As I've been flashing different roms on my phone, I always wanted to get the best battery life. But if you've locked the frequency to a single one than there is no problem.
But what if your phone's CPU is set between two ranges like 300-1000 Mhz?
How will you know what's the current frequency of your phone?
SO I created this app to know my phone's current frequency. :angel:
It helps because if my phone is running on highest frequency than I need to kill apps and find out what app is eating my CPU and battery or probably flash another kernel.
And if its running on the lowest set frequency than its working just fine and its the best kernel, no need to flash another one.
This app supports Android version 4.0 and above. It shows a toast message as well as swipable notification. Give it a try maybe? Yeah? OKay.
Its available in the amazon app store (click my signature) and attached an apk file for the pros. :fingers-crossed:
Thanks

But the mirror is the best part
Well i havent OC'ed it too extreme yet, so far at 3.55Ghz (stock is 2.66Ghz) and running Prime95 Stress test the cores only peak at 45C and usually remain around 33-40C
So far so good!

Great, i checked the "flatness" and its good to go
Can somebody please post some pictures of the Voltage Control settings. I don't know how to set it up. Will this improve the battery life if i use these settings-UV 200?
Like this? What do you not understand about it? It is quite straightforward.

I do not use it long enough yet to be sure about battery life.
Thank you for those pictures! So I will not change the 1000Mh (Limit clock to)? And I will change it to -200mV?
Ah. That's where you get mixed up.
These are two different things. (At least that is how I understand it)
"Limit clock to" is a method for underclocking. You can set it to what you want and limit the top clock speed the Tab will use. If you want to run as fast as possible, leave it at 1400.
The other settings are for undervolting.
This is where you set "minus xxx mV" for each possible clock speed.
My Tab works with the minimum voltage that the app allows, -200mV, at all speeds. You have to try and see if the same is true for yours, apparently there are differences between the individual machines.
I'm pressing the thanks button since Op didn't, and I've found your second post useful as well.
I don't know how to hit thanks. can you teach me how?
never mind this. i found it!
Guys,
Kindly show screenshots of your CPU Spy app.
Here's mine

Doesn't seem to sleep much
Build : 7.0.A.3.212
You're using ondemand governor, that's a reason.

Mine's still unrooted. Thats why.
Gotta go power saving mode?
I'm using ondemand and it sleeps much more than that.
Moreover, I switched for a while to msm-dvcs in the hopes that it would be better, but only got much worse battery life.

Stock, rooted, everything related to performance unchanged.
@OP and all affected: install Better Battery Stats, there's a free version for xda members in the forums. Let it run and do it's work for a couple days and then come back with a proper report on what's what. Posting a screenshot of an app showing time-spent-in-state of a not sleeping device is just...

Hello there
I've always heard great things about greenify and I finally decided to give it a shot. This is how I set it up for now:

Does that mean that these applications will not run in the background anymore and I'd only receive notifications from them, for instance, when I run them?
And one more thing:
What does this mean and do?
Thank you very much. If this is not the correct section and that Apps and Games is more appropriate, please let me know and I'll edit/delete this.

thats ok but i would not hibernate facebook ... i want to get messages or notification
i would asphalt moto hibernate too... and some others i dont need
Thank you for your reply, but AsphaltMoto and other games aren't actually running in the background, are they? I mean when I check under Settings > Apps > Running I only see a few applications which are basically system ones but I don't see the ones listed under "May slow down the device when.." so do I really have to hibernate them as well?
Hello,
I'm new to this phone and I'm looking for some good stock-based 4.1.2 ROM.
As far I have tried those:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And few more.
But I just can't find non-lagging one.
Every ROM I flash laggs just after boot. What happens?
Even scrolling laggs.
I have checked quadrant scores and it's mostly about 1800-2400. That's too low for such a phone.
Changing CPU governor doesn't help.
For example I've set it to pegasusq and it gave over 4000 score points (WOW),one minute later it gave 2300.
I really don't know what happens.
I have tried using Ultimate ROM and N8XT ROM with all my apps installed, but I even couldn't browse the internet. My old Xperia X10 wasn't even lagging like that. All the background processes closed immediately.
I launched the Titanium Backup to backup all my apps. Then I switched to browser. 25 sec. and it was closed. Titanium Backup closed, launcher too (TSF Shell)
So please, do You maybe know the reason of these laggs, or can You recommend some good ROM (Best if stock based, with multiwindow)
