Or can anyone tell me a trick how to fix it ? How did you handled whit that ?
Check out ShootMe in the market. You can take screen captures by shaking your phone. Your phone has to be rooted to use it.

It doesn't work like that for me. While holding my 'back' button, it doesnt go one step back. Are you sure you are not releasing the button untill the screashot is taken?
Open one of your contacts and when you do screenshot it might go back to screen you want shot?
My screenshot works fine on contacts though.

Button for back/exit & middle button?? ( combo)
thx guys i got it. I was releasing the back button before the screen is captured
Hi,
When I try to do a print screen using menu + volume down, the picture that is captured includes the "silence ringtone" window that pops up (relating to the pressing of the volume key). Can the display of volume be switched off?
Also, is there any way to select different key combinations? I am using a soft key for menu (Button Savior), and hitting that with the volume down key is more miss than hit - about 2 in 25 attempts!
BTW, I am using MIUI 1.8.5 ROM.
TIA
Elkay
I even cannot do screen shot by using Menu+Volume- buttons. Actually I want to know if there is a way to define sofkey in Button Savior.

I haven't been able to repeat a capture, but I have 2 screenshots as evidence it is possible.
I haven't found any way of defining a softkey in Button Savior.

I saw threads remap the g-key to camera. But I want to map it to a volume app.
Thanks for the help.
Here is what i found;
1.Firstly, you need a rooted LG Optimus Black.
2.Find the file“TWL4030_Keypad.kl”, it’s in /system/usr/keylayout/
3.Backup the file, copy or rename.
4.Then open the “TWL4030_Keypad.kl”, scroll down to 3rd line from the bottom, it should be “key 95 GESTURE”.
5.If you want to use your phone’s “G Button” as camera button, change it to “key 95 CAMERA WAKE_DROPPED” (Once you launch the camera app, you can press the “G button” to take a picture immediately)
6.If you want to use use your phone’s “G Button as power/lock button, change it to “key 95 POWER WAKE_DROPPED”
7.Save the changes and reboot the device.

You get the trick right? With a little luck you can remap it to anything you want. You can write volume i guess... But volume has 2 options "+" and "-". So even if you manage to do it you will only be able to remap one of them. It's either "volume +" or "volume -" Since G is only one button.
Thanks a lot man!
The Volume i mean is just an ordinary app from the market called "volume toggle free". So an instruction about remapping the gkey to any app should work. How?

When I use the KK Rom, I can only get the screenshot by using the Power Menu (Long press the power button while the power menu is configured to have a screenshot option). Anyone knows a way or any app I can install to capture a screenshot by long press the "Recent App" Soft key and get a screenshot saved like in the Asus stock ROM?

Thanks for the tip, I installed and tested it, the captured size of the screenshot is not exactly as it is by using the hardware key or the long press Recent Apps softkey.
Any other tips?

I am not using the KK version but does the power and volume down not take a screen cap?
It works in JB version and on my phone with KK?

Yes, the power and volume key combination works, but for 2 reasons I don't like it.
1) too many presses on keys are no good for the hardware, and
2) the TF701 has both power and volume keys on the upper left hand and it is difficult for me to press both keys at once.
I think the best is still the long press Recent Apps soft button implemented by Asus.

Please elaborate on this more, are you referring to add the screenshot choice to the power on/off hardware button?
Just use the power options screen shot functionality in kk.... It's in settings, developer settings somewhere. You push the power button and one of the options is a soft button to take a screen shot.
Or stop cheating
Sorry for this noob question. But I do not find the multitasking key in my rom(http://forum.xda-developers.com/xia...elopment-cancro-cyanogenmod-11-alpha-t2844343), if I long press the home button only google now opens.
Thanks in advance!
