This is my 1st post on the forum, I think that's someone can help me,
I have( had ) a Galaxy S with JVO firmware, and I tried to flash it with Odin, this is not the 1st time I do it, but this time I've got an error, so when verifying the TAR file used, I discovered that I used a Galaxy S2 firmware , so automatically I unplugged the cable, and removed the battery, and when I try to turn it on, or launch recovery mode, or even the download mode, nothing happen, and the worst thing ever is when I put it on the electricity sector, nothing happen, the screen steel black
Can any one help me please?
Oh dear?
Maybe you need to get a Download mode Jig?
someone else may be able to answer weather or not that will help.

Me too, I had the same issue few days ago, but I haven't tried the JIG thing yet. But having seen some doing it on Youtube, gave me hope.....
I sent mine off to Samsung, I blamed it on kies, because if it won't turn on, enter download nor recovery, theirs no way they can tell you've been tampering with it, so they fixed mine for free under warranty
A jig won't work if your phone won't turn on as its only for soft bricked phones where you see the phone, caution, and PC symbol, the only thing you can do is send it off for repair, I bought a jig for 9.99 and anticipated it till it arrived and didn't work, you need to send it off bud, theirs nothing you nor anyone else can do mate :-( sorry :-(

I just got the same problem too..
I don't know where to order JIG..
maybe I'll go for Samsung service center, but my phone not include warranty..

It should still be recognized in odin with that screen and flashable. Reflash with full battery and ensure file was okay and not corrupt.

Yeah if the com port is yellow in odin just try again (but right after you turn it on and connect it) I've been there before and its recoverable.

Unfortunately I did connect to odin ... But there was not yellow port... Simply odin didn't recognize...

Right after battery inserted? You might reinstall the drivers too? Keep trying. Clean the usb port on the phone, try a different odin etc.

I now reinstalled the driver although It's already in my laptop.. so after that should I put the battery first or put it later after plug in to my laptop?

remove the battery from phone
connect the phone to pc, and when the pc beeps put the battery right away..
I tried it on my mini since it can't powered on a few days ago. and it worked.

Doesn't matter if it beeps or not actually, my PC didn't beep too when I plug the phone but I just put the battery back on and it booted.
I'm afraid your mini is indeed bricked.
You can try a USB jig or "Jtag (correct me if I'm wrong)..

Dude its expensive (about 150 $)
And it might not work . just send it to Samsung repair center and they will fix it for a cheaper price .
N.B : I did that , my phone got bricked too and as u can it is working .

To me, it looks like it needs to be sent back to Samsung. See if you can get it fixed under warranty, if not you'll have to pay. Good luck.

Hi dheeraj, is it possible that an empty or totally dead battery could prevent your phone from "memorizing" the flashing you do with Odin, so to send the device always in boot loop? I'm asking this since I'm having the same problem that the user who opened this thread has described, even if with a GT-S6500. It can only go into download mode, but not into recovery mode (could it be soft bricked?). I don't know what the previous owner did, but I'm trying to resurrect the phone. Thanks in advance for your help.

thought your problem got solved
no it cannot happen that without battery the memory would be washed out as it is written on a storage kind of device
what you can do is just flash a four package firmware through odin (phone, pda, csc etc. slots filled)
let the phone reboots on it own, after rebooting the mobile will automatically go into stock recovery and will do some processing and you would be done

You have to submit it to the Samsung's Service Center........ its the only way out..... no jigs, jtag etc. It won't work....
Thanks. However, it's going to be a good toy because there's no official service centre here.

Try out three button combo home+vol down+power
2
Or try out usb jig, order from ebay or make one at home (YouTube it)
3
Search for jtag service in your country, get it jtag.
4
Samsung service centre!

I9070 & I9070P seem to be quite different. There is much development for I9070 and little with I9070P. In addition to I9070 bins bricking I9070P devices, there are no recovery programs such as CWM or TWRP for the I9070P. The difference between the two devices may be enough to warrant independent discussions or separate threads.

It's not about how you brick it, it's about them trying to prove it.
