Force close SMS after upgrade

HI
I purchased a LG Opt 2x P990 today and did a ICS stock upgrade and now my SMS/MMS force closing all the time. Cant even start
the app.
What should i do?

By your post I think you are not rooted.....just try a factory reset and try again

Reodex any custom Rom (Speed-improvement)

Hey guys
I was interested in reodexing for example cm 10.1 for our device, so i searched and found the "odex me" app from Modaco forum. Its developed for galaxy s2 but on my optimus 2x i used it already and it was included in some Roms. I installed it on my optimus 4x right now, running cm10.1 and it worked perfect, and i think there is a performence improvement But i dont know if there come some issues. I will test my odexed Rom now for a while and will report later.

Install it like a normal app
start it
you must give root permissions
the app will do the rest
to be proof look at system/app and you will find odex files
I never got a bootloop it worked good.
Try it yourself and report back, maybe its a perfect way to keep cm 10 fast with many roms installed

ok thanks but. I have a odexed stock rom. locked bootloader no custom recovery installed. just rooted. will.it work too ?

Search for Xposed TweakBox, it has an option to enable it.

it doesn't matter it's odexed.
you can manually replace framework.res file and set proper permissions using most root browser for example.

[LAUNCHER] LG Optimus G2 Launcher with Knock feature

Hey people ! I found this amazing launcher yesterday ans I just wanted to be sure that you'll try it !!!
It is amazingly fast and smooth and it has all the basic features of LG Home including the transitions and the customizable drawer.
Double tap on the launcher will lock your device but if your phone is locked it won't be waken up by double tap.

I wiped cache, flashed it, but the launcher doesnt appear.
I use a stock rom.

What version of stock?
tested only on JB 4.1 and above, aint sure if it'll work on ICS

It works guys on zaiben and on stock rom you must!!!!!!! First delete with es explorer the launcher tha comes with stock and zaiber rom and the lgm g2 to launcher its has two lg homes apk it doesnt delete the old lg home apk thats the problem knock on doesnt work but the launcher is great i love it its better than stock remember delete lg home apk before you flash and for emengercy if it doesnt work make backup o0f old lg home and install a kauncher from google play like go launcher

Nice it works in stock v20b but in the folder the words doesnt show correctly

The double tap can only lock your device. It won't wake it up unless you use the new Iodak v9

For me tap to lock also is not working maybe because I use OP kernel or that isn't matter?

No I'm not joking. It's only a beta (or maybe alpha) but Iodak released a new version of its kernel few days ago.

No kernel doesn't have anything to deal with this feature :/

The launcher works without theme apk file. If I push the teme apk to system/app the launcher doesn't start (FC).

It doesn't make my device to sleep if double tap... I am on RC6, default kernel
Using tapatalk with LG 4X HD, Samsung ACE2, LG L7II

double tap works for me on latest miui but only to turn of phone to sleep

apparently this launcher and it's keyboard work flawlessly on every custom ROM except stock ROM and stock ROM based custom ROM. lol

flashed it with cwm but it didn't work

I assume you are using stock ROM. Because I flashed this launcher on any CM based ROM without problem (except lockscreen setting, of course)
Have you tried to install it manually?

works on stock but the developer didnt make it for lg optimus 4x to delete the old lg home apk and replace it with the new it universal for all android phoes not only lg series you will have to lg homes just delete that come with the phone after flash it

After upgrading to the newest CM11 nightly and gapps , my profile picture from the quick settings has disappeared, it only shows he default pic. (This has happened before on CM10.2)
any way to fix this ?

Then it's a bug of official nightlies as on Vanir it works the way it's supposed to (even if the profile pick gets deleted on a new flash).
