Chromecast to RCA adaptor - Google Chromecast

Will this work?
with an HDMI to RCA adaptor?

I don't see why not but you'll have to turn the tv on and change the input manually.

Pretty sure that wont work as HDMI is a digital signal where as RCA is analog.

They do have adapters but they're expensive because they're boxes that have to actually convert the signal... but they exist lol.

Basically My BIGGEST problem, is that I NEED and alternative audio output source.
I need the solution to be cost effective, 35 bucks for the tech, and 40 for a solution to make it fully functional.

Didn't they suggest outputting the TV audio to the AVR in another thre? That seems less expensive. -Ara

I have an HDMI monitor W/ out speakers and a DVI Tv. Since Both of these are audio limited I'd need to find some form of audio alternative.

[Q] HDMI Mirroring?

How can I best utilize the HDMI Mirror functionality on the phone? I have it working on a Sprint Evo using FullHDMI, but this app doesn't appear to like the Revolution?
Anyone else have it working? If so, how did you get there?
Thanks,
-Rob

I was just about to ask something similar.. I have tried two different brand mini hdmi cables and i can get nothing to show on my TV. I have tried using it for netflix, videos from the gallery, etc with no success. I have tried all three resolution options with no success... has anyone gotten it to work with the built in HDMI options the revolution has?

i get a picture but no sound. i should have sound right?
Thanks!
Duh. I am such an idiot. I didn't look there. I found it, and it worked PERFECTLY on the HDMI input of my HP All-in-one PC, and on my 65" Sharp TV. Full audio and everything using a cheap cable from Amazon.
Thanks to the original responder for the hint on where to find it, much appreciated. To those who say RTFM, you can suck it because there isn't a mention of that to be found in the guide which came with it.

I had no sound at first. Had to change a setting on the TV to tell it to get sound through the HDMI. Works perfect now. Check settings on your TV.

I've gone through settings, enabled HDMI and tried two different TV's (both less than a year old, one is Vizio, the other is Samsung) and neither of them are working. Any Ideas?

At this point, your phone could have a bad micro HDMI port. I'd have it replaced with a new one. But if you feel like its not your phone then take your phone and your HDMI cable to best buy (or any store that sells Televisions) and ask a representitive that you want to test it out before you buy it (the TV ofcourse).
Most reps will let you hook in your HDMI device without causing much fuss.
If your phone works then its your TV.
If it doesn't then you can get another HDMI cable to test out (or find someone who has a micro HDMI phone and test their phone).
If it works on the second cable then problem solved.
If it worked on someone elses device then your phone has hardware issues.

I would need to revert back to stock or they would just write it off as a complication from rooting it....weighing my options...I'll update my findings.

Rooting your phone voids your warranty, so I'm pretty sure Verizon will check for that when they receive your old phone. They will probably charge you the retail price for the replacement phone they sent you.

Wireless mirroring to TV

So i want to wireless mirror my Galaxy note to my Tv. I've got a regular dumb tv so no smart capabilities.
What's the best options for doing this? Is it even possible?

maybe connecting the TV to a network streaming device that has wifi capabilities, then stream from the note
the problem is which device can be used with the note because there are so many streaming devices out there
EDIT: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-SMP-N200-Streaming-Media-Player/dp/B005MR6CNK/ref=dp_ob_title_ce
maybe this one will work as it has DLNA support

If I make it clear what I want to do that might help. Ideally I'd like to be able to use netflix and the Web browser on my Tv, but wireless. I just don't even know if it's possible.
If not why not?

HDMI Splitter

Hello
Basically I was wondering whether a splitter would enable me to plug multiple devices in to my one monitor (as it only has one HDMI port). Looking to plug in a PC, PS3 and HTC MediaLink HD (a spare port would also be appreciated).
So yeah would this work ok - and if so, any suggestions would be appreciated!
(And I am capable of pressing the "Thanks" button!)

I mean as in, is this all that is needed: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Duronic-HRS...IE20/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1358182603&sr=8-4
(Not that exact model, just an example..)

Assuming you were talking to me, the key part is monitor! Not a tv
Edit: I really meant to post this under Chromecast but decided to leave it here as well.
I had previously run 3 HDMI cables from my office TV through the attic and walls to three other TVs in my house for a project that I no longer use.
Outputs 1,2 and 3 of the 4-Port HDMI splitter are connected to an HDMI cable running to the other TVs with Output 4 connected to my Office TV.
Just for fun, I plugged my Chromecast into the Input of the HDMI splitter and it does work.
Ran a couple of quick tests and all the other TVs see and play anything that I cast from Netflix and/or Chrome Tab.
Probably not worth the effort normally but I did have everything in place.

Not all splitter can plug multiple devices in to your one montitor. Just these 2 way or 4 way as well as 8 way hdmi splitter has this function. So you should buy a correct hdmi splitter best buy. or you will regret to get it.Good luck to you.

How about via to hdmi or dvi t hdmi? Do they both work?
Sent from my SGH-I317M using xda premium
I don't think you can go HDMI to displayport with a cheap passive adapter. You need an expensive active adapter. HDMI to DVI may work as long as it is single and not dual link dvi.
Sorry, I wasn't understanding your question earlier...
What I would try is to use a known working mhl adaptor for the Note 2 first then plug that to the HDMI to DVI adaptor. In their theory it should work. There's some DVI adaptors on Amazon you can try workout breaking the bank.

Best Miracast adapter

Okay so i have this lapdock laying around that is only used for my raspberry pi and i would like to bring life back into it with either a low latency miracast adapter or some by some miracle someone figures a way to use otg and slimport simultaneously
i figured it would be cool to use the lapdock with this phone, so any decent options out there?
Samsung TV with native miracast
Thanks but that would not benefit me in any way
Does anybody know of a good adapter
I use the netgear push2tv 3000 adapter. Works pretty good to me

I use the same device and it works fine for playing videos but the lag bothers me when I'm typing. I don't know if we can expect anything faster from Miracast though.
