now i installed CM9 and i want to keep it!
P.p.s. i'm sorry if I have done some grammatical errors!
Hi, is the bug you described still the same now that you are using CM9? And which version of Cm9 are you using?build 17 now replaced by nightly builds , if you are on the latest nightly you should post a bug report (attaching relevant info as asked for in opening post) in the developer post.

as you said you directly come from froyo to ics..............ffirst you have to flash gingerbread version XXJVU...............then go to ics…...……...this is the right way to flash ics rom.......by doing this your problem will be short out.
i'm sorry, maybe i'm not explained so well.
I changed Froyo with a stock Gingerbread and i had problems with recording...after this i flashed another custom gingerbread rom and i had the same problem...so i tried a MIUI rom! with this ROM everything is working fine (the same with CM7) but now i installed CM9 Nightly (ICS) and the problem is came back... it's a strange problem...
p.s. when i flash a rom i ALWAYS do a full wipe.
Up

Your advice needed please

Hi All,
I've recently flashed my Galaxy Ace to mclaw's RC2, I really like the rom but the problem being is the sound and camera aren't working. Tried to apply the RC2 patch provided by him but then the phone just gets stuck on boot animation. Is there any other stable cm9 builds that I can flash safely from mclaw's one? Secondly if I want to go back to gingerbread can I safely just restore the backup I had made using cwm or do I have to flash back using Odin? (would be appreciated if someone could give a link to a odin flash guide)
Lastly I assume all CM9 builds have been halted to focus on CM10 builds, in light of this, would I be better off flashing CM10?
Your feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers
if you want some other cm9 try the one by waylandace..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1868121
and you can restore the last nandroid backup if you have.. better to wipe everything and restore.. nothing will happen to your phone
i use the cm9 rc1 for long time, for me is the better until now, the cm9 have some bugs, especifically on camera with deep sleep etc.
i recommend rc1 not nearly gave me no error or bug.
try and tell us your feedback ;
Good luck ! :good:
Thanks for the replies guys.

[Q] Gingerbread Stock Rom or Cyanogenmod 9

Hello guys
I need you help to decide either to stay to my stock gingerbread rom or root my phone and install cyanogenmod 9 on my Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000
Please tell me which one is more stable and better to use..
Thanks in advance
Should just go with Cyanogenmod 10 Nightly. I use my phone every day and get no random reboots, stability issues or incompatible features/apps. Everything seems to work great. I can't see much of a reason to use CM9 since CM10 works so well
I moved to CM10 from XXJW4 2.6.4 and have no plans on rolling back.

I've been using CM9RC2 for a few months now and it's good. I find it a lot more stable and a lot faster than stock. However, I find I miss a lot of the small things about the stock ROM that just aren't in CM. The Contacts app is poor (can't link contacts, no Facebook integration) as is the stock Calender and the default music player that comes with it is atrocious.
If you can live with those, or are willing to pay for some appropriate replacement apps then I can definitely recommend going with CM
I'm always on gb, lately JW7 gb rom, ext4 format, Semaphore 2. 7.4. Reliable and fast.
Since a week I turned on a CM10. I like a lot, it's stable but very battery drainy and no faster than my previus gb JW7.
I think GB is still the best for our poor i9000...

I switched from Samsung GB to CM9 when it became stable mi-August (now I'm on CM9.1).
I don't plan to switch to CM10 until it is stable (or at least in RC stage) => and I hope it will become stable before 4.2 goes open source and pawitp starts working on next CM!
For me, my phone is much better with CM9: less reboots (I only had one in two months instead of one per week with GB).
My phone is generally more enjoyable: it is difficult to point specific functionnalities (there are many), but the user experience has been a big focus for Google in ICS, and the result is really great for me. I like stock applications a lot (even though contact app may indeed have less functionnalities than Touchwiz one). One the other side, I could not say if the phone is faster or not: so it your main concern is speed, the switch won't change much (unless you go with CM10 which is supposed to be faster). Main drawback for me is that MMS don't work anymore, but I guess it's a problem very specific to my case as I didn't find other people having my problem (and as I didn't use MMS a lot, I didn't take time to investigate heavily the issue).

Can any one help me out ... I m very much tensed Please please help me....:crying:
Just pull out the battery and then insert it after couple of minutes. Then power on while pressing 3 button combo and go to the download mode. Start Odin 1.7 in your PC and try to flash any stock gb rom.

You need to use Odin to get gingerbread bootloader before you can flash custom gb roms

I've installed CM10 after I was on CM9 for almost 2 months and I can say my phone works much better compared to GB and CM9. Everything's much faster and much smoother.

[Q] ROM suggestion for Samsung GT-S5300

I build Elasy to my GT- S5300. It seems smooth but generaly slow at the same time. Before that I tried Purekat. It was good too except a few bugs. But then I realized it didn't see my SD card. And before that, I mean first of all, I tried Kitkat Smart R2. When I downloaded Instagram it said app doesn't compatible with my android version. I thought there would be problem with other random applications too and I tried the other roms. Soo I'm looking for another decent rom. Any suggestions?
