Hello,
i just got an i9070 from a friend of mine, because it shows only a colored Screen at the start and then it boots to recovery Mode. When you are there, i get only this message:
"failed to mount /data
your storage not prepared yet, please use UI menu for format and reboot actions.
"can't access to '/system/csc//system/'
Ok, just get to Download Mode and flash originally Austrian 2.3.6 Firmware. After thousands of Fails with Odin 1.85 and 3.04 it shows me a 'Pass' and i smile, but it boots only again in Recovery Mode and shows the same error above. I tried it several times, but it doesn't work for me.
Sometimes when Odin Failes, it says that there is no Pit Partition.
So i tried to flash GB 2.3.6 from this Link h**://techotv.com/how-to-downgrade-jellybean-to-gingerbread-on-galaxy-s-advance/ with Pit, CSC and PDA files. After a thousands of Fails, odin says again pass, but the result is the same, only recovery boot with the same error.
So, i don't know how to go on, somebodys says i should flash CWM and should wipe and format with it, but i can't install CWM, because in recovery Mode i can't choose something from external SD.
I hope somebody got an big advice!!
Thank you
P.s. sorry for my bad english, i'm german

while flashing, did you turn off all Kies program on your pc?..
check it out first, if you install samsung kies on your pc..
redownload all Odin and official firmware, you might have corrupted files.. just double check..
Tried Odin from different sources, kies isn't active while flashing, every data was downloaded twice,
but also the same failure
Send me the device!
Jokes apart, flash some custom rom on the device and check if it boots.!
I do not respond to tech support via PM
wrote at first post that i treied this several times!

Some user told that he fixed it. I think by using downgrade to GB. Or try flasing JB.

no idea?
Please Help me . My I9070 was stuck at the logo. I tried flashing Stock JB and GB using Odin.
But it doesn't work. I cannot access to Recovery mode. Only download mode is accessible.
I don't have bootloader file to flash in Odin.

Bricked Galaxy Advance.
My Situation:
Downloading mode: Yes it is working, ODIN does not recognizes the phone (Mass Storage Not Working).
Recovery Mode: No. (Cant not even see the Samsung Stock Recovery Mode: when trying to boot into the recovery a blank screen appears)
What i have done to try fix the problem:
Flashing a JB Kernel with Universal kernel flash tool: ERROR: Unsupported device GT-I9070
NOTE: I've tried changing ports, using different cables, rein-stall SAMSUNG Drivers, and all other common solutions.
Now I need an expert OR experienced Developer to help me sort the problem. Your Help Will Be much appreciated

You can boot in system? If yes, download CoCore 6.8, unpack it and flash kernel.bin.md5 with Universal kernel flash tool. Before that copy some ROM to your external SD card, and after flashing CoCore boot to recovery and install that ROM.
You do not have stock recovery because you have custom one - from CM.

Just do what I said, use CoCore 6.8. And you need to unpack it, UKF can't flash zip. You need to unpack it and use kernel.bin.md5. If you can't copy file from PC, use some ZIP extractor on your phone - there are some on Play store, just search ZIP.

What is written in your About phone? Maybe you can ask Frapeti to add suppert, or to tell you what to change in build.prop to make your phone usable with UKF. CM changed it, and maybe UKF not recognising phone because of that. But build.prop must have permissions 644, otherwise it will get you a bootloop... When you edit it, you might change permission with save.

I installed cocore 6.8 cwm on my friend's phone and he flashed a custom Rom and now it isn't booting. He didn't take a Nandroid backup. He says that when tried to flash the experia Rom which worked previously it is getting stuck forever. The same happened when he tried to wipe system data in advanced settings. What should I do now?

I wonder if you could tell me where to download the stock firmware. I'd prefer the official Samsung link.
Also it's there a method that doesn't involve Odin?
Like. flashing the. cocore kernel directly?

First thing that come to my mind is that you instaled GB ROM, and your friend have JB kernel (CoCore 6.8). Post link of ROM you instaled, to see if it was GB or JB ROM.
Second, do factory reset.
If you can go to recovery do this:
Connect phone to PC, mount SD card in CWM (or you use TWRP recovery, mount it there). Push some JB ROM in it, and install it.
I think flashing firmware with Odin is easier, beacuse for pushing zip from recovery you need adb shell, and knowledge of command to push it there. But you can put his SD card in your phone, and use it to transfer ROM too. Just tell him to use JB ROM, not GB.
And if that do not help, I suggest you use Odin method,. Download Firmware, flash it and then you can root it again and use CoCore and some custom ROM.
http://samsung-updates.com/ and http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ are trusted sites for Samsung firmwares.

you could use the device initialization feature inside the smart switch pc software to install official stock rom to your device. all you have to do is put the samsung device to donwload mode or more commonly known as odin mode. and connect device to the pc. go to device initialization on smart switch pc. then type in your device model number and serial number then the software will prompt to install usb drivers if not already installed then the software will automatically download official stock rom and flash it to your device. search you tube on more info on how to use it.
note: i couldn't find device initialization on latest version of smart switch software. you probably use the 4.1.17054.16 version.
I recently tried to root the phone using this tutorial on xda-developers http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1660419
However, after completing the procedure as explained the phone did not start automatically in normal mode, I can not even boot into recovery mode.

This is the first time I am working with a Samsung device and have no idea what is happening.
Ofcourse, it is for 2.3.6. Reinstall JB with Odin. And go to our Original development section, at the top will be Root fot JB thread, use that. Now you returned to GB aith that, but it did not set system like it should, so yoh cant boot and yoh cant go to recovery.

I think those are official from sammobile and samsung-updates. Both hotfile. Look on our generql section, some fw's are reuploaded to other hosts.

Just watch about P and non P versions. You must use the one for your version of phone.

If you are on JB and you used GB root method you softbricked. Because GB method uses kernel to inject su file. And you can't boot JB with GB kernel... That is your problem, so now do what I suggested. Flash stock JB firmware over and root with method I gave you.
Is it more clear now what you did? You said that you have rooted succesfull 3 differend phones? And you did not try to read how root is done? And you should know that GB kernel do not work on JB...
And I was thinking what you did before you got problem on Galaxy S Advance, by asking what you did before the problem.
Another important thing: DO NOT FLASH I9070 FIRMWARE ON I9070P PHONE, AND I9070P FIRMWARE ON I9070 PHONE - IT WILL HARDBRICK IT.
