Yeah i did download the GingerDX v031b-shakira from google code But when i installing it, i got softbrick
which one is without Bootloader i mean there's many section :crying:

Download v031b for Stock Semc Kernel.
Follow the installation instructions clearly and you won't get a bootloop.

I guess this will help!! Because Naa Kernel is great kernel but puts a W8 in bootloop at times!! Mainly cause its not made for E16i

As i know no you cant, but you can have it with stock or alfs kernel, froyopro is a good choice, and there will be a new update to 2.5 in couple days since developer is testing it right now

Yes you can, coz FroyoPro works with stock and alfs kernels, but after you flash rom you need to flash fix for alfs kernel form second post..

mine is x8 and ppc recognize it as x10 even with x8 custom Rom.this mismatch is not related with roms,i think.maybe baseband or something else.

Sorry for being rude, fought wid my girlfriend at dat tym !!! Btw mine is slso x10 in se pc companion... i use flashtool only... try it... initially its confusing, l8r on its easy, when u get used to it...

EDIT - im lovin the custom kernel.. the rooting process seems to be virtually gone.. flashtool resolved the whole thing.. havent experienced any issues yet.. ill edit the post again in case any issues may arise.. thanks again bro..
Black Screen
I was near heart attack I have flashed this kernel to my beloved Xperia Pro and then I found myself with a black screen of death.
I'm on 4.0.4 and .431 kernel, of course I'm having the international version of the phone MK16i.
To solve the problem I used flashtool to re-flash the .431 and then my device could boot..
Can you tell me where I went wrong I'm on a stock rom btw.

Since i can't post in dev forum yet i have to ask it here
With GingerZaraki V08 is it safe and reccomended to use Kernel Alfs 08a or 09a since the support for 09a is added?
I know it says "reccomended 08a" but i suspect author simply forgot to update instructions.
Not that i'm picky or something but i always prefer to have the 'newest' stuff since it usually means fixes and performance tweaks etc.
No, you should ask in the Q&A section or the ROMs thread.
Try them both and keep whichever you feel it works better.
i also reccommend alfs v8 because v9 has some bugs and is unstable

umm that kernel doesnt exist for x8 sooo....
go to settings > about phone > kernel version
did u ever flash kernel on your x8....if u didnt you have stock kernel

You can find the GAPPS in the Gingerdx thread. Download it then go to cwm and flash it.
