new to HTC help updating - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just bought new HTC one but on boot screen it said it is for developer
and after that I found that device is rooted and there is no update option for OTA updates
is it normal or modified?
how can I OTA or manual update it to 4.2.2?

How can I revert it back to original?

Can you post hboot picture? Hold volume down and power buttons together until a screen appears with 'fastboot', 'recovery', etc.
Also, if you select recovery with the power button you will probably see a custom recovery installed..

Really.
It depends how 'original' you want it.. You can find out what CID you have and flash an RUU or you can just flash a 4.2.2 stock ROM like this one.

Can you use fastboot commands? If so, do:
Code:
fastboot getvar all
and copy it here.. Edit: (not your imei or serial no.)
If not, download CID Getter and tell us your CID at the top of the screen

Yep, though am I right in saying the radio on his hboot is an Asian radio? (4A.14.3250.13)
How would he return to stock? run the RUU for his region, then flash the O2 OTA zip from this page? I'm curious, as I've never used RUUs..

RUU fails

Hi,
I want to go back to the original Android 4.0 because the different roms I tried all show some problems like apps stuck and stuff. I saved the RUU to my laptop, one which I knew it worked. But when I tried to use it 5 mins ago it said BOOTLOADERVERSION ERROR (translated it to english, don't know if the error is right in English, could be something like Signature error) and that I have to get the right bootloader. I'm currently using AOKP's IceColdSandwich, which RUU do I need to get back to the stock Android?
HBOOT 2.02.0002
RADIO 3831.18.00.1_M
*RUU I used: RUU_VIVO_SENSE30_S_HTC_WWE_3.11.405.2_Radio_20.4805.30.0822U_3822.01.08.14_M_release_252414_signed

I have already relocked the bootloader. Just read that the RUU I tried to run is for a 2.01.0001 HBOOT and I now have HBOOT 2.02.0002, would that make any differences?
actually the issue is with ur RUU you can't downgrade your bootloader version...try running the ruu with matched bootloader version...

Do u see an application on your phone called superuser or superSu? Is it's rooted and running on custom Rom then it should tell you the name of the Rom under software number like mine showing Android Revolution HD .. also install one application from play store called root checker and check the root access on the phone. If an pop up comes asking superuser access grant or deny thru root checker app then it's rooted. Also if you can take the screen shot of the software info like I did would be helpful.
