So I've been searching for an advanced cameras app where you can play around. So far I've come across camera v5 not sure if the name's right... The Beauty of it is that you can adjust the shutter speed to capture light trails like in a dslr... What I'm looking for is something that lets me manually adjust the focus.. The Optimus black on ginger bread had the option and it was great, any one know of such an app?

Increasing the shutter speed will result in less light coming inside the camera so the pic will look dark or even black.
Long time i didn't tried CM roms so i don't know what settings it has.
Could you attach some settings screenshots.
Sent from my C6603 using xda premium
The app is called camera fv 5. It's a paid app on the platform store.. Also increasing the shutter speed won't capture more light.. You need to set a long shutter delay to capture light trails...
Here are a few recent pics

I like how easy that is, but us there a way to choose the file type (instead of PNG)? When I took a screen shot that way I could not post it with the xda app (not a valid image format), I had to use ShootMe to get a jpg that I could upload.

Awesome, thanks so much, I've been looking into the app no root methods and they all seem to be tethered solutions, meaning you have to re-enable them through your PC every time you reboot. I can't believe LG just put it in the FW and very few know about it, the crazier thing is why Android hasn't just incorporated it into the Android OS.
thank you sir every day im in love with my thrill more and more
Yay ! thank you for the info.. I didn't know android phones could do this, but I never really looked into it.. I loved this option on the iphone now my lg thrill keeps getting better

It has to be an object that moves in the scene. It's more so if you take a zoe but are really using it to take a still and some one or something gets in a frame it just uses a frame without the object and replaces it with the blank space.

Yes, it is way better than SA.
The camera app in cm10.1 allows me to manually change my ISO and shutter speed, so in a way it's like playing with my DSLR.

1. try taking some of the same pics with an S4 then compare side by side on a monitor. S4 uses the same camera hardware as the ZR
2. try SA mode at night

Well, of course the camera will be inferior to a Samsung flagship but for the money you spend it's pretty good.

quite a few changes. lots of customization options are not there (brightness, exposure etc), so i guess they're automated. photosphere works fine, lens blur works fine. google play link reports it as incompatible with my device, even though i'm on 4.4.2 rom.
Installed it through Google play without any problems. I'm on Beanstalk 4.4.2

The only way i've discovered is to run either Doomlord or Pimped kernels (requires unlocked bootloader) and toning down the 'brightness', it trades off some brightness for better viewing angles + slightly better saturation. Other than that, it basically comes down to the horrible panel screen itself.
Isn't there one (or more) module for Xposed framework that gives access to some screen adjustment on any phone?
Yup like x reality for whole screen everywhere
Sent from my C6902 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Your best bet would be flashing a custom kernel with that feature that modifies gamma etc. One of those kernels is DoomKernel.
unfortunately Z1's biggest problem is the tft panel with this terrible contrast . the only way is to use a custom rom with DoomKernel to adjust the colors and combining it with white balance for a better experience and better contrast and viewing angles.but notice that the brightness will be very very decreased!
