Sense Notifications with Textra - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to use the productivity lock screen to display text notifications using Textra, or any other messaging app?
It seems like Sense notifications only work with Sense apps (or Gmail?)
Thanks!
Joel

Use Viper Rom and add Textra notifications to the tweaks app like I have. Works great!

[Q] No Privacy option in Hypersense Nova Settings?

I'm trying to disable the lock screen SMS preview, which I was able to do in other Sense ROMs by going in to Settings/Privacy, but there is no Privacy option in this ROM. Is there a way to do this in HyperSense Nova?
OT: the captchas on here are not legible at all

Yea that disables all SMS notifications. I ended up using SMS Popup but something more vanilla would be preferred. Maybe I can find a config file to edit somewhere...

Emoji keyboard in standard messaging app?

Hi all,
I've come from a SGS2 that was running an AOKP ROM which allowed you to enable the emoji keyboard in the messaging app settings. This is my first experience with sense and wanted to know if there were any sense based ROMs or even a mod that anyone was aware of for stock sense that would allow me to do the same?
My One is rooted and ideally I'd like to stick with the standard messaging app as I actually quite like it so I'm not looking to install a 3rd party app like GO SMS to get the emoji. I'm also really enjoying the experience by staying stock, everything just works and the battery life is ridiculously good! That being said, I'd be willing to make a backup and try a custom ROM.
My girlfriend likes to tell stories with emoji, I feel like I'm missing out without this!
Your comments are appreciated!
Cheers!
You Can Just Download "Emoji Keyboard" From The Playstore

Thanks but as per the OP this is not the solution I'm looking for.

SMS notifications in widgets

Hi. Loving my new One.. but am having an issue with SMS notifications not working in any of the widgets I try.
UCCW, zooper, DashClock etc all work as expected *except* for the SMS unread count.. Not sure if it's something I've misconfigured or its a known issue.. anyone else having a similar experience or can verify that theirs *is* working.
Thanks

Does some kind person want to install Dashclock or UCCW and let me know if SMS notifications work for them or not please ?

[REQ] Disable emoticons in text messaging

So I'm not a huge fan of the cartoony emoticons in the HTC text messaging app, and would prefer not to install a 3rd party one (even though Textra *is* pretty great)
Any chance someone could make a mod or xposed module to disable these cartoons and use regular text based :^)
Cheers :good:
Possibly yes
I hope so..
Yes.. Please haha

CM/AOKP Mms.apk?

Hey all,
Anyone get a CM/AOKP Mms.apk working on their Droid Ultra/Maxx? I've tried using one posted in the MotoX forum, but it FCs when trying to type a contact name. Any ideas?
Hey I was wondering the same thing but I can see a difference. What is diff between the two screenshots would be a great help.

Search 88sms on the Play Store, it's essentially the same thing.

Obviously..im retarded... because I can't get this damn thing to do what its supposed to do LOL.
I open the app.. i click the center and select 8sms and click 'Change'..then i select 'Default Icons' and select 'Messaging'.
the app then brings me back to the app selection screen.. and I do it all over again. I seem to be stuck in an endless loop. What am i doing wrong? LOL
I'll post instructions tomorrow when I wake up sir.

This is definitely a step in the right direction. But even with 8ms and changing the icon, we lose the unread count on the icon.
I've tried searching for some type of xposed framework mod to just darken the stock messaging app but alas.. Nothing.

I was able to pull the mms.apk from an eclipse rom rom the Razr HD. its inverted..and has a lot of extra features. However..the app crashes if you remove or rename the stock messaging app. so what I did was leave the stock messaging app and turn off all notifications and simply hide it with Nova. Now i have the darkened inverted goodness i want with full functionality.
edit: nevermind. it works..but its receiving messages twice for some reason. Fail.
Can someone please post the stock email apk thanks!

I can... is it at all possible to invert the system apps and just do a simple drop and replace? like people, dialer, mms, calender, email
I wonder if this couldn't be implemented into GravityBox or some type of xposed framework?

here they are...couldn't edit my previous post. let me know what else you might need. there is also a system dump somewhere floating around on the forum.

I thought the same thing...but I haven't suggested it..espec because there are so many roms that GB supports
The problem is the stock system is odex like most stock systems are and themed apps do not usually play nice with odex system. Most of the times a dev will put out a deoxed rom or there is a way to deoxed the entire system, What is always interesting about Moto is they have specific odex version of apps like Motoemail, MotoMms and others that make simply dropping in themed apps problematic. I hope this answers your question. I am working on a theme for the Mini right now that takes out the green and replaces with blue LOL I hate that green!

Well we kind of sort of have a working Safestrap for the MotoX..which in turn works for the Ultra/Maxx/Mini.. would it be possible to deodex the stock system and black it out? I love the functionality of Stock with the features of GravityBox... Sooo battery life and stability of stock is what I want pretty much
