How can I tether the phones wifi connection without using bluetooth is there an app that does this?
i believe that is not possible to do. pretty sure there are no apps for that.
Use this to tether your wifi connection to your laptop (if your laptop doesn't have a wifi card). This app tethers via usb cable, not wireless like anetshare and wifitether. (If you're trying to connect wirelessly to your phone to get the phone's wi-fi connection, then you're just weird)

The tab detects and connect to my WEP/WPA2 hotspot just fine, but there seems to be no internet connection. Any idea why?
Thanks.
PS: It seems my Asus Transformer has the same problem. Though this tablet works via Bluetooth.
I'm running the latest cm9 nightly, and I'd like to tether my touchpad to my nexus s using Bluetooth. I know I can use a WiFi hotspot, but Bluetooth tethering is way better for battery life on my phone.
I paired the devices, and the only configuration option for the connection is "Internet Connection Sharing". The devices connect just fine, the notification Bluetooth symbol is blue on both devices (indicating that they are connected), and the phone has the notification icon indicating that Bluetooth tethering is active.
The problem is, the touchpad always says it has no internet connection, and no apps have internet access.
When I end the Bluetooth connection, the Touchpad reboots.
Is it possible to do Bluetooth tethering with the touchpad, and if so, how do I do it?

I think I may have solved it. I had flashed a new kernel on my phone this morning that apparently didn't like my Bluetooth. I got in my car and the same thing happened with my head unit. It said connected, but nothing was working. I restored my nandroid and Bluetooth was working again in the car. I haven't had a chance to check the touchpad yet.

Hi guys i just wanna to ask anyone who own ps4 does your mi8 can be hotspot for your ps4 ? Because mine not working...
already change for 2.4 ghz to 5ghz but still not connected to ps4.. its can detect my hotspot but when connecting is always failed... Its very weird because my mi8 hotspot can be used on other smartphone or other laptop... when I'm using other phone as hotspot my ps4 can connect with no problem... The only solution i found now is using my portable hotspot device to become wifi extender to connect to my mi8 then to my ps4 like this [mi8 hotspot] connect to [wifi extender] then its connected to [ps4] ... Its a bit annoying to charge 2 device just for hotspot... I use my mi8 as a hotspot device because my old phone and other portable wifi hotspots device only support 3g.. already using other alternative like foxifi and pdanet still not working... Sorry for my bad English its not my main language...
Hi,
I can use the wireless tether while wireless charging, but not for all devices. Other phones can connect, but when I tried to get my car android head unit to connect, the connection is not stable. Even when it is connected, it says no Internet. I've tried other phones simultaneously, and the WiFi works. I assume that the tablet WiFi connection is not working properly. However, it can connect to my home WiFi and even work place WiFi properly. Does anyone have any ideas why it does not work well with the note 9? I have tried to forget network, modify password. It works like few seconds and stops working even though connected.
