Hello guys,
I am new to the forum and to android too and I was wandering if you can lock the bootloader (not relocked, locked).
I have seen people hacking it and changing it from relocked to locked and I was wandering if I could do the same thing. I do not know many terms that you guys use like s-off and hboot so if you guys could also explain me what they mean.
I have the HTC one from at&t m7.
Thank you guys so much, and have a great day and summer
Please read through the forum stickies, there are step by step guides and information on everything.
For example there is one that say go back to stock 100% which relocks the bootloader.
It's good forum etiquette.

It's not Wikipedia, but XDA-Developers Wiki
Unlocking was the hardest part (lose all data and likely no backup )
Just flash any (compatible) recovery and reboot into it.
Then flash su.zip to get root access.
Hi guys, I'm really new on the one (bought today ) and coming from my rooted one x.
My one got the welcome splash screen and shut down by Vodafone_it and some Vodafone apps installed. My question is if my one is a branded one, and if I have to follow a particular procedure for rooting.
In bootloader mode I see m7-ul
Any suggestion welcomed
Thanks

Just use moonshine or revone. Process is the same for all variants. No, I won't post a step by step guide, just go read the threads.
Thanks mate,
I don't need a step by step guide. I just asked to know if I'll have to follow a particular procedure
Thanks again for informations.

It wasn't exactly personal to you, just had to clarify since people request it once they ask about s-off. More of just making sure a guide isn't expected.

Ok guys...let me understand better please...
My one's m7_ul from Vodafone Italy cid vodap405.
I read topics about rooting and soffing but I won't doing something wrong...
For the rooting I think there s no problem following the Mikes one. Right?
To soff I have to change my cid? Also..it's better to change my cid?
Thanks...
P.s. if Italian people have done that please pm me...

thanks for the quick reply, where can i find a guide? ive found some guides but i need a ruu for my carrier which isnt available.
I am on pacman rom 4.4.4 right now and I am trying to downgrade back to unrooted stock ICS so that I can sell my phone. Also my phone is S-OFF and unlocked, I currently use it with T-Mobile. I've looked at many forum posts but none clearly describe any way to do it and if someone can point me in the right direction. I also was hoping if the phone will still be unlocked if I returned to stock. Thanks in advance.
Use the search on the vivid forums for RUU and you should be able to find a post with detailed instructions on how to perform a stock firmware install.

Nevermind i got it
