Wierd No Power Issue with X2Pro - Realme X2 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi All,
I have come across a weird problem with my realme X2pro.
Few months ago I dropped my phone and the screen was dead, however the phone was powering on and since it had Microsoft My Phone setup I was able to receive the calls and messages on my laptop whenever the phone was powered On.
Since there was lockdown I preferred to order OnePlus and get the phone repaired later, after 2 months I got the screen replaced at authorized service center and the phone worked fine for 10 days.
After that one day it just switched off and wont power On irrespective of what I try, after about 20 days I tried to power it on again and to my surprise it powered on and then switched of after 5 minutes (battery showed 100% charge). After that if I try to power On there is no sign of any power or activity on the phone.
I lost all hopes and now after 3 months I powered it on randomly after leaving it for a full charge (4 hours) and surprisingly it power on and worked fine for 5 minutes and then shut down.
I had taken the phone to service center and they say that motherboard was fault and wanted to charge 18K as its the Master Edition Phone.
I am technically sound person as I work for a tech company and know my stuff around Android, Windows and BB phones very well.
I have tried fastboot and recovery to load with diff power button combinations but absolutely no sign o power.
I am suspecting this is a battery issue but need to get some 2nd opinion before I spend 2k, already spent 15k for the screen though.
Thanks in advance for your support and guidance.

I think i have figured out that there is a battery issue with the phone.
The battery has to be charged for at least 10+ hrs before it allows to power ON.
However now I have ended up with another issues.
After booting the phone to the OS successfully, I chose to flash to old version as I wasn't able to access fastboot.
The flashing completed successfully but now I am stuck on Realme Logo and phone does not boot to android.
I am also not able to boot to recovery or fastboot mode as I was rolling back from Android 11
Any help here will be appreciated.

[Q] Is my Nexus 7 dead? Please give me options to charge/turn on

Good evening everyone, I have a Nexus 7 8gb, but the thing is, I cannot turn it on now.
It happened as follows:
I was using it every now and then, mostly to read and play.
I was using the charger to charge my cellphone too (XTC Explorer) as it was a lot faster, being 2amp/h.
I updated the cell to 4.1 and at the same week noted the battery wasn't running that long, but blamed it to the rom.
The cellphone also took a lot longer to charge with the nexus charger, yet again I blamed the rom.
I noticed the Nex was at 8% while reading so decided to charge it, but I guess I forgotten.
The next time I wanted to use it it wouldn't turn on. I figure it had no battery.
I plugged the nexus charger to the nexus a whole night and in the morning it still wouldn't turn on.
I figured something must be wrong with the charger, so I tried with the cellphone and nook color charger, but both are .5 amps/hour.
It wouldn't charge, neither connected to the pc (also .5a/h via usb) so I tried a psp go charger, as it is rated at 1.5 amp/hour, much closer.
I connected it at night and saw the charging icon (white on black battery with the ray) and left it overnight.
The next morning it wouldn't turn on either.
I've bought it almost two months ago and I really enjoy it =) but now I'm desperate.
I cannot call google play for the warrant because I'm in Argentina, and I don't believe they will ship me a replacement, nor anything. This one my brother bought from them, but he went back to US a few days ago, and I didn't think of giving it to him to RMA.
I tried keeping the on button, for 5 secs, 30 sec, 90 secs, 120 secs, and no dice. Also tried holding the Up Volume key to restart it, but no chance.
Please help!
Had a similar issue to this over the weekend after not charging for 2 days and the battery going dead. I let it sit on the original charger overnight and for some reason it did not charge. It kept booting and shutting down once it booted due to a low battery warning. It eventually got to the point where the screen would go to fuzzy lines and light but no boot.
To finally get it working I did a combination of a few things but don't actually know what got it going.
Put it on a different (kindle) charger and let it sit for an hour or 2, did several hard resets holding both just the power and also the up/down volume and power all at the same time for up to 60 plus seconds. I switched back to the stock charger and did an additional hard boot by holding just the power for 30+ seconds and it started booting and charging.
I did however put it on the charge again last night and noticed this morning it was still at half battery and didn't get a charge. I ended up putting it on a mifi charger this morning and it's charging again so don't know what is up with the stock charger. Also, have all the latest updates to 4.2 as far as I know as there have been charging issues reported with earlier versions...

Try this, it just saved my device:

try holding down the volume DOWN and the power key for 10 seconds, then release the power key and keep the volume down key pressed, and it will force the unit to restart into the bootloader from any stage, its effectively like pushing the restart button on the front of a computer and constantly pressing the delete key to get into the bios.

8X Bricked

So I bought the T-Mobile 8X on the 16th and today at worked it completely bricked. It was plugged in charging and all I did was hit the power button to see if I had any text and the screen wouldn't turn on. Have tried everything from removing and re-inserting SIM, holding power button with a variety of buttons for 15-20 seconds, etc. Seems the phone is completely dead. Has anyone else run into this issue? And are there any other suggestions on how to maybe get back on? At this point I don't care if I have to hard reset it. I just want the damn thing working again.
Thanks.

I'm telling you this not because I believe it's the case but still...
I have the HD7 (my Lumia 810 is due tomorrow) also made by HTC and for 7 months now it's been suffering from an issue where it would get stuck in charge mode after I unplugged it from the charger. The ONLY way to turn the phone off is to remove the battery. Holding down the power button, the hard reset combo (V+ V- and power), etc had no effect. Pulling the battery was the only way to use my phone. This happened maybe 40% of the time I unplugged the phone. What about the other 60% you ask? Well, half of that 60% the phone would behave normally until the next charge. But the other half of the time (this could be the scenario your phone is experiencing), it would appear normal until I'd get a text or an alarm would go off. Then I'd grab the phone and couldn't turn it on (in the alarm scenario, the alarm would be going off but I couldn't turn the phone on without pulling the battery.
Long story short, I'd read other accounts like this (most attributed it to a faulty micro usb port, but not sure if that was ever verified) and this was definitely one of the reasons I shied away from both HTC and from phones without removable batteries. My HD7 has been a bit annoying these last few months, but at least I could use the phone each day after a 30 second chore of removing the battery. If the HD7 had a irremovable battery I'd have been forced to ship it to HTC (out of warranty since it happened the 2nd year) and be without my phone for several weeks, if not longer.
That's good to know. I ended up going for an exchange. If this one bricks again it will be my last.
sounds like your phone was stuck in download mode. just hold both vol up and vol down for 2 minutes then press and hold power button while still holding vol buttons until phone vibrates. then the phone will power on.
My T-Mobile branded 8x has been in for repair 5 times. I've only owned it since April. HTC has escalated my ticket and are actually swapping the device. My most recent failure was exactly as you described...It happened about 1 day after I got it back from repair! I had it plugged into the car charger. I used the GPS of and on for my 2 hour drive. I got to my destination, unplugged it, made a phone call, and put it in my pocket. About 5 mins later, I pulled it out to make another phone call, and the screen was black. No combination of button holding would make it do anything... I then plugged it into the car charger, and it vibrated, showed me the HTC splash screen, went black, and then repeated that sequence. No amount of funky power-camera-volume button holding would get it to kick into any other mode.
Save your receipt. A lot of these phones were made in the december/january timeframe. HTC will need it eventually to "re-align" the warranty after the phone is past the date of manufacture.
Luckily, I picked up a Lumia 521 for $35 when Target had it mis-listed on their website.
If you are curious, here is my long history with my 8X:
1. Phone purchased mid-April, 2013. Brand new.
2. Phone quickly developed the "Peeling Edges" issue, where the rubber coating was wearing off around the edges. Sent it in for repair around Early November.
3. Phone worked great for two weeks, then started acting like the power button was randomly getting stuck down...phone would boot loop, I could enter various other modes by holding camera and volume buttons without touching the power button.
4. Sent it out for repair again. This time the touchscreen screen had a "Dead area" about 2/3 of the way down from the top.
5. Sent it in for repair AGAIN. This time it came back and everything was working fine. Then about a month later, the camera stopped working.
6. Sent it in for repair AGAIN. The unit I received back worked for 1 day, then died just like the OP's....

[Q] Neither turning on or charging, any other ideas?

Hi,
My HTC One seems bricked, I just want to go through all the things I have tried hoping I've missed something . My only other option is to contact HTC.
My phone was running Slimkat 4.4 and also had an app called One Power Guard which saved power by messing with the Kernel. It was running stable with the rom for more than a month.
My phone was charged all night 2 days ago, it reached hundred percnt but I noticed it when I stated using it that very very hot. The battery also heavily drained and the phone died about about an hour and a half later. This was the first time this had happened also beside the heat and the drain the phone was working fine.
It has not switched back on since neither has it shown any sign of life.
I have tried the following:
1. held the power button and the volume down or up button in all combination ranging from 10 seconds to minutes.
2. Done the same under a bright light.
3. Tried unbrick beta on 32 bit llinux (was not detected).
4. Tried putting it in freezer for 2 minutes.
5. charging the phone for over 36 hours straight.
6. plugging it into pc (not detected).
Any help would be great.

Xiaomi Mi 9 dead. It doesn't boot or charge anymore

Hi guys, did anyone had problems with mi9. problems = it doesn't charge or boot anymore. it's kinda dead
It happened a couple of weeks ago. at some moment I could start it by long-pressing the power button and I could use it for about a week. In this period the phone suddenly shuts off every day or so but I could start it again after a few hours, charge it and so on. The battery seems to drain a little during this period but nothing major.(eg.phone shuts off with 90% and after 2 hours when I start it again it had 78%). Regarding the shutting down problem, it didn't happened when the phone was used heavily like playing games(actually I didn't play games at all) but in regular user mode like browsing a site, scrolling on Facebook and so on.
A few days ago the phone went off again but this time I couldn't start it anymore and it doesn't charge anymore. Tried to long-press power button, power + volume buttons, power + vol down/vol up. The phone's kinda dead.
I bought the phone from China(aliexpress) and it's still in warranty. However, it will take a while(probably 2-3 months until I will receive it back) and kinda costly to ship it back in China from Europe.
I had the developer rom on this since day 2(April) and didn't installed 3rd party firmware, like xiaomi.eu or others.
Don't know if it's battery-related or it has to do with some other hardware problem.
Now I'm thinking whether to send it back or to open it myself, try to clean it or to replace the battery(I will need to order a battery from aliexpress since I couldn't find any in my country) or go to a local service so they can check it out. In both cases, I will surely lose the warranty.
Anyways, anyone had a similar problem with their Mi 9? Any advice?
Thanks

Hello,
If you bought it from Aliexpress, you have a one year warranty with Allianz Global Assistance . You can therefore open a claim.
They will send you a prepaid label to send it to a local repair center in your country.

No, I didn't. I assumed is battery fault and I ordered a battery from aliexpress back in January before going with the phone to a service. That battery never arrived lol.
Therefore I will probably go with the phone to a service as it is. But that will happen after covid
I have the same issue but I have soaked my phone under water. So I think I also need a new battery, as I have opened the phone and it doesn't seem there is any kind of corrosion. I have seen there are batteries with bigger capacity, I wonderbif it is safe or not!
I have the same exact issue. I sent it to service repair and they just sent me a quote: just formatting the phone. I'm challenging them because formatting means software, and I'm pretty sure if the phones does not turn on with multiple different button press and combinations, it's not software...
Did u found the solution? Is the battery problem?

It doesn't have anything to do with the battery. I went with the phone at two repair shops and they both said the motherboard or cpu is broken.
A reballing could be a solution but they don't have tools for that
Finally, I sent the phone back to China for warranty and now I'm waiting since it will take about 2 months lol.
I was thinking if it was the motherboard flex cable .. I just ordered a new one from online, after few weeks will inform here
I have had the exact same problem. I have had the phone just less than a year. It just out of the blue turned off. Then this kept happening. It was then fine when I was playing music on it for a couple of hours. Then it was fine when I was charging it overnight and for most of the next day. Then it kept turning off again. Was able to turn it on again most of the times by holding down the power button for a few seconds, but now it will not turn on no matter what I do. There is no indication that it is charging.
Did anyone manage to fix this problem? I had the same issue, but the phone is back to normal again...
I'm having the same problem. Any solution found? I tried replacing the battery, but no luck so far.
After a few times turning on suddenly, I tried keeping without a SIM card, and the phone didn't power off for two days...
Then I tried to put the sim card, and it turned off about 30 min later...
It all started a couple weeks ago, at first I was with MIUI 11 and now Im running MIUI 12.
Just happened on my phone - exactly the same as above - power button was working to reset, now nothing
MOD EDIT: Please post only in English according to the FORUM RULES,translation added below:
Try chimera loading the original firmware, but first you'll have to do a te,s,t P,o,int. to generate the edl port. if you're happy to have help, I can make orientals more. This is for totally dead phones, they revive because they revive.
As other people have said, once battery runs flat it then charges, and ok for a few hours before it happens again (dead and cant do anything). I have an RMA with Xiaomi
I have the same problem. My 1 years mi 9 just dead. I wake up and its still working when i use it to chat, then the phone shutdown on its own after I left it for an 1 hour. I try powering it on its still work. Then I go to friends place I check my phone and its turnef off on its own again. This time my friend tried to turn it on and it work. But when we go to eat, I check it was turned off again and It cant be turned on anymore. Plz help
I sent mine back as part of a warranty repair. I've just been informed it's been fixed and is being sent back to me. They confirmed they replaced the main board and upgraded the software (although it was already running the latest MI9 update with MIUI12).
Heello, this issue exactly same with me, since july 2020. Now i repair on 2 different repair shop, but they do nothing. It was ok if i dont put the sim card on my phone, after put in sim card, it happen (died) for quickly. and sometimes cant charged anymore.
Hope anyone solved this issue, what is the main problem with this mi 9.
Exactly the same issue!
For few days it works after the "fastboot" method. But now it won't turn on.
Any suggestions?

Mi 9 randomly crashes

Hello,
I got a problem with my Xiaomi Mi 9 and maybe someone is able to help me:
I use a Xiaomi Mi 9 that I bought in Apr 2019 as my daily driver and am very happy with it (like it fulfills all my needs), but 2 days ago it just randomly crashed and isn't able to "sustain itself". By "sustaining itself" I mean just being kept on and literally existing.
I thought it was the battery at first since it already was at its dying point (the battery didn't hold a day without getting recharged within that day) and because the phone wasn't able to boot or sustaining itself since then for more than 2 minutes without an external power supply, so my thought was "Okay, the battery isn't able to hold the needed voltage" and since I already had a replacement battery at home it shouldn't be a problem, so I replaced the battery.
Now the new battery is installed, but the phone still crashes and needs like 5-10 tries to boot it (holding down the power button), whilst I still know it should have enough energy. It also isn't even showing a charging symbol when it's connected to the plug.
Does anyone know what the problem is? I think it's rather a hardware failure, because the crashes look like a power outgoing (the screen isn't turning black, it is rather 'dissolving' (just like the current frame is frozen and more and more pixel go away within 2 seconds)).
My thought was maybe it's the logic board, but wanted to ask here because maybe someone had the same problem.
Thank you for reading,
RHSF
