Hey a little respect here.... I can understand that trying to restore to stock and it not going your way it can be stressful and frustrating.
When troubleshooting , you have to make sure you do everything to try and find the resolution
Im sorry bud, but when it comes to restoring to stock, we are a bit unlucky at the moment, some devices will go back, some wont.
Why do you want to go back to stock?
because i am trying to sell the phone i have tried the guide you have mentioned i have tried fastboot boot.img and recovery.img and relocking bootloader and then running the ruu and get a wrong version error i have tried changing from slim sense v1 to nameless and then unlocking bootloader and reflashing the boot & recovery.img and still not joy.
i have tried fastboot flashing the system.img but get that it is too large the ruu,s that i have used are RUU_GOLF_U_ICS_40A_HTC_Europe_2.00.401.2_Radio_10.11.98.09H_1.06.98.13M2_release_295101_signed

i got this phone from phones4u my hboot is 128.0000 and my radio is 1.06.98.13M2
error 130 model id error
ok so tried installing recovery.img worked
using nameless rom v7
removed supersu
relocked bootloader following fkofilee,s guide and get error 130 model id error from both ruu files

They will, they mostly wont check ha, my advice to you is (After having the same problem) Install a Custom Rom That Isnt Like Nameless Or Has A Custom boot Animation That Appears To Obvious.
Yeah thats an idea but its not really solving my problem of getting it back to stock is it ?
anyway i was having a google and thought i may work putting the rom file on the sd card and renaming the zip to PL01IMG.zip well hboot read the file and checked it then gave me a model id error so is there anyway i can change the model id in to ruu zip to match the phone ?

If the cid doesn't match it won't let you do it and there's no way of changing it. There is another way tho you could extract the Rom.zip from the ruu get the system and boot img and use the android kitchen to build it into a flashable zip then use cwm to flash back to stock then just flash back the stock recovery.

Hi,
i tried to flash the Google Play RUU from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43517424&postcount=358
- I'm S-Off
- CID is GOOGL001
I get the following message when entering "fastboot flash zip RUU-HTC_One_GE-2.14.1700.15.zip": FAILED (remote: 41 model id check fail)
Any ideas?
Thanks
Max
Ok, got ID. The RUU's Adnroid.txt says: modelid: PN0712000
Hence, is the RUU not compatible with a German HTC One?

You should just have to add your MID to the android.txt file in the zip.
You could also change your MID if you really wanted:

I am not sure because it is a full RUU with all stock GE images.
I would think it is ok becasue you are s-off, but since it contains all the stock partitions I would ask in the main thread of:

Edit (18/08/2014): Modded 2.22401.5 Hboots added in attachments (both versions, removed red text only & with modded with fake S-ON & "LOCKED" banner, MD5 also added)

Edit (17/07/2014): Corrected mistake in Hboots of 1.54.401.10 as per this post and attached new ZIPs, deleted old ones.
Edit (17/07/2014)-2: 2.12.401.3 hboot without red text and fake s-on here by @starbase64.
Edit (07/07/2014): 2.12.401.3 modified Hboot can be found here by @Ambious & here by @starbase64.
As per the title, I modified the Hboot of 1.54.401.10 to remove the red text warning and include fake "LOCKED" & "S-ON" banners.
I take no responsibility, both worked fine on my HTC__001 m8. Proceed at you own risk.
If you do not know how to flash an Hboot, then you should NOT.
Thanks to this guide & inspiration from @santod040 here.
Edit: As requested, added another Hboot with only the red text removed.
Can be flashed on the CID numbers listed in the "android-info.txt":

How to flash:
Directly in the phone through Hboot:
1. Rename the zip to 0P6BIMG.zip & copy it to you SD Card (the removable storage).
2. Reboot to hboot wait, then select to execute an it will update..
3. After updating, rename or delete the 0P6BIMG.zip from you SD so you don't get prompted to update again.
or
Using a PC & ADB/Fastboot:
1. Put the zip file in your fastboot/adb directory on your PC.
2. If your phone is one, use the command "adb reboot oem-78" or if your in fastboot already, use "fastboot oem rebootRUU"
3. After any of the above commands, your phone will enter the an OEM fastboot mode with an HTC logo on the screen.
4. Flash the zip using the command: "fastboot flash zip filename.zip". (filename.zip to be replaced with the name of the zip your flashing)
5. Reboot using the command: "fastboot reboot"
•Enter the following commands from terminal/command prompt in the fastboot directory, one at a time:
•fastboot oem rebootRUU (this puts the device in RUU mode)
•fastboot flash zip filename_hboot.zip (this flashes the modified hboot zip file)

Its your phone, you can do what you want, but I don't recommend flashing an Hboot from an incompatible CID. You don't know what might happen.

This is not flashable via recovery.
You should do:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip thezipfrom1stpost
fastboot reboot-bootloader
and check of red text disappeared

Little request: as you can brick your phones very easily with this files, could you be so kind and add md5 checksum of the files to first post?
This can prevent people for bad downloads!

Here you have philz touch recovery ported from YUREKA . Its full working and I prefer this one instead to CWM, because it´s more modded.
Put the zip in the root of your microsd, boot into bootloader and Update will automatically start

EDIT : Attached new , fresh compiled Recovery + my device_tree, used for compiling Philz recovery

Is the board name "msm8916" the sufficient compatibility factor to apply this corectly?
(CPU-Z says my board name is msm8916, however
There is nowhere in the CPU-Z reports about "A11UL" - but HBOOT reports it.)

Is this instruction referring to CWM already installed? (I don't have it yet.)
How to evoke bootloader afterall? When pressed volume down & Power then HBOOT starts but unfortunatelly it reports:
"CID incorrect"
The zip file has been placed in the root of the SD card - as you suggested. What is wrong?

You probably mean the file android-info.txt with the content:
Code:
modelid: 0PCV20000
cidnum: HTC__001
cidnum: HTC__031
cidnum: HTC__102
cidnum: HTC__Y13
cidnum: HTC__032

cidnum: HTC__A07
cidnum: HTC__002
mainver: 1.51.401.1

hbootpreupdate:13
What to write in? How to find CID of my phone? It is apparently msm8916 as (CPU-Z reports) and "A11UL" (as HBOOT says so), besides TheDreamer kernel works on it.
I've got it from T-Mobile in the European Union country. Where to get CID from within this phone?
or just unzip the file and using fastboot flash it to your phone, which is how I did it. Works a treat.
Burtrum, hope the compatibility's proven sufficently to rely on this version of recovery as working well with my phone after using the "brut force" you suggesting
do you have to be rooted on the 64 BIT first? because i just unlocked my boot loader

Lol. If I do have an issue I'll use the same method to put CWM back on there. But that is the method I've used with my Incredible S, HOX and now this phone
It's ok, the "simple CID getter" told me what the CID was and this putted to android-info.txt yielded perfectly working recovery now
Thank you!
Flashed via fastboot, works a charm. Thank you soooo much!! Now we just need some x64 roms! :0)
is anyone able to make a 64bit back up.
im stuck in limbo at the moment with my fone its unlocked rooted and has this recovery on it but no OS due to a mistake i made .
Maybe this Recovery would work well with yet-unexisting modded 64bit ROMs updates.
However HTC has just released update of its stock 64bit ROM (which is reported to work smoother than previous one) and this Recovery doesen't allow for doing the update.
So where to get the 64 bit STOCK recovery back from?
OR maybe you would propose any trick to overcome this obstacle without touching the PhilzTouchRecovery please?
(When manually chosen OTA_xxxxxx.zip it complains about not finding /system/build.prop )
Works great thank you, now all we need is some roms

Hello,
I don't know what that "Clone ROM to update.zip" is, but I can help you to simply extract system.ext4.tar. I don't know how to do it in Windows without Cygwin but if you use that program or Linux you can type:
Code:
tar -xvf system.ext4.tar
in a terminal and it will extract your whole system to the folder you are in. This is a very quick and easy way to obtain /system.

There is no RUU for this version yet (maybe never, who knows)
You'll have to achieve s-off and flash the 7.21.707.21 ruu or use custom roms
