So I removed a lot of system apps that I do not have use for like for example the mobile hot spot app and circles widget. But there's a bunch of apps/services that I don't know what are used for so I was hoping someone here could make a list of what I can uninstall and or what I shouldn't. Which ever is most easier.

You usually dont want to remove services apks...always do nand backup before you start deleting system apks...that way you can go back to the working version...
You can use titanium back up, so you won't have to remove them. With Titanium, you can just freeze'em so they won't bother you... And it's more safe than completely removing them. If you freeze an app, and had a problem, you can always unfreeze them and you're back to a stable state.

I am a n00b, just wanted to know how I can keep the apps that I have if I want to change from CM 6 to Sapphire 1. When I rooted my phone and put on CM I lost all my apps including the Shazam that allowed unlimited songs. When I reinstalled from the market now I'm only limited to 5/month, which isn't a big deal but I would like to just keep all 'my' data like #'s and photos.
Thx
Titanium backup.free version will do.backup everything before you flash.after you flash, redownload it & restore your apps.awesome app

So, there isn't a feature in the SYNC software that does a device backup of the apps/contact lists/settings?
Google will sync your contacts back when you sign in. I've seen some apps come back but never any paid ones. Titanium will restore app & data back. Manually with the free , automatic with donate version. It also lets you freeze apps which hides them rather than removing them.

Hi everyone I want to remove the default phone and internet app from my phone. I know how to remove others by just deleting the apk in system/app like the gallery and FM radio, but the phone app is different you get force closes.
I'm using dialler one and opera instead but the default ones still pop up sometimes and because I've changed my dpi to 192 the phone app looks crap and annoying.
Can someone help with this please I did a search and couldn't find anything but to be honest the search in the xda app is below par.

Hi, i use Titanium Backup for this. It can backup, freeze and uninstall any app.
First i freeze system apps i do not like, so they are still there are can not be used by user or system. If there is no side effect after using mobile and reboot i uninstall app.
Hope this helps - Cheers
You need to be rooted to remove system apps.
Yeah thanks I am rooted used titanium never even thought of trying that have done the phone app but still unsure on the android browser.

I'm having a hard time understanding you. If you don't want the apps running, root and remove/freeze them.
As LeJay said, root your device and remove the apps from /system/app/ or freeze (kind of disabling it) them with an app like Titanium Backup.
Also certain apps are required by the LG framework and can't be removed or frozen. They remain in memory and come back after you kill them. There are threads to be found about which app you can remove /freeze and which not.
there is lots of taskkiller software they are killing programs running at background and must of have whitelist feature. but main problem is after autokilling 90percent of software auto launch again. I am using rocket rom. Is there any way to prevent auto launch on my rom or at any others rom?

Thats the way android works
But they dont actually drain your battery
You could try freezing them apps using titanium backup I think.
Respect!
i know freezing but i will use them when necessary during day. There is lots of custom rom on android. I think this should not impossible

if you are talking about the startup items.. use something like autostarts which can effectively manage them
Using titanium, I keep freezing the stick messaging app because I prefer, and use textra. But somehow it keeps getting defrosted. Anyone know where this would be happening? I have a bunch of other things frozen, but none of them defrost on their own. It's happened numerous times, I can't figure it out.

I'm not entirely sure how it works, but I recently learned it doesn't hide whatever you're freezing from the OS completely... if you go into the play store for the app it will have an "enable" button. So I'm assuming it just does whatever the system does when you go to about apps and disable them from there.
I would just hide it from your launcher. It is needed for any messaging app to function properly, so tibu won't freeze it
