Here you have philz touch recovery ported from YUREKA . Its full working and I prefer this one instead to CWM, because it´s more modded.
Put the zip in the root of your microsd, boot into bootloader and Update will automatically start

EDIT : Attached new , fresh compiled Recovery + my device_tree, used for compiling Philz recovery

Thanks for recovery, working perfect on my phone
Is the board name "msm8916" the sufficient compatibility factor to apply this corectly?
(CPU-Z says my board name is msm8916, however
There is nowhere in the CPU-Z reports about "A11UL" - but HBOOT reports it.)

Is this instruction referring to CWM already installed? (I don't have it yet.)
How to evoke bootloader afterall? When pressed volume down & Power then HBOOT starts but unfortunatelly it reports:
"CID incorrect"
The zip file has been placed in the root of the SD card - as you suggested. What is wrong?

It seems you have not an European 64Bit Desire. So you have to unzip first andy modify the android info to match your cid. Zip again & try then
Working, good job.

You probably mean the file android-info.txt with the content:
Code:
modelid: 0PCV20000
cidnum: HTC__001
cidnum: HTC__031
cidnum: HTC__102
cidnum: HTC__Y13
cidnum: HTC__032
cidnum: HTC__016
cidnum: HTC__M27
cidnum: HTC__A07
cidnum: HTC__002
mainver: 1.51.401.1
btype:1
aareport:1
DelCache:1
hbootpreupdate:13
What to write in? How to find CID of my phone? It is apparently msm8916 as (CPU-Z reports) and "A11UL" (as HBOOT says so), besides TheDreamer kernel works on it.
I've got it from T-Mobile in the European Union country. Where to get CID from within this phone?
or just unzip the file and using fastboot flash it to your phone, which is how I did it. Works a treat.
Burtrum, hope the compatibility's proven sufficently to rely on this version of recovery as working well with my phone after using the "brut force" you suggesting
do you have to be rooted on the 64 BIT first? because i just unlocked my boot loader

Lol. If I do have an issue I'll use the same method to put CWM back on there. But that is the method I've used with my Incredible S, HOX and now this phone
It's ok, the "simple CID getter" told me what the CID was and this putted to android-info.txt yielded perfectly working recovery now
Thank you!
Flashed via fastboot, works a charm. Thank you soooo much!! Now we just need some x64 roms! :0)
is anyone able to make a 64bit back up.
im stuck in limbo at the moment with my fone its unlocked rooted and has this recovery on it but no OS due to a mistake i made .
Maybe this Recovery would work well with yet-unexisting modded 64bit ROMs updates.
However HTC has just released update of its stock 64bit ROM (which is reported to work smoother than previous one) and this Recovery doesen't allow for doing the update.
So where to get the 64 bit STOCK recovery back from?
OR maybe you would propose any trick to overcome this obstacle without touching the PhilzTouchRecovery please?
(When manually chosen OTA_xxxxxx.zip it complains about not finding /system/build.prop )
Works great thank you, now all we need is some roms

Hello,
I don't know what that "Clone ROM to update.zip" is, but I can help you to simply extract system.ext4.tar. I don't know how to do it in Windows without Cygwin but if you use that program or Linux you can type:
Code:
tar -xvf system.ext4.tar
in a terminal and it will extract your whole system to the folder you are in. This is a very quick and easy way to obtain /system.

This tutorial will help you downgrade back to software version '1.22.605.0' this software version is based on the shipped ROM before the OTA.
1) download: http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Inc...dio_1.00.03.04.06_release_161493_NoDriver.exe
2)Run the RUU.
NOTE: you do not need your device to extract the ROM.zip from the RUU (Radio Update Utility)

A. after step number 2 you will see an image like this:
3) now go to your start menu and click on RUN in the textfield type %temp% and click ok. "you should see"
4) search threw all the folders that start off something like this {D3D2296B-5E22-46DB-BEF4-D7235D4BB485} inside this folder will be another folder with many stuff inside SCROLL DOWN till you see the ROM.zip
5) just drag and drop the ROM.zip onto your desktop like so:
6) renmae the rom.zip to PB31IMG.zip place it on the root of your SDCARD and boot into your hboot (power off the device then while holding the volume down + power will boot you into hboot)
7) the device will load the PB31IMG.zip and tell you if you want to update just volume up for yes, and when prompted to reboot just volume up for yes on your device and your DONE!!!
Hope this helps anyone...!!

Thanks. Worked perfectly.
When I'm in the hboot menu the phone is saying that there is either no image or its the wrong image. What gives?
You probaly renamed it as

Nope. I know better than that.
So are devs working on rooting pre-OTA, OTA, or both (meaning whichever works best)?
EDIT: I'm just wondering if that's why we have this instruction set posted. I guess if pre-OTA is rooted everyone will want to downgrade.
I don't understand the point of this, although it may be due to the fact I'm a android noob. I went into the recovery menu (I had already applied the OTA update) and selected "clear storage". That wiped my phone and sent me back to pre OTA state. I'm pretty sure of this because the next time I turned on my phone It started bugging me about an exchange update. What's the point of going through this complicated procedure?

Some of us are seeing the 1x for network speed a lot more, or for the first time after the update. This would revert us back to not seeing 1x.
But why do all of this when clear storage does the same thing with less hassle

Definitely not. If you want to go to pre-OTA you need to follow this method.
If clear storage got me to pre-OTA i wouldn't still be fighting with this.
Seriously does anyone have any insight into why the heck this isn't working for me?
It's saying:

False. HBOOT .77 and .79 are 'inter-flashable'. It goes both ways.
Well both ROM.zip have different Version details so i suspect that Downgrading from 0.79 to 0.77 SPL is Possible

INTRODUCTION
As I promised in my last guide, I have played around with the RUUs in an attempt to bypass the "Model ID Incorrect" error, and have successfully installed the Optus 2.3.3 RUU on my Bell IS!
WHAT IS REQUIRED?
-a S-OFF'ed IS (doesn't need to be radio S-OFF'ed)
- That's it! A goldcard MAY also be required(it wasn't for me, but people are reporting they still get CID errors).
INSTRUCTIONS
Follow this guide until the 4th bullet under "How to install the Gingerbread update if you're S-OFF" but copy the rom.zip to your Desktop instead of your phone.
Extract rom.zip into your Desktop and open the new "rom" folder
First of all, you should now see 12 files in this folder. Delete the file "hboot_1.13.0000_CRC_8a731c6e_0401.img"... (This is mandatory! You MUST delete this file for the update to succeed! You may flash it on after installing the RUU if you wish, but you will lose S-OFF if you do not have radio S-OFF.)
Now open "android-info.txt" in wordpad or another similar text editor... The use of notepad is discouraged.
Now this is where the magic happens.
Change the line "modelid: PG3213000" to "modelid: PG3212000" (This will fix the "Model ID Incorrect" error)
[Optional] If you would like to flash the RUU without using a gold card then:
Add the following lines after "cidnum: OPTUS001":
cidnum: HTC__622
cidnum: HTC__038
cidnum: HTC__001
cidnum: HTC__044
cidnum: 11111111
Click to collapse
Click to collapse
Now click "File" -> "Save".
Now Select all the files in the rom folder(Ctrl + A), right click on one of the file and select "Send to" -> "Compressed (zipped) folder" and rename the folder to PG32IMG.zip.
Return to this guide and follow the rest of the bullets under "How to install the Gingerbread update if you're S-OFF"
Enjoy your gingerbread RUU
Excellent tutorial, but would you help me with another issue?
I am running CyanogenMod 7 (2.3.4) on my Incredible S and I can't make calls because I can't hear or speak anything.
Now, I did that change to the script and I got past Model ID issues, but now it is saying my CID is incorrect??

Did you add the lines:
cidnum: HTC__622
cidnum: HTC__038
cidnum: HTC__001
cidnum: HTC__044
cidnum: 11111111
a better way
this way works with every BRANDED IS (including canadian bell vr)
after using alpharevx to achieve s-off
u will want to install recovery next (just like any other tutorial tells you), but branded IS will always get a CID-incorrect
inorder to fix this, create a goldcard by following this link
wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Howto:_Create_a_Goldcard
except when you are on step 3, use this command instead
cat /sys/class/mmc_host/mmc2/mmc2:*/cid
USING MMC1 or MMC0 will never work!!!
using your goldcard, you will bypass all the cid incorrect problems
then you can use your gold card to flash recovery / radio
cheers

Uploaded to my sd card
Rebooted my phone in the bootloader...
But I get "CID incorrect"
What could I be doing wrong?
Then I checked XDA and found how to get my CID this is what I got:

This method will only work if you have s-off, not s-on. You need to run AlphaRevX to gain s-off and then you can flash a new ROM.
Hi sorry for the confusion, I did S-OFF my device with AlphaRevX and installed CMW... I just copied and old txt file with the word S-ON on it.
Any ideas? By the way, what does CID stand for?
Excellent tutorial
This is beyond fantastic. I have had my phone in Hboot-Fastboot with a boot loop for 4 days and counting. It was so bad to the point where my GF was almost ready to buy me a new Sensation 4G off kijiji!
Regardless this is great news, I will try it out the minute I am home from work.
FINGERS CROSSED!
-----UPDATE-----
I followed the instructions front to back. Archived all of the ROM contects, made deletion of Hboot file in rom. Changed cid numbers. Renamed the archive as PG32IMG.zip after formatting my SD card. Went to hboot on my DincS, and it said image not found. Found it odd since it worked yesterday when I used a differend PG32IMG batch, it failed but it made it past the reading cycle before the update.
Any thoughts?
Hi guys
I really need your help here. Please
I've been able to:
S-Off using alpharevx.
Install CWM.
Root my device.
And even flash it with a Saskatel Froyo ROM.
I downloaded the OPTUS, Vigin and Europe ROMS, and every time tried flashing I get.
Model ID incorrect.
Then I found this thread

Explaining this issue. I
unziped the files,
removed the booter file,
modified android.txt and added the lines described.
However, when I try flashing the ROM, I get a CID incorrect!!!!!!!!!
I really want to get GB, how do I overcome this?
@aresguerrero, is it really needed to double post?
Just loaded all files as described in tutorial. I am getting CID incorrect.
Just to clarify my Dincs is stuck in a bootloop. I have no backups, no custom firmware.

Well here is the problem. I am stuck in a boot loop. Even though the RUU.exe says that the update has installed and my android is ready to use, I am still in a bootloop.
Yes this is awesome that the phone updated for once. PROBLEM> NO S-OFF and BOOTLOOP is still going on...
I am sooooo stuck.
NOW, here's a question. Would my phone be ok to send in for service now that the S-OFF is gone and it's back to S-ON or is my warranty no good.
Can I make a goldcard even though my droid is unusable?
if not can I use my gf's Incredible S. its the same phone, and carrier.
I've used this ROM to get gingerbread 2.3.

It occurs to me that:
You can get an XTC clip and get rid of the S-ON (Hardware)

Hi,
I'm really stressing out right now because my HTC one is stuck in bootloader and i think i've tried everything.
Basically i thought it would be fun to root my phone (first time), i used the cyanogenmod installer. But i really did not like the looks of thing and actually wanted to go back to sense 6. Although i can't really remember what i actually did to remove CM, but i managed to. And now all i get is the fastboot/bootloader screen.
Adb won't recognize my phone, USB-debugging is turned off, S-ON, and bootloader is RELOCKED.
I have not flashed a recovery even though i did try to but failed.
I really have no clue what to do now.
Please is there still a solution or did i screw up my phone for good?
Thanks in advance, Giagi

first thing is first, get your bootloader unlocked again, you cant do anything to fix your phone before you do that, and that is why the recovery failed to install, once that is done, download and install TWRP recovery 2.6.3.3 from here: http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7 it has the best success rate, and flash it.
Fastboot commands are for when you are in the bootloader, ADB is only for when you are in recovery and in a ROM.
Once all that is done you will be able to push and flash any custom ROM.
ps, put USB debugging out of your mind, it has nothing to do with what you are trying to do.
Thanks for your respond. But as far as i can tell i either need to enable USB-debugging in order to unlock bootloader, or i need to do it via htcdev for which i need adb to recognize my phone. Or did i miss anything?
I did not use the htcdev method the first time so i do not have a token.

Do you have your USB drivers installed on your computer, can you post a screen shot of your device manager whilst your phone is plugged into the PC ?
USB debugging is only for when you are booted into a ROM, and as you don't have a working rom on your phone, it doesn't apply.
Are you S-OFF ?
If not then you will have to goto HTC Dev and follow their instructions on how to unlock your bootloader
Put your phone in bootloader mode, plug it into the PC, it will then say fastboot USB, not ADB USB, ie fastboot commands not ADB commands.
post your fastboot getvar all please.

It doesn't work because you installed CWM, I said install TWRP recovery 2.6.3.3, most custom rom's require that recovery, it should also mention that in the original thread of the rom you flashed.

It doesn't work because you installed CWM, I said install TWRP recovery 2.6.3.3, most custom rom's require that recovery, it should also mention that in the original thread of the rom you flashed.

yup 401 is your correct version for your CID, the strange thing is, you can only flash firmware if you are s-off, or if you had a lower firmware first.
this is your correct stock reset file, but I wouldn't flash it myself as your firmware doesn't match anymore: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_3-62-401-1-zip/
Stock ROM version for these types:
modelid: PN0710000
cid: HTC__001, HTC__E11
HTC__102, HTC__203
HTC__405, HTC__Y13
HTC__304, HTC__032
HTC__A07, HTC__J15
HTC__016
im sorry but I don't have any experience with dev edition firmware and not sure which ruu's etc you can flash, maybe one of the other senior members can guide you from here.
But if I was to be up front with you, especially with you being s-on, I would say you were stuck with custom rom's only now, as you cant back flash or flash the correct firmware without s-off.

And this one?: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183023
I believe it's a custom ROM but i've not been able to get it to work.
Do you know of a way to revert back to the original OS? (preferable with S-On)

Ive refunded it back to you, I don't expect donations for helping people out, I don't know where that button came from below my user name and don't know how to get rid of it.
Hit the thanks button is perfectly enough.

Sorry, to bother you again, but it seems as if my problem is not completely resolved.
Every time i shut down my phone it goes into a bootloop, where it boots up, stay on for about 2 mins where it just works as normal, and then shuts down again. After which it reboots again and so on.
The first time this happened i did a factory reset and this seemed to work. But after i shut down my phone for a second time the problem appeared again. And i really don't want to reset it again.
Hello, I'm a noob!
So my HTC One internal storage and system was wiped through twrp.
Iv tried flashing Ruu.zip through fastboot, and iv tried adb sideload but nothing's working.
HTC m7_ul
Bootloader unlocked
S-on
hboot 1.56
Radio 4A.25.3263.21
Os-4.19.401.11
CID HTC_001
Modelid: PN0710000
I'm not very good at this, I just want my phone back to when I got.
I did root it with supersu but now everything is gone.
I can get into bootloader and recovery -twrp
Can you please help me, my HTC is unusable?
Step by step instructions would be appreciated.

Yes it will do, the ruu is no good for you, it's a lower version than what you already have on your phone, 4.19.401.9 where you have 401.11 you can't downgrade.
You will have to flash twrp recovery 2.6.3.3 and use the guru reset file linked below, put it on your internal storage and flash it from recovery, select wipe data, stock recovery and stock radio during the aroma installer
http://www.htc1guru.com/2013/10/guru-reset-3-62-401-1-stock-rom/

Yeah that site has problems with the downloads sometimes, check the file size and the md5 before trying to push it, you have to just keep trying to download it until you get all of it, it's a pain I know.

hey I want to update my htc one to 4.4 and get rid of twrp.
I´ve unlocked it via htcdev and installed twrp.
i have got s-on
hboot 1.54.0000
CID vodap120 (as far as i know this is still the orginal one)
can I just relock the phone or do i need stock recovery? (hop I´m useing the coreced terms here :/ )
if so can I follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545227.
I remeber that I had to download some drivers when I unlocked the phone and I dont think that they are still on my computer. could someone send me a link to them?
thanks
joachim (austria)
You don't want to lock the bootloader unless you plan to reflash an RUU. with it unlocked you will just need to reflash to the stock recovery and then do your update. Are you trying to run an ota to 4.4?
Here is a link to drivers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2232799

This tool might be easier to use and quicker for getting the required ADB & Fastboot tools. Here is what is required to receive an OTA update. And yes, you will need your stock recovery installed. However, since you are on a lower hboot, it might be more beneficial to S-OFF first before the 4.4 update. S-OFF gives you more options going forward.

I couldn't agree more. the ability to change CID and flash any available RUU while bootloader unlocked is a huge advantage if you like to be adventurous with your devices' software.
first of all thanks for the quick reply
so more detail:
right know I´m getting the information that there has been an update issue.
I´m running on 4.2.2 (the software number is 2.24.161.1(I dont know how important that is or what it actually is)
after clicking on software-updates he told me that I can download 3.63.161.6
yes I want to make an ota update
need to reflash to the stock recovery

how do I do that. I need a file for that am i right? Which is the right one for me?
after reflashing stock recovery do i need to do something else.

First, read this post about OTA Updates.
Next, you need to download two OTA files from this site. The 2.24.161.1 OTA and the 3.63.161.6 OTA will be used to update your phone.
After downloading the first (2.24 OTA) open up the zip and find the firmware.zip file. Open the firmware.zip and extract the recovery.img file from it. This file is your stock recovery. You flash it like you did your custom recovery by placing it in your ADB/Fastboot folder. Here are the steps:
In bootloader/FASTBOOT USB:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Relock your bootloader with this command in FASTBOOT USB: fastboot oem lock
You can follow the steps in this post on Manually Installing OTAs.
Please read everything at least twice. If you don't understand something then don't hesitate to ask!

much simpler way, as unlocking the bootloader deletes some files required to update, just leave twrp on your phone for the time being, and download this rom ive linked below, if your phone is currently booting up, then just plug it into the computer and move the zip file to your internal storage, then reboot into recovery and install it like you would do with any other rom, during the aroma installer, select wipe data, install stock recovery and install stock radio, upon reboot, you couldn't be anymore stock.
http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_2-24-161-1-zip/
guru reset stock rom 2.24.161.1 Vodafone for the following devices:
modelid: PN0710000
cidnum: VODAP001
cidnum: VODAP102
cidnum: VODAPE17
cidnum: VODAP405
cidnum: VODAP304
cidnum: VODAPD18
cidnum: VODAP120
cidnum: VODAP110
I´ll follow your guide majmoz
why should i relock bootloader if unlocked doesnt matter?
thank you Seanie280672 but this sounds more complicated to me
i cant download that 2.24.161.1 OTA
error server cannot send any data
now i can.
so lets get started
fuuu
my antivirus tells me that one file in there is a virus.
is this serious?
what shell i do?
