Hello,
I'm new to this phone and I'm looking for some good stock-based 4.1.2 ROM.
As far I have tried those:

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And few more.
But I just can't find non-lagging one.
Every ROM I flash laggs just after boot. What happens?
Even scrolling laggs.
I have checked quadrant scores and it's mostly about 1800-2400. That's too low for such a phone.
Changing CPU governor doesn't help.
For example I've set it to pegasusq and it gave over 4000 score points (WOW),one minute later it gave 2300.
I really don't know what happens.
I have tried using Ultimate ROM and N8XT ROM with all my apps installed, but I even couldn't browse the internet. My old Xperia X10 wasn't even lagging like that. All the background processes closed immediately.
I launched the Titanium Backup to backup all my apps. Then I switched to browser. 25 sec. and it was closed. Titanium Backup closed, launcher too (TSF Shell)
So please, do You maybe know the reason of these laggs, or can You recommend some good ROM (Best if stock based, with multiwindow)

google is fun too!
depends on what you use your phone for, and it depends on if you are willing to deal with bugs for a while.
I would not use the gingerbread unless you have some experience flashing roms and kernals.
I am currently using Supernova2.3 with Suckerpunch #53 kernal, and I am using well under 50% battery every day even when I do alot of texting and use the phone as a tether for my laptop.
My advice is to download the AIO toolbox from the developer section, and then start flashing roms until you find one you like, then start flashing kernals until you find a combo that is right for you and your phone.
Please take the time to read the Dev and Q&A threads on each individual ROM you would be interested in using. I can recommend ROM's all day for you but that does not mean your experience will be the same as mine. YOU need to do YOUR own research and decide what you want to use. Reported for lock as these threads occur daily.
Please use the search feature.
On that note, thread closed.
Ok This idea came to me earlier today, sense 2.1 roms (Speedy ports) have a recently used apps bar in the notifications menu. Well I found a better use for it,
Instead of seeing the app you just closed why not display common everyday apps? e.g. phone, flashlight, facebook, twitter, camera. See that way you don't have to run around your UI to find what you want, It's simply a drag and drop away

The con is this.
Making the apks run in a list and then closing (background) constantly may effect you wanting to see your recently used apps (The one where you just long press home button and it displays) those apps the first 4 or so will be which ever default you have set up. any way I'm seeking some help with this I'm not new but nor am I marinated in sense feature modifying.
Any one interested?
also My current method an apk that opens and closes each app seems to cause issues (obviously) so I'm seeking help in doing the proper system edit to get this Modification up and running.

Hi
I have flashed CM10 recently with speedmod on my Note
however I found CM10 with speedmod was quite laggy so I flashed another kernel HydraCore v3 instead
the lag was gone, however i found that the ram usage is very high constantly and i couldn't see the ram usage of individual apps (thus unable to find out the cause of the memory problem)

also, there's another thing
since i have flashed CM10, i have noticed a crazy battery drain on my phone...
it's alright when the screen is off...however if I use it for messaging/internet, the battery could drop by a few% within 10 minutes, any clue of why this is happening?
thanks guys
known issue of hydra kernel,
you really should read threads that contain info on what you flash.....

i did try to search, but the threads are quite messy.....
any idea about the battery issue?
i might try to flash another kernel then....may be official cm10 kernel?
Battery issue I am not sure. Can be many things from unclean install to apps running beserk. Sorry.

Hello,
I'm looking for a rom and a kernel which are the best atm for the following criteria:
Smoothness
Stability
NO AOKP! (<== this criteria is only for the rom)
Very energy-saving
Flash-compatibility
No AOKP because i hate its bugs (SmoothRom isn't working fine for me, long clicking on the homescreen lets the screen rotate, i've downloaded it 4x times) and logo.
Atm I'm using this rom and franco kernel.
Sorry for my bad english.
:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
The best ROM and kernel are the ones that you try out for yourself and like the most. Read the threads, test drive the ones that interest you and form your own opinion. All in all a fairly easy process.

My Gosh. Doesn't anybody bother to even;
a. Do a search
b. Read the Rom Threads
c. Try out a couple of Rom's
Get ready.......
It's coming......
Wait just a second......

As I've been flashing different roms on my phone, I always wanted to get the best battery life. But if you've locked the frequency to a single one than there is no problem.
But what if your phone's CPU is set between two ranges like 300-1000 Mhz?
How will you know what's the current frequency of your phone?
SO I created this app to know my phone's current frequency. :angel:
It helps because if my phone is running on highest frequency than I need to kill apps and find out what app is eating my CPU and battery or probably flash another kernel.
And if its running on the lowest set frequency than its working just fine and its the best kernel, no need to flash another one.
This app supports Android version 4.0 and above. It shows a toast message as well as swipable notification. Give it a try maybe? Yeah? OKay.
Its available in the amazon app store (click my signature) and attached an apk file for the pros. :fingers-crossed:
Thanks
