Hello!
So my phone won't boot or recharge. I had this issue once before while using CM 10.1 but now I was running codefire X. Last time it was all dead for 4-5 days and then it suddenly turned on... Now the phone just said a couple of days back that its "Turning power off" and since then it has been refusing to work. I can't access bootloader or recovery and wont connect to pc. Even tried to put tape on top of battery but that didn't work
Please help guys! (Real tired of my old Wildfire without sd card -.-)
Anything guys? Is the phone completely dead? Do I have to buy a new one?
Anyone else have the same issue?
Please help a fellow here!

Hey there all,
yesterday, i woke up in the morning and my milestone was blanked out. Thinking, maybe the battery was at 0%, i plugged to the wall charger (connecting to computer never worked below 5% so..), i waited about a full day but it won't turn on. when i first woke up and saw the phone was dead, i tried turning it on, it BRIEFLY showed M logo then it turned off again.
after charging endlessly and having no result, i tried everything, i tried charging without sdcard, without battery to see if it will show on screen, took out battery put it again, tried bootloader, and any possible way but milestone is not responsive.
regardless of how i press power button it wont turn on at all.
Here in Canada, all stores are closed today because its Easter sunday.. I am gonna go to telus store tomorrow to check if another battery will make it work but would the battery get totally drained within less than a year!!? i didnt use my phone TOO much. I bought may 2010, and I wonder if warranty will cover this (it is 1 year) because mine is Rooted with CM6, and since phone doesnt work right now, i cant reset to stock mode.
Please input your thoughts as to how to solve this problem T_T Thank you.
Remove battery. Plugin phone to charger. You should see a battery symbol with a question mark inside. If it does, put your battery in and your battery should start charging if everything is ok with your battery.

It happened with me, but because of flashing a bad rom My MS kept rebooting.
I did flash a fresh rom using Rsdlite and it worked with no problem.
Beside what sileshn said try to flash a new rom.
Goodluck.

I am having the same problem! When I turnmy phn on! it shows thw M sign! Then show Android which shows loading! Then It shows "Starting Motorola" And then it keeps on displaying this message!! Help me!! :crying:
Got the phone just over a year ago so it's just out of warranty.
The phone recently started turning off, forcing me to remove the battery in order to restart it. This occurred when I turned the screen off (power button) and left it off for more than about 20 seconds. This was obviously a massive pain in the ass, so I decided to s-off, root, then put custom firmware on it.
So I plugged it into the computer and was just downloading all the required bits, and I got a phone call. I picked up, talked for a bit, then when I hung up I instinctively turned the phone screen off. I then left it for about half an hour until the downloads were done (HTC Sync downloading at 40 kbps >.<) and then went to turn it back on. Of course it had offed itself.
So I went to pull the battery out and do the usual -- to no avail. I tried outing the battery, plugging it in, then putting the battery back in (as read from a random Google result) and nothing.
TL;DR:
Here's the status:
Phone began doing the seemingly standard random turn-offs that require a battery loop.
After a week or so of this, the phone stopped coming back on.
And it will not give any sign of life (No vibrates, no lights when plugged in, no PC response)
Phone has never been dropped / watered
Tried different leads / USB - power adapters
Battery was at about 80-90% at the time of offing forever.
Tried with SIM Card in and out
Tried with MicroSD card in and out
Is this **** bricked? I wanted to wait for the Edge to come out before I upgraded; I don't want to end up with a Sensation or something.
Any fixes?

Sounds like your phone just died.
Another explanation is you have something loose, you should open it and check .

I'll take it in the an Optus shop today and start yelling abuse, maybe that will get it fixed. Worked on my old Legend. If that doesn't work, I'll open it up and have a look.
Yelling didn't work, they just tried out the phone on all their chargers and it failed.
So I'll open it now.
OK here's a picture of the USB charger bit. I can't post external links, so I'll attach it.
It looks okay... is this what I should try replacing? The USB thingy?
BTW, I unplugged everything then plugged it all back in, so nothing's loose.
Hey Andrew, I sent you a PM.
Struggling with the same problem...
Just made a call from my phone. After the call the phone seemed to be stuck on the call screen. I didn't think anything of it and left the phone alone. When i tried to use the phone again, there was no screen and the phone was not responding. I tried to re-start the phone by pulling out the battery but it won't switch on. You people seem to have the same problem. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.
Just a suggestion, but have you tried removing the battery and powering on with the charger connected?
I guess this would help resolve whether it's a battery/charger issue.

Hey guy's,
I ran into a problem with a friends Galaxy S. She had it in a drawer for quite some time as a spare phone. Now her new phone died, and she wanted to use this one again. The battery was fully charged when she had put it in the drawer, and the phone worked perfectly. (Strangely, I experience the same with my HTC) Does anyone of you know how to fix this?
When I try to charge it, it does nothing. It doesn't boot, it doesn't boot into recovery, and it won't go in to download mode. Kind-off getting crazy now!
Thanks in advance!
maybe try cleaning the battery and phone pins as it's been stuck in a drawer for some time.
I would try a battery from an other phone first.
It also could be the charger.
So my phone is rooted/s-off/unlocked boot loader on cyanogenmod11 build 4.something, I'm not too sure, I used the cyanogenmod installer so it should be on the latest stable build. My phone was having this problem of restarting when leaving wifi signal area and turning wifi off, annoying, but not a huge deal. Last night it powered off from a dead battery, when I tried to charge it back up and turn it on it got stuck into a bootloop(Stuck on the white HTC logo and not changing until it dies again), now the phone won't charge at all, and doesn't seem to be recognized by my computer when I try to connect. Is my phone completely bricked or is there someway to fix it. I don't have the best knowledge about this stuff but I do have patience and appreciation for any help offered, Thank you.

I tried charging it over night with the original charger, Is it plausible for the battery to just die out like this? I've only been using the phones for <6 months.
Hello champs.! I recently hardbricked my Redmi note 9 4g and got somebody from telegram help me with it via team viewer. So he flashed the rom with his modified tools but the phone couldn't boot. Then i charged the device without any charging indication helplessly.. It couldn't come back to life and there was nothing we can do. But all of a sudden at a random day i tried to power it on it was alive again. So the main problem here is when the phone is shutted down or restart it cant boot by itself on time. It can stay days or weeks until It's on again. And i can't escape that fate coz when the phone is left on for a lot of days it becomes unstable and needs a restart. Anyone has a guess what could be the problem here. Kindly help
