Tiramislim v 2.0 - 4.0.4 final with devil kernel !! fast stable and very customise battery life is very good!
link for this rom - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1664049
sorry for bad english
Most stable 4.0.4 ROMs -> CM9 Stable (or Nightly), SlimICS, TiramiSlim, AOKP, RemICS, most stable JB -> I think it could be CM10....
My vote goes to SlimJB 2.1. Upgraded from SlimICS, and it's consistently fast and stable.
Slim JB for me but there are to many of these threads asking the same question

I think so
i'm using "[jOP40D] OFICIAL ANDROID 4.2 <C4> (JB) GALAXY NEXUS STOCK ROM by ELITEMOVIL" and it's looking good
Helly Bean
For Helly Bean (based on CM10.1) , it works well.
batery looks great and the UI is very smooth !
I'm using Pawitp's AOSP 4.2 preview.
In my opinion it's a stable ROM and perfect for daily use

are you sure that this is the right rom for me?
Hi,
The reference in 4.2.2 is CM10.1 of pawitp
The Helly bean of DerTeufel1980 is based on CM10.1 with more options or the Rom of franzyroy that offers a custom installation (slim or helly at the first + what you want in the choices it offers)
Personally, no worries about the rom of franzyroy with games ... and no worries at all !
here, if you want to try it --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1701231
I have to say that anything made by Aways is awesome. I'm currently on Xylon 2.1.1.
Expect bugs and glitches on 4.2 its still under development but if you want a more stable rom, go for 4.1

Are popular ROMs like Slim, Mackay, Devil, Fishears, CyanAosp, Supernexus2 all derivatives of Cyanogenmod? Have been using CM 10.1 nightlies for a month now, but my videos and games stutter. Wanted to know a good ROM for video rec/playback, games and good battery life. Thanks.
CM 10.1 latest nightly
Semaphore 2.9.15s with bigmem patch
CM GApps
Nova launcher
Not slim rom it is based on aosp.
You need to try all the roms and see which one suits you. ... I would suggest you to try mackay and alim roms

Supernexus 2 is also not based on CM. It's based on Google AOSP.
And Devil is a kernel, not a Rom.

Thanks for this. Am actually waiting for Faryaab's Supernexus 2 Build 4 which I believe is in the works. For now, CM 23-Mar nightly is working okay for me. Just want to see similar video recording quality as was in Sammy's Gingergbread before I rooted the phone and installed CM. Guess current Supernexus 2 Build 3 by Aways is still not upto the mark in video recording quality.
AFAIK, camera and video in all JB Custom Roms are with the same quality. So good luck, hopefully you can find a good cam & video in one of the custom JB Roms

Oh.. If all are the same quality, then good luck to me Maybe someone can port GB camera to JB. Another feature I miss is clicking still pix while recording video. Was good to record my little one's school play performances and taking pix simultaneously.
Yeah, i haven't seen this feature in a JB Rom (taking still pics while recording video).
Device: GT-i9000
Rom: JB 4.2.2 Unofficial SuperNexus 2 by Aways

Oh my God!!! Look at the changelog of the latest CM 10.1 nightly that will be hitting soon. It reads like an essay. http://10.1.cmxlog.com/?device=galaxysmtd
Guess I'll have a go with this one again. Cant wait.

slow or fast: it's subjective to user's own experience. you'll get gb like smoothness upto cm9. but you need to understand; our ace was never meant to run ics, jb or kitkat. for god's sake, look at the ram! but if you are desperate to taste jb or kk there is a trade off for speed. you can't have it both ways. still, these roms are pretty smooth. but it's upto you. Test yourself.
