So... i was in cm 10.1 and i didn't like it anymore and i decided to flash back stock...I wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache and i flashed back stock. The problem is when i try to turn on the phone i have bootloop(i mean it appears the samsung logo but nothing happens) and recovery is not working and even download mode is not working everytime. So please i need help or my mom will kill me(not really, but kind of)
Did you have any errors when flashing stock? Did you flashed the right firmware? What model of the mini 2 you have?
but the phone vibrates and lights go off? or what else?
yes the phone vibrates 3 times(like an error), sometimes it's not even booting anymore and download mode works ust if i threw out the battery and put back and after that it works(i don't know why) and i flashed the right firmware because i've flashed it in the past and i got it still in computer.I have S6500D and no errors at flashing (you mean in odin i think).
use this ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2227982) flash in PDA with odin 3, when the odin finish you do wipe data and factory reset
sorry from my English
Update: I tryed almost everything in this forum for my problem: I tryed rescue pda - FAIL at fat.bin, i tryed this but for me it's not working.

So I flashed back again the stock rom and of course i had bootloop so i try a lot of times to enter in recovery by removing battery and putting back in and trying to enter in recovery stock but nothing, so i tryed to flash recovery 6 and i tryed to enter in it with removing battery..... like mentioned and after a lot of trying BOOM it booted in recovery and i wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache and dalvik cache and flash stock again and it works. Now, i think i will leave the phone just like it was from factory . I had a lot of trouble because rooting, flashing customs and other things so i will not do that anymore...

Hey folks, yesterday i accidentally flashed a theme that didnt go well with my rom and now I am stuck on the bootscreen "Samsung Galaxy S" Logo....
anyways, my laptop recognizes the phone and I can also get into the download mode,
what are my options from here?
I need some kind of program like odin right?
- Also semi-flashing-noob here -
any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!
dont panic its no problem.
many of us get boot loops when flashing themes. do you have recovery mode ??
if so, try to flash the theme again, but before rebooting, wipe cache / dalvik cache and see if it boots then.
if not just do a factory reset. that should clear it up.
ODIN should be a last resort, sometimes it is not necessary to use.
thanks for the quick reply,
how do i get into recovery mode? the 3 button combo was volume up + home + power right?
cause i tried various combinations and could only get into the "Download mode"
yes volume up is recovery, volume down is download mode.
if recovery dont work, then you will need to use odin.
you will lose all your data so i hope you made a backup
there is a reset button under the back cover, in the middle of the camera and the speaker. this may fix your problem, but i have never tried it.
Hello
I bought today galaxy s
dirctly i went to install recovery to it to install any rom i want
i used this guide
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S:_Full_Update_Guide
but the problem is when i finished the 7th step
it made restart and after 5 secounds it make anther restart and never boots
what to do now to fix this problem
please help me
try to remove the battery for 2 minutes. now reinsert battery and switch it on with menu button and vol -. if you go in download mode you can flash with Odin
if all fails get a download jig from ebay for £1.50, forces into download mode when you plug it into the charger socket.
can you boot into recovery mode? (Volume up+Menu button+power)
if you can and have CWM, try to Wipe Data/Factory Reset. Also, from the main menu go into Mounts and Storage and format /system, /data, /datadata, /cache. Also, go into Advanced and wipe your Dalvik Cache
can you go into download mode? (Volume Down+menu button+power)
if so, you can go into download mode, and using heimdall or odin, you can flash to a stock firmware and kernel, and start again from scratch.
I had the same issue on my first attempt. Something to do with the different extensions used by stock Samsung & Cyanogenmod. As a previous post mentioned just remove battery, restart into recovery & flash again. make sure to clear cache & wipe system data etc.
Currently the phone can't boot normally or into recovery mode, it only boots in download mode.
I think I've tried to flash like 10 firmwares from sammobile.
The problem started because I was on the CM10.1 rom and I tried to flash a stock firmware so I can take the SIM-lock.
I think I forgot to clear cache and Dalvik cache from CWM before I flashed the firmware.
So, after I flashed the firmware, the phone bootloops at the Samsung boot animation, and if I try to turn on the phone with the VolumeUp+Down + Home + Power combination, it doesn't do anything. The battery charges, there's no hardware issue, and the phone is detected by Odin ( if it wasn't, then how could I flash the firmwares? ).
EDIT1: If I hold them a little longer I get that RamDump thing.
EDIT2: Looks like I don't get the thing mentioned in EDIT1 again.
Thanks in advance.

Vol up+down+home+power= no recovery. Do some research before asking! Just go to recovery wipe data.

Re: S6500D doesn't boot nor get in recovery mode
I think I was misunderstood.
Wasn't the stock recovery combination VolUp + VolDwn+Home+Power?
I'm talking here about GM2, not the original one, where I think it was Home+Power.
And, as I said in the OP, I can't get in stock R.M. or a custom one.
Yes, I missed that you have stock recovery. Because you can have CWM+Stock ROM.
Nowdays I'm DERP. Maybe because I have almost no free time.
I think I realized why the phone acts like this: I forgot to wipe data before flashing the new firmware.
So the question would become like this: Can be data wiped from the computer ( e.g. using Odin or something like that ) and if it can be done, how to do it?
EDIT: I've Googled it, looks like I can't. But I guess there are some firmwares that delete everything, am I right?
I don't wanna bump, but...
Help?

After I flashed CM10.1 I wiped data, but it looks like I forgot to wipe before I flashed the stock firmware.
BUMP BUMP

Hye guys ! I have a big problem...last night i flashed cm10.2 after until last night i had Gingerbread. So i followed the steps, except the one with formatting the sistem cause i read that i have to do that only if i flash another cyanogen mod rom. After the rom i flashed gapps, and then i did Wipe Data / Factory Reset, then Wipe Cache Partition and finally Advanced - Wipe Davlik Cache. After that i restart the phone and surprise...i have bootloop...its keep restarting after i see the samsung logo and the animation. Its working to go to download mode,si i flashed the stock rom again and the latest cwm.I tried again to go recovery mode and its saying...RAMDUMP MODE
Please,someone some ideas ? :good:
wipe data etc.. before flashing cm if you are using stock.
Please , search before posting ! It's been discussed a lot of times, enter download mode , don't agree with the terms(vol-) then press the recovery key combination really fast , that worked for me, then wipe data/factory reset and it'll work
If it's going to your "ramdump" mode, you're pressing the wrong keys to go to recovery. If I'm not wrong, the "ramdump" mode only appears when you press down Vol+, home and power keys.
Guys, thanks for help..i fixed the problem after searching very deep on the web.
I DID THIS : ---> download mode , i did not agree with the terms, after that until the phone to boot i pressed recovery buttons,i released the power-button once the phone was on
CoX26 : Your post helped me a little, but belive me that you told me there i did first and it didn't work,so this was not discussed, thats why i posted my solution if anyone will have this kind of RAM DUMP.
So remember guys, release the power button, that was the key for me :good:

Go in to DOWNLOAD MODE (Vol - + Home + Power)
Connect to PC
Download Stock Rom
Flash via Odin
Instal CWM
Wipe data
Wipe dalvik
Instal CM
Partition System
Instal Gapps
Reboot
Done
Hi guys, first time posting here, sorry if a question like this has already been asked but I've looked around and haven't managed to solve my problem yet.
So I have rooted my Samsung Galaxy Mini II (GT-S6500T) and used Odin 3.07 to install ClockworkMod 6.0.3.2 onto it; I then booted it into recovery mode and installed ZIP from SD card, selected CyanogenMod 10.2 ("cm-10.2-20131202-UNOFFICIAL-jenad.zip"), followed instructions etc. installed Google Apps and all that.
Now, when I selected to start up the phone again, it just gets stuck in the Cyanogenmod boot screen, the blue arrow just circles around on and on (I understand that it usually takes a long time but I don't think it's meant to take over half an hour... also, every now and then I notice it kind of makes a low vibrate sound?).
I've read that to fix it you can reboot it into recovery mode and reflash it but the problem is I can't even get into the recovery mode. If I force the phone off (e.g. by removing battery) and hold Vol Up + Vol Down + Home + Power to boot recovery mode, nothing happens. If I just hold Power it starts up and goes straight into boot sequence.
I do have a backup of my previous settings and all that saved - one saved on my external SD card and the same file saved on my computer, so if I can somehow load that back it would be great I guess.

I mentioned earlier I cannot enter recovery mode. When I hold the button combination to go into it, nothing happens.
Earlier I managed to get into download mode (Vol Down + Home + Power) and I reflashed a stock firmware, but now my phone is stuck in a boot loop, it just shows the Samsung screen and vibrates every now and then. I still cannot access recovery mode.
Managed to fix the problem but thanks for the help anyway. Followed one of the solutions here and removed everything, held power for 1 min, plugged my phone into the computer and managed to get into recovery mode. From there I did full wipe, wipe cache, wipe Dalvik cache, format /system (probably only necessary to do full wipe but I dunno), then restarted into download mode and used Odin to reflash stock rom, then reloaded recovery mode and reloaded my backup.
edit: My question now is, I'm not sure what I've done wrong in the process of installing Cyanogenmod to screw up this badly. Is it absolutely necessary to format /system before installing it? I did do full wipe, cache and Dalvik cache and mounted /system prior to rebooting and loading Cyanogenmod.
what i do > install rom > reboot > install google apps .. I had this problem aswell a while ago. what also can be the problem is when u don't format correctly..

Have You as well was unable to go into recovery mode and stuck on bootloop ? One thing I can do is to use Odin, tried to flash some stock firmware with no result. Still no acces to recovery and still Samsung logo loop. I searched, read many topics but nothing helped. Is there something except Riff Jig that could be done ? Thanks for response
-Flash stock rom via Odin
-Flash cwm via Odin
-Pull out battery
-Connect phone to pc (without battery)
-Wait until screen turns on
-Hold recovery combo keys until samsung logo shows (home+volup +voldown +power)
-put battery back quickly
-You should be in recovery now :wipe data, cache, dalvik cache
-Reboot.
I was in similar situation, if not identical. This worked for me. Good luck.
Edit: I didn't see you fixed it already. Ignore the post.
