and now I'm stuck in a bootloop and a nfc msg comes up from time to time with a black screen when it boots all the way up, stays on for about 30 seconds and then reboots itself? Can anyone help please? I've tried reflashing my backup I made and still the same thing. I tried flashing a different kernel, the stock rooted kernel for sprint htc and still the black screen with a x next to the singal bar and the battery icon?? and reboots after 30 seconds?? Need help?

Are you flashing things from the HTC one forum. Or the SPRINT Htc one forum. You need to be in the Sprint htc forum as most of the things in the HTC one forum won't work on the sprint model. We have m7spr or something like that. Most of those are gsm.

If none of that worked use the RUU. Hopefully you're still on 1.29 firmware because I don't think a 1.31 has been released yet.

If you are on 1.31, the only way to RUU back at this point is to get s-off. I understand revone should still work for you. S-off will allow you to RUU an old (1.29) firmware. That is until we get a signed RUU of 1.31.

You screwed up your flash with a GSM HTC One kernel. The only real fix at the moment is to RUU your device and be more careful next time.
Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I RUU a new version and that worked.
Edit: Reread and missed things, no longer applies.
Also, overclocking an S600 is silly. I don't want to seem pessimistic, but that 1 to 2% performance improvement really doesn't mean anything.

hi enter to the bootloader - fastboot and make it lock with this command ( fastboot oem lock ) and then download and run roger ruu stock
(http://hotfile.com/dl/145619873/245....77.551061.02L_release_219561_signed.exe.html)
like that it should be back to the stock.
Well I'm not entirely sure why it worked this time - lord knows i tried every combination of commands at least twice.
I'm back at setup for Rogers - guess I'll have to learn to live with the low volume issue - which is what prompted me to look for a root to begin with.
Thank you for the assistance at least getting me back to square 1
Boot into fastboot, and flash stock kernel. Or flas recovery to install Rom. guess u'r in bootloop. Cmiiw

Go to recovery and plug it in. Run ADB and type adb devices. It should say
"List of devices attached"
*Serial number below*
If your serial number pops up it's connected. If it doesn't then it could be your drivers aren't installed. I had that problem and downloading the drivers again fixed it.

You would need the RUU.exe for the Vivid. Not the Raider.
http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-vivid-att/software-updates
Underneath "HTC Vivid™ for AT&T ROM Update | 03.22.2012" click read more in green. Go to the bottom and click download. That is the ICS stock RUU for AT&T Vivid.
it worked
It worked. It break the screen loop. First I relocked. The RUU install the ICS. Now at hboot show: S-ON RL
Could you please tell me what next? I am terrified to get back to the past loop... haha
If you're looking into rooting it..

Today I attempted to root my HTC Velocity, I'm with Telstra and my phone was running an original Telstra version of Ice Cream Sandwich.
Now when I try to start my phone it gets stuck at the white HTC screen. I am able to get into HBoot (I also wasn't able to disable the NAND security) and Recovery. Unfortunatley I didn't make any sort of backup in the recovery program.
I know there are plenty of warnings and its my stupid noob mistake for messing around with my phone when I didn't know what I was doing but at the moment I'd really appreciate if someone is able to help me.

Hello Forum..
First, I'd like to acknowledge the great All-In-One tool posted for this new phone. I have been rooting Android since the HTC hero and have always trusted this site for development info. That being said...
I am having problems with my brand new HTC one... After using the All In One tool, my booloader is unlocked, but above the "Unlocked" info is says "Tampered". Also.... I cannot flash the TWRP so I can boot to recovery. After the CMD screens, is says flash is successful, but when I try and boot to recovery, I get the HTC screen with the pink font saying "Entering Recovery" but then my HTC One just shuts off. I then have to hold down the power button for at least 45 second b4 the phone turns back on.
1. What did I do wrong, and can this be fixed??
2. I see I can re-lock bootloader with tool, but there is currently no Factory RUU for Sprint yet????
3. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

1. I actually had to flash recovery twice to get it to work. You may have to do it more. I dunno. Just keep flashing and trying.
2. Nope no ruu yet. Itll be soon I suppose. 3. No problem.

Wow....thanks for the fast response... I have been trying to flash the TWRP several times... but it just wont boot to recovery. My phone just hangs and then shuts off. Then I get the "Sprint" splash screen and start-up
Did you have any insite on why I get the "Tampered" indication along with the "Unlocked"??
Im assuming its because youve flashed twrp. Mine says the same.

Make sure you are using the right gui for the all in one tool kit. There are two for the One. If you aren't using the spring version then it won't work.

Need help....Similar kind of problem
Hi CPTHook,
I got similar kind of problem in my HTC one. I'm not that technically sound. I simply updated my HTC One's softwares over wifi and after working well for four five days my HTC One (M7) sudden;y stopped working. It gets struck either on start screen or bootloader when I start. There are two flags:
**Tampered**
**Unlocked**
'
My phone is kind of dead since 4 months. Please help me out. I'm very sad. I'll be very grateful to you for this.:crying:
Just got a new HTC One yesterday, rooted and s-off without too much grief thanks to you guys and was flashing a few of the AOSP-based ROMs when suddenly, data completely stopped working and nothing I've done seems to fix it.
Basically it's mostly showing the completely empty triangle, no white bars or blue bars or anything. I've tried messing with the settings in Mobile Networks (although I make sure not to turn on roaming), I've tried turning Airplane mode on and off, hitting the tile in Power Menu, taking the Sim card out, I've tried re-flashing different ROMs, the same ROM, I even went back to the stock backup I made in TWRP immediately after getting s-off and the problem is persisting.
Is there some critical step with the CID or something I missed and I've completely screwed over the phone? The only thing I haven't tried is relocking the bootloader and flashing the stock RUU but I'm willing to try that if there's nothing else.
Anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

The AOSP ROM you flashed is for the international/AT&T/T-mobile version. I'm guessing you need the CDMA(Sprint) AOSP ROM.
---------- Post added at 11:34 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:25 AM ----------
As long as you can get into recovery I would try to wipe then install a new ROM meant for the sprint version. If not the RUU should def fix your problem.

Have you tried going back to a stock Rom calling sprint on another phone and have them re provision your device? That's what I have done in the past when that happened on my gs3. Try that before you go through all that hassle with relocking and Ruu.
Your s-off no need to relock the bootloader. Sounds like Your APN's are messed up.

Well, it seems to magically be getting data again. I guess I freaked out too soon - but I've had this problem with another HTC phone so I was expecting the worst. If it happens again, I'll try what you suggested Jahspree, thanks.
Benny3 - Is there any way to mess with those on a Sprint phone? I'm used to doing it with AT&T, but I don't see any option on this one.

which ROM are you using.
Hey guys. I just bought my HTC One (via Sprint) a few weeks ago and decided today to root my device.
I followed the youtube videos to a tee and got the device rooted. When I tried to flash a ROM is when I ran into issues...
I first tried Maximus HD 21 - but in my haste, upon installation, I didn't realize it said International One (Where I supposedly needed Sprint). The installation continued but once I rebooted the device it became stuck at the HTC Splash screen. Is there a chance that by running this "International" ROM, it permanently ****ed up my cell phone's radio signal/other aspects?
After that failed, I then wiped all caches/dalvik caches and tried the Bad Boyz ROM. No luck here either. I've tried a few others (insertcoin), to no avail. I made sure these were compatible with Sprint, but still I get stuck on the splash screen. Occassionally, when I get through to the phone itself, my mobile data won't become recognized, and the phone will reboot itself randomly.
Please help me. I'm at my wits' end. I've tried everything I know how to do. I've been trying to flash a stock ROM just to get it back to working order, but I can't figure out which one to use.
Any advice at all is welcome!
tl;dr - Not bricked, but not in working order. Need a working ROM for a Sprint HTC One. Please assist!
