Extreme battery drain

Battery doesn't last with me for a whole day with 3 hours and a half of screen usage
On cm7
Same with new jellybean rom unofficial CM10
What could be causing that??
Thanks in advance

none of these custom ROM are optimized for battery.. i have tried a couple of them..
you can give 'Easy battery saver' from google play a shot.. it is a good tool and can help you in optimizing the battery..
BTW what do you primarily use your phone for?

Not 5% for that short period of time.
Something is seriously wrong dude, download betterbatterystats and run it a bit and see what drains so much. Either your battery is bad or you have some app that drains a lot battery in background.
Can someone please guide me on how to use betterbatterystats?? I installed it but I don't know how to make it work :s

Go uninstall facebook.
it made my incredible S last like, 3 hours longer
and my nexus 7 battery life went from 3 days to 4 days
3.5 hours of screen on time is a lot, id say at almost lasting a whole day you're doing pretty well?

Anyone lowered dpi yet

Tried lowering dpi on two roms in numerous different ways.could someone give it a shot please?
Shame to waste the screen having everything to big!

I think it's hardcoded in the framework. See my post on the trickdroid thread. I could mod it to use the build.prop configuration but I just posted the info there and leave it to others who already have the device as I can't test it at the moment and time availability issues

The vibrate has disappeared..

I don't know what the hell happened but from like 2 hours my phone doesn't vibrate.. I've downloaded z-devicetest which said that the vibrate sensor works properly but when I receive a message my phone doesn't vibrate..
I have revolution rom (fixed apn) with prometheus kernel @828 MHz. (The cpu is everytime at 722 MHz)
Someone can help me?

Did you check if the soundprofile is on vibration?

The device has a built in perv detector . It has recognized that you have been using vibrate for cheap thrills and has switched off until you promise not to do it again . Mine does it too !!
But I have always the vibrate on and I receive like 15/20 sms per day... How can I turn it back to on?

Have you tried to do a cache wipe and if this doesn't work a completely wipe (install new rom and so on)?
Sent from my HTC Desire C using xda app-developers app
I tried with the data wipe, but it didn't work... I'll try with installing again this rom.
If it doesn't work what should I do?
Sent from my HTC Desire C using xda premium
Full wipe, revolution rom 3.5 installed but the vibration still not working... What can I do?

No one who can help me for this issue? I don't know what the hell I can do to resolve it..

Try flashing a stock boot image and see if it helps.

Nothing works... Maybe my "vibration hardware" (I don't know how to say it ) is ****ed?
The setting for vibrations can be found in the messaging app itself

Low brightness on Sense but nice on Car app? Bad ROM??

I have a problem with my HTC one stock firmware. The max manual brightness on the interface is very very low. Half that of a maximum Nexus. But when I open the Car app or Camera app it comes to life with a lot of light.
Is that a known issue with the stock sense ?

Need identification/diagnostic help. (Battery)

My GE HTC One has been having horrible battery life the last few days. Android System and Mediaserver have been slaughtering my battery within an hour and i want to know why. My possible thoughts are
Snapchat +Keepchat xposed extension (it saves all snaps to your internal mem)
Or settings issue?
Im exhausted and was hoping someone could give me advice to wake up to and try out tomorrow.
(BTW, its not partial wakelocks (caused by apps) because i got an xposed app that lets you disable wakelocks per app, and i knocked out any indecent wakelocks).
All help will be thanked!!!

about all I can suggest is that you wipe everything and flash the rom with stock kernel.
add apps one at a time and you should be able to work out what's using your battery.
I quit using snapchat and keepchat, it helped alot.

So ive been doing some reading, and apparently android 4.4.2 (across all devices) has a bug causing 100% cpu and battery to be diverted to the camera once an app has opened it. Google is aware, and working on a update. Should restore things to the way they were normally

Not all devices, just those where the camera uses a Qualcomm chipset, such as the Nexus 5.
Google releases software updates to the Nexus 5. They do not release updates to the HTC One, HTC does. Even for the GPE.
