Will maserati see 4.3? - Motorola Droid 4

Just curious

4.3... not likely
well, since the droid 4 community is not that crowded, i highly doubt that.
But maybe a developer would do early xmas surprise. :fingers-crossed:

If you're hoping for a stock OTA update to 4.3, I highly doubt that is going to happen. This phone has been out for a year and a half now. Pretty sure we're done seeing updates. Some 4.3 ROMs are a possibility if hashcode is willing and able to whip up a 4.3 kexec kernel for us. I'm pretty sure dhacker has said he is no longer supporting the Moto omap devices anymore so hashcode is probably our only hope.

I'd like to see it if he has the time to whip one up..... Does anyone know of any differences?

CM10 is officially launched, see Google+ CM circle.
Great News. A few doubts though
Lets consider LG releases the ICS update..
I noticed that google released new binary hardware drivers for galaxy nexus and nexus 7.
Does that mean the ICS drivers are not sufficient to run JellyBean???????
We will see...

I prefer the excellent custom roms here - so who needs LG (except their needed drivers).
Let's see, who's the first JB-Dev here... :laugh::laugh::laugh:
a big thanks to everyone already who is going to work on custom roms for our beloved device!

I don't want to complain but crazy dj is right. If we were officially supported we would get official nightlies.

We're something in between.
Other devices who are not officially supported need to port CM on their ROMs - we don't because RC from the CM-Team did that for us - and submits fixes for our device as well.
The reason we don't have nightlies is that CM doesn't add devices which aren't fully running ICS - which we don't.
but he only submits fixes for CM7 doesn't he?
Without the drivers we need a cyanogen release is just pointless we are stuck with gingerbread till lg release the official ics and maybe with an official ics rom a cyanogen jb rom can come from that.
I would be interesting to see if the Hardware Acceleration works with Jelly Bean if we have the official LG ICS Sources... Hope it works. ;-)

This is not accurate.. I have a gtab 10.1 running Cm9 nightlies and the tab does not have offial ics yet, same situation... But our dev/maintainer there is pershoot and he care about us... And release nightlies pretty often... Guess RC its just not interested in this phone anymore

that's not right since the Honeycomb drivers were ported and already there, in our situation we only have drivers from Froyo poorly ported by LG to Gingerbread. The leap between GB and ICS is way bigger that HC and ICS. Remember that without his work our phone would be not as good as it is with CM9. Also he still has a private life and if he takes a break , fine so be it. He doesn't owe anyone of us anything.
I'm sorry but I just couldn't let it be

Will there ever be an official Cyanogen Mod 10?

Will CM10 ever "officially" be released for the Droid, or is it no longer supported?
Probably not but I THINK kfazz is working on CM10.

Last official version was CM7

Sadly that would probably be quite a long shot but hey who am to give up on the death defying original Droid

The CyanogenMod team made a statement long ago that the Droid would have official support of CM 7.2, but nothing beyond that.
So, no, there is absolutely no reason to assume the Droid will receive CM10 officially.
Unofficial ports are an entirely different story, however...

Will we ever get Jelly Bean?

There are a decent number of ICS ROM's for the Incredible S but the only stock ICS ROM's are Playground ICS(Development has been stopped) and IceColdSandwich( No new updates for about a month). There are quite a few Sense 4 ROM's as well but honestly after using stock, I can't go back to Sense.
Official support for CM9 is a long way off, so I don't expect CM10 by this year
I wonder if any dev has started working to port JellyBean onto our device?
Desire HD has 4.1 so likelly IncS will do too..
Need Jellybean
Right now waiting for the Project X Rom of nikhil...
but Yes this device really deserves Jellybean.
I have seen few thread for jellybean on droid Incredible.
May be Devs are already working on the Jellybean port to the Inc S..

Will releases be split again?

Hello
I am considering getting this phone. Just wondering why the Xperia Cyanogenmod team do not just contribute to the source code and then user just get updates through normal process like nightlies etc.
I personally never did like releases from CM and on XDA directly from the developer's when I had a Neo. I note that it allowed some stable releases to go through and then a weekly version released not long after with big bug fixes. It was frustrating.
Would it not be easy to have one simple way?
Please note I'm trying not to be critical just wondering. Thanks for your hard work.

That's exactly the way its working. Code is being pushed to cm and when its stable enough it will get nightlies.

I'm confused. What do you mean?
I know code will get pushed to CM. I am just wondering if weeklies will still happen, (I hope not), once the first Official nightly has happened.
It was confusing when there would be CM releases and releases on the forum. Instead of a single release.

Just Be Ready......

The Nxt update from google is Comeing Soon 5.0.3 or 4.3 in 15th of May so for all Just Wait.... it may be a wonderful and solve all bugs which it was in 4.2.2
Sent from my LG-P970 using xda app-developers app
OK so ether another JB (4.3) or KeyLimePie (5.0). Well for the LG OB it means probably CM10.2 or CM11 because I don't think the OB will see a official JB or KLP and definitely not in the next months.
BTW what will be the difference between 4.3 and 5.0?
Sent from my LG-P970 using xda app-developers app
It will be 4.3 http://www.gsmarena.com/next_version_of_android_to_be_43_still_called_jelly_bean-news-5932.php
This phone can't even run 4.0.4 decently. There's no stable/fully working 4.1 or 4.2 ROM. What makes you think 4.3 will work? Lol. Don't get your hopes high, jus saying.
