Unstable Software Experience - Redmi Note 9 Questions & Answers

Hello champs.! I recently hardbricked my Redmi note 9 4g and got somebody from telegram help me with it via team viewer. So he flashed the rom with his modified tools but the phone couldn't boot. Then i charged the device without any charging indication helplessly.. It couldn't come back to life and there was nothing we can do. But all of a sudden at a random day i tried to power it on it was alive again. So the main problem here is when the phone is shutted down or restart it cant boot by itself on time. It can stay days or weeks until It's on again. And i can't escape that fate coz when the phone is left on for a lot of days it becomes unstable and needs a restart. Anyone has a guess what could be the problem here. Kindly help

About ParanoidAndroid

Since I can't post in development section (under 10 posts) I will ask here!
I'am using Paranoid 0.2 and it is great, no SOD, no battery drain.... but I did notice something strange!
My Note died on the way home from work (got to get extra battery), and when I connected to charger system booted up. I tried several times to power off but every time I connect charger (original Samsung), my note boots up!
It's not really an issue but I'am curious is it just my device or is it a known/unknown software bug??

Experienced the same thing the other day.
Generally, my phone battery never depletes to that extent so I'd never had this problem before.
What made it worse was that I was unable to fully boot the phone, it would die in the middle of the Paranoid Android boot animation.
Ended up having to boot into recovery and leave the phone to charge for 10min just to ensure I could successfully reboot.
In any case, not really an issue as I usually recharge the phone long before the battery is completely depleted.
I usually carry charger with me but I was caught off guard this time!
After a few tryes I decided that this ROM is so good that my note simply refuses to stay off
Now I'am really curious about this bug, hoping to hear from someone with more knowledge!!

If I understood correctly:
Your phone doesn't have enough juice to support the boot animation? And you can't charge it because phone just turns on when you put charger on.
Solution would be to boot into recovery, then charge it.
its not a bug

It's not a bug, its a feature, PA or rathor Android never goes into shutdown mode. It has been implemented that way...
This discussion was discussed on the official PA thread just a couple of days back, read 4-8 pages back and you will get all the required info...
I just used this rom for about one week, the front is small for me

[Q] Phone won't boot nor recharge

Hello!
So my phone won't boot or recharge. I had this issue once before while using CM 10.1 but now I was running codefire X. Last time it was all dead for 4-5 days and then it suddenly turned on... Now the phone just said a couple of days back that its "Turning power off" and since then it has been refusing to work. I can't access bootloader or recovery and wont connect to pc. Even tried to put tape on top of battery but that didn't work
Please help guys! (Real tired of my old Wildfire without sd card -.-)
Anything guys? Is the phone completely dead? Do I have to buy a new one?
Anyone else have the same issue?
Please help a fellow here!

Mi5 Issue with phone/battery, brick every 2 weeks.

Hi,
I'm a Mi5 3/64 (black) user since 1 month, I bought it from Geekbuying.
Since 1 months the phone was hardbricked twice:
First time I left it overnight with 40% of battery and when I woke up in the morning the phone was dead, no life at all. I tried to charge it for couple of hours but it didn't help. Luckily I was able to flash MIUI through Miflash, so after that I was able to turn on my mobile and start again from zero. Terrible.
Second time it happened while I was charging my mobile. When it had 90% of battery I switched the mobile off. After one or two hours, still connected to charger I tried to turn it on but it was dead again. No life at all. I tried to charge it for couple of hours and nothing. So I left it and the next day I tried to turn it on by any chance and the red LED started to blink. Tried to charge for a while, but still without success. Connected to my laptop and it was visible in MiFlash, so I flashed latest Miui dev and now I can start again setting up my mobile.
What should I do now? Does it look like battery issue? I'm afraid that it will happen again after 2-3 weeks.
Somebody else had this issue? Did you ever return smth to Geekbuying and received item or refund back?
I wrote to Geekbuying and they just recommended me to flash this - https://goo.gl/jLBSsa I think it's bull****, just an old Miui ROM.
Thank you in advance for any help.
Was just going to restart the device and flash supersu binarys, tried to restart into recovery, eventually it died, couldnt boot it at all, doesnt respond while charging neither when plugging into the computer. I've no idea what happened but for me it feels like it was the battery failed. I was on lineage 170109 with brand kernel 3.3

Yes, so your issue is similar to mine. Terrible, no idea what's wrong with this phone and geekbuying support is terrible.
Use MiFlash to temporary make your device alive.

Using Mac but don't want to hassle, just bought a new battery from ebay instead and hope it will fix the problem.
On another community people told me that the main board is faulty, they say that it's the common issue in mi5.

Xiaomi Mi 5 motherboard , battery or software issue?

Hey guys,
my 1 year old Xiaomi Mi 5 has a problem. It just turnes black after some time and I am not able to turn it back on by pressing the power button until I unplug and plug back in the battery. Which I had to do 2 times because the first time it somehow didn't work.
So, after what time does it turn black/off?
- Last time I was able to do everything for about 2-3 days until it turned itself off
- The time before it worked about 1-2 days
Last time I did that precedure the battery wasn't working properly. It didn't show me any percentage and after I unplugged it went black. So I unplugged and replugged the battery again and it worked. Maybe there was a connection issue I don't know. The only strange thing was that the battery was at 0% and started charging normally, but I charged it up to 100% the day before and didn't use it much. It was at about 80-90% when I got to bed.
I had the official Xiaomi Global Developer version of MIUI 9 installed. After the first failure I switched to the Ciaomi Global Stable ROM and I had the same issues. Now after about 2 months I thought about trying to repair it. Dowloaded and installed the newest Xiaomi Global Stable MIUI9 ROM and it failed me after 2-3 days.
I have never repaired a smartphone. Repairing shouldn't be the problem either, but I don't know what causes the issues.
It works for some days and then suddenly breaks. Can the motherboard really be broken if everything works for days and then breaks?
Battery is also working properly. Can get through a day without a problem of running out of battery.
I am really clueless what could cause the issues. Do you guys have any ideas?
IF you need any information feel free to ask.
Thanks for trying to help,

Wierd No Power Issue with X2Pro

Hi All,
I have come across a weird problem with my realme X2pro.
Few months ago I dropped my phone and the screen was dead, however the phone was powering on and since it had Microsoft My Phone setup I was able to receive the calls and messages on my laptop whenever the phone was powered On.
Since there was lockdown I preferred to order OnePlus and get the phone repaired later, after 2 months I got the screen replaced at authorized service center and the phone worked fine for 10 days.
After that one day it just switched off and wont power On irrespective of what I try, after about 20 days I tried to power it on again and to my surprise it powered on and then switched of after 5 minutes (battery showed 100% charge). After that if I try to power On there is no sign of any power or activity on the phone.
I lost all hopes and now after 3 months I powered it on randomly after leaving it for a full charge (4 hours) and surprisingly it power on and worked fine for 5 minutes and then shut down.
I had taken the phone to service center and they say that motherboard was fault and wanted to charge 18K as its the Master Edition Phone.
I am technically sound person as I work for a tech company and know my stuff around Android, Windows and BB phones very well.
I have tried fastboot and recovery to load with diff power button combinations but absolutely no sign o power.
I am suspecting this is a battery issue but need to get some 2nd opinion before I spend 2k, already spent 15k for the screen though.
Thanks in advance for your support and guidance.
I think i have figured out that there is a battery issue with the phone.
The battery has to be charged for at least 10+ hrs before it allows to power ON.
However now I have ended up with another issues.
After booting the phone to the OS successfully, I chose to flash to old version as I wasn't able to access fastboot.
The flashing completed successfully but now I am stuck on Realme Logo and phone does not boot to android.
I am also not able to boot to recovery or fastboot mode as I was rolling back from Android 11
Any help here will be appreciated.
