[Question]Custom governors cm10/.1, aosp, AOKP.. - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anybody know a way we can get custom CPU governors for cyanogenmod based roms or do we have to wait for the ROM developers? Thanks.

i dont theres an easy way to add governors to an existing system, you'll have to compile a new kernel with more governors

I once asked kasper_h for that, you need to recompile the kernel with changed values to 0 mA.
But I couldn't try it since my HD has not enough space.

Yes you can do that.
But if you want, I can start on my kernel for you guys, with the inclusions of LED control and etc.

A custom kernel for cm10 4.1.2 would be great.

A echo command shouls be enough. Maybe someone with ICS can check, which file is being changed, when you switch leds from on to always off. It should be one value going from 1 to 0 or vice versa. Just check it out, try the same on cm10, since it uses the same drivers and enjoy. I cant test it, cause I dont have time and I am not using ICS.

[Q} 16GB HD+ lags on every ROM. Suggestions?

So my Nook HD+ lags on every ROM I've tried. Both Carbons, CM 10.2, and CM 10.1.3. I have the 6th revision of the Samsung eMMC. And I ask, any suggestions are to what I can do to eradicate or minimize lag? If you have any ideas as to why I'm getting so much lag, please let me know, as well. Thanks!

Ok. I know how to do that, but idk what that means/what it does. Could you explain please?
Instead of focusing on just the read speeds or the write speeds
It does both simultaneously

Will the processor be able to handle that?
Yes
It works on virtually any tired device
And the processor doesn't handle it
It's the kernel and the flash storage of the device

Custom kernel

Will it ever be possible to have a kernel that doesn't have a 1GHz bug or kernel battery drain? Are there perhaps any out there compatible with cm11? If so, please notify me.

Please post questions in the relevant Q&A section. The development fora are for sharing work you've developed or are currently working on.
Thread moved to Q&A.
I've come across one a few months back, but its thread got closed because the developer didn't release the kernel sources.

Is that the chaco kernel? Is it better than the kernel that Maclaw uses?

Yes, and it's based on Maclaw's kernel, so it should at least be as good.
