assuming you are s-off you can ruu any version you like, there are a few threads in the development section with some ruu's....but it will still show s-off, you can re-write the security flag with a fastboot command, I am sure a googel search will find the command...

You know we have a FAQ Guide for Sprint right?
Please don't mess with those links or you may end up with a shiny brick.

Dont mess with links from verizon or att, not gonna end well, maybe a simpler way to accomplish your goal is to flash a stock rom, and flash a hex edited hboot, that is exactly what I did when I returned mine for repairs, its simple, a sprint tech wouldnt know the difference, if sending to HTC, I am sure they will know.... read this... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1786498 ....you can create an edited hboot to flash to your device, will be strictly cosmetic, and flash a stock rom, or a stock backup you may have made before you started modding.....a local sprint tech aint gonna know the difference.....
USB data will not work
I am S ON and my PC will not recognize by phone. I have win 8.1 using the updated universal naked drivers. My phone was recognized under this configuration for a couple months. I have tried several USB cords in different USB ports. I have tried three other computers. When I plug the phone into an outlet, I get a Slow Charge notification. When I try to run ADB Devices command on terminal after running ADB mode in TWRP I receive error: no Devices Found.
It seems obvious that I have a faulty USB port. Is there a way to return to stock without connecting to a computer and ridding TAMPERED from HBOOT? I just want to return to Sprint and see if one of the Techs can fix .
Thanks
So I've searched this forum and other forums numerous times before I posted this. Androidcentral, amongst other forums, and i still can't find a solution to my many RUU problems.
Basically AT&T is making me send my phone back, I rooted it, S-Off, And my bootloader is currently unlocked. Every time I try and used RUU, I get errors ranging from Error 155, to Error 170. Sometimes RUU will begin to flash my phone back to stock. But then my phone hangs at the HTC One silver logo, and I have to restart the phone because it won't go any further.
I have tried to lock my bootloader, as well as unlock it, and S-Offed my phone and tried it with S-On and I am still getting numerous errors. It managed to start flashing once, and put me back on HBOOT 1.44, from HBOOT 1.55, and it seems like it doing that has made my problems worse.
I DO have the correct RUU exe for my phone, I'm certain of it, and now whenever I go to manually push the .ZIP file through ADB, it hangs on the screen that says waiting for device, or when I try and getvar as well.
Any solutions would be greatly appreciated. I'm usually very very very very knowledgeable about rooting and unrooting and going back to factory stock on numerous phones. But this is my first HTC.

Are you on Win8.1? hboot 1.44 doesn't play nice with Win 8.1
take a look at my guide (also the FAQs!!!), http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541082

Hi,
I'm really stressing out right now because my HTC one is stuck in bootloader and i think i've tried everything.
Basically i thought it would be fun to root my phone (first time), i used the cyanogenmod installer. But i really did not like the looks of thing and actually wanted to go back to sense 6. Although i can't really remember what i actually did to remove CM, but i managed to. And now all i get is the fastboot/bootloader screen.
Adb won't recognize my phone, USB-debugging is turned off, S-ON, and bootloader is RELOCKED.
I have not flashed a recovery even though i did try to but failed.
I really have no clue what to do now.
Please is there still a solution or did i screw up my phone for good?
Thanks in advance, Giagi

first thing is first, get your bootloader unlocked again, you cant do anything to fix your phone before you do that, and that is why the recovery failed to install, once that is done, download and install TWRP recovery 2.6.3.3 from here: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7 it has the best success rate, and flash it.
Fastboot commands are for when you are in the bootloader, ADB is only for when you are in recovery and in a ROM.
Once all that is done you will be able to push and flash any custom ROM.
ps, put USB debugging out of your mind, it has nothing to do with what you are trying to do.
Thanks for your respond. But as far as i can tell i either need to enable USB-debugging in order to unlock bootloader, or i need to do it via htcdev for which i need adb to recognize my phone. Or did i miss anything?
I did not use the htcdev method the first time so i do not have a token.

Do you have your USB drivers installed on your computer, can you post a screen shot of your device manager whilst your phone is plugged into the PC ?
USB debugging is only for when you are booted into a ROM, and as you don't have a working rom on your phone, it doesn't apply.
Are you S-OFF ?
If not then you will have to goto HTC Dev and follow their instructions on how to unlock your bootloader
Put your phone in bootloader mode, plug it into the PC, it will then say fastboot USB, not ADB USB, ie fastboot commands not ADB commands.
post your fastboot getvar all please.

It doesn't work because you installed CWM, I said install TWRP recovery 2.6.3.3, most custom rom's require that recovery, it should also mention that in the original thread of the rom you flashed.
I will need your fastboot getvar all output in order to know what your stock rom is.

yup 401 is your correct version for your CID, the strange thing is, you can only flash firmware if you are s-off, or if you had a lower firmware first.
this is your correct stock reset file, but I wouldn't flash it myself as your firmware doesn't match anymore: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_3-62-401-1-zip/
Stock ROM version for these types:
modelid: PN0710000
cid: HTC__001, HTC__E11
HTC__102, HTC__203
HTC__405, HTC__Y13
HTC__304, HTC__032
HTC__A07, HTC__J15
HTC__016
im sorry but I don't have any experience with dev edition firmware and not sure which ruu's etc you can flash, maybe one of the other senior members can guide you from here.
But if I was to be up front with you, especially with you being s-on, I would say you were stuck with custom rom's only now, as you cant back flash or flash the correct firmware without s-off.

Sorry, to bother you again, but it seems as if my problem is not completely resolved.
Every time i shut down my phone it goes into a bootloop, where it boots up, stay on for about 2 mins where it just works as normal, and then shuts down again. After which it reboots again and so on.
The first time this happened i did a factory reset and this seemed to work. But after i shut down my phone for a second time the problem appeared again. And i really don't want to reset it again.
hey I want to update my htc one to 4.4 and get rid of twrp.
I´ve unlocked it via htcdev and installed twrp.
i have got s-on

can I just relock the phone or do i need stock recovery? (hop I´m useing the coreced terms here :/ )
if so can I follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545227.
I remeber that I had to download some drivers when I unlocked the phone and I dont think that they are still on my computer. could someone send me a link to them?
thanks

You don't want to lock the bootloader unless you plan to reflash an RUU. with it unlocked you will just need to reflash to the stock recovery and then do your update. Are you trying to run an ota to 4.4?
Here is a link to drivers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2232799

This tool might be easier to use and quicker for getting the required ADB & Fastboot tools. Here is what is required to receive an OTA update. And yes, you will need your stock recovery installed. However, since you are on a lower hboot, it might be more beneficial to S-OFF first before the 4.4 update. S-OFF gives you more options going forward.

I couldn't agree more. the ability to change CID and flash any available RUU while bootloader unlocked is a huge advantage if you like to be adventurous with your devices' software.

First, read this post about OTA Updates.
Next, you need to download two OTA files from this site. The 2.24.161.1 OTA and the 3.63.161.6 OTA will be used to update your phone.
After downloading the first (2.24 OTA) open up the zip and find the firmware.zip file. Open the firmware.zip and extract the recovery.img file from it. This file is your stock recovery. You flash it like you did your custom recovery by placing it in your ADB/Fastboot folder. Here are the steps:
In bootloader/FASTBOOT USB:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Relock your bootloader with this command in FASTBOOT USB: fastboot oem lock
You can follow the steps in this post on Manually Installing OTAs.
Please read everything at least twice. If you don't understand something then don't hesitate to ask!

much simpler way, as unlocking the bootloader deletes some files required to update, just leave twrp on your phone for the time being, and download this rom ive linked below, if your phone is currently booting up, then just plug it into the computer and move the zip file to your internal storage, then reboot into recovery and install it like you would do with any other rom, during the aroma installer, select wipe data, install stock recovery and install stock radio, upon reboot, you couldn't be anymore stock.

Go to RUU mode and flash an RUU. There's a lot of threads explaining how to go to back to stock on this forum. If it still doesn't work, it might be an internal issue like the motherboard.
Can someone please recommend an RUU to go to... I'm just worried if I use the wrong one it will cause more issues. I thought RUUs were dependent on the CID num and as that's been changed to allow custom roms... I'd be happy taking it back to a plain old vanilla HTC / Google - just something to get it back alive.
Thanks
Should also add I can't get s-off... adb devices doesn't show anything... I'm guessing usb debugging wasn't set up

There is no ruu we can recommend because your version-main is blank the fact that you also have superCID doesn't help identifying which ruu you'll need to use.

You'll have to unlock the bootloader, flash a custom recovery (twrp preferred), flash a rom and use your phone like that or, if you want, from there you will be able to achieve s-off again and convert your phone to wherever you want (Stock Sense or stock GPE) by flashing a RUU.

Thanks so much for this... I've been learning more all day (traditionally an iOS guy)...
Am I right in thinking I would need to sideload a custom rom through twrp and then install it? If so, I'm having an issue getting my laptop to talk to the phone - "adb devices" is pretty flakey to say the least, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't... I've read various things about Windows 8 and that adb works best on Windows 7, can you please confirm I'm on the right track here. I'd like to put the Viper rom on it.
Thanks again
In order to flash custom recovery you need to be booted to bootloader menu, and use fastboot commands. If you flash TWRP 2.8.6.0 or later, there's no need to sideload a ROM because newer TWRP recoveries have MTP option, so you use that. Try to go to bootloader, connect your phone to your laptop or PC, and issue a command fastboot devices. If it shows your phone, you're good to go
Thanks donkeyking1...
I got it working eventually, I needed to install new drivers for Windows 8 then adb started behaving properly. I ended up pushing the Viper ROM to the phone... The phone's alive now but currently it has no IMEI, baseband or OS - they're all blank. I'm wondering if it's because I've installed Viper 9 without upgrading the firmware first? My next goals are to try and S-OFF the device so I can install a stock rom, at which point hopefully I'll get OTA updates and then go back to Viper 9 - it looks great, I just can't use it! - no phone signal!
Does that sound like the right approach? I'm trying to flash different custom roms to hopefully find one that works with rumrunner. I've read that some folks have managed to S-OFF on hboot 1.57 with rumrunner, but it's picky on the rom that's installed. It doesn't work on Viper 9...
If anyone can add any help it would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance

flash the 7.19.401.2 firmware and then the 7.19.401.2 RUU. If you still have imei problem after that, its most likely an hardware defect.
relock your bootloader if not already locked or re-locked:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
Code:
fastboot orm rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip M7_UL_Firmware_7.19.401.2.zip
fastbppt flash zip M7_UL_Firmware_7.19.401.2.zip
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot oem rebootRUU
htc_fastboot flash zip PN07IMG_M7_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_HTC_Europe_7.19.401.2_Radio_4T.35.3218.16_10.33Q.1718.01L_release_421790_signed.zip
fastboot reboot
*** use htc_fastboot.exe for flashing the ruu (linked below). Save all files in the same folder where you already have fastboot.exe and adb.exe on your computer.
M7_UL_Firmware_7.19.401.2.zip
PN07IMG_M7_UL_L50_SENSE60_MR_HTC_Europe_7.19.401.2_Radio_4T.35.3218.16_10.33Q.1718.01L_release_421790_signed.zip
htc_fastboot.exe
Alray, just curious (still learning ), how do you know from the info I've given you that the firmware / RUU you've suggested is one to fix the issues - I've struggled to understand this the past few days - thanks!

To flash a ruu on a s-on phone there are many prerequisites:
The RUU must match your MID: 7.19.401.2 is for PN0710000
The RUU must match your CID: You have superCID so its not a problem.
The RUU must be the same version or an upgrade from your actual version, we don't know your actual version because of your blank versio-main but you have 1.57 hboot which suggest a 6.xx.xxx.x version. So 7.19.401.2 should be an upgrade.
The bootloader must be locked or re-locked.
There is no risk trying it, the worst that can happen is that the phone won't accept the ruu and nothing will be flashed.

Super CID + your MID. WWE firmware should work just fine. Right @alray?

Well, thanks so much for your help guys, but alas it seems the phone is k-put... Flashed the firmware and the rom no problem.... but it still shows no IMEI / IMEI SV / IMSI and it can't recognise the phone number - I'm guessing it can't read the sim. It does show the OS and IMEI in the bootloader, but once booted it's a no go.

Try to bend your sim tray just a little bit. Maybe your sim card is not reaching the contacts inside the phone. Or put a piece of paper under the sim and see what happens
Thanks donkeykong1, I've tried but it's not working... The fact the IMEI / IMEI SV and baseband are unknown though... they're not sim related...
It does show the baseband and IMEI in fastboot getvar all though?...
There were a lot of people with that same issue, and their phones worked fine, so I doubt it has anything to do with your sim. Your sim works in another phone?
Yeah, the sim's fine. @alray said it's likely a hardware issue if the firmware / rom didn't repair the IMEI issue, and the other threads I've looked at with the same issue are all saying the motherboard's faulty.
Although I am baffled as to why it is showing the IMEI / baseband in the bootloader, in fastboot etc. but not once the phone has booted up?...
I read on another thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2253514) that maybe flashing a kernal and/or radio might solve it?
Just wondering whether I should try flashing an official HTC rom? I've been in touch with the guy I got it off and he said it was originally on Orange, UK:
http://www.htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads > One M7 / v5.0.2 > Find Files : Page 6
One M7 / Orange / UK / CRC / 3.4.10 / v5.0.2 / 539.0 MB / 7.19.61.10
Was also thinking of...
http://www.htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads > One M7 / v5.0.2 > Find Files : Page 1
One M7 / HTC / EU / MR 3 / 3.4.10 / v5.0.2 / 486.0 MB / 7.19.401.22
If I did that would I need to update the firmware first like you advised originally @alray?
If I know I can revive the IMEI etc. I'll be happy to go ahead and pay to S-OFF
Thanks in advance
You need a kernel to match your firmware. If you're on 7.19.401.2, then you need 7.19.401.2 kernel. I can give you boot.img, but I don't have the whole zip, with modules. Then again, if your phone boots fine, maybe boot.img will help. I'd [email protected] to confirm my thoughts though. He's much more into this than I am
