Incognito mode to keep personal data secure. Looks Good

This is a great idea. I wonder if it will be more effective than using apps that strip permissions?
Currently I have an app that can strip permissions/ads permanently by rebuilding the apk with those permissions and ads removed and reinstalling a custom modified version of the app instead.
Nice idea

I think incognito mode is to prevent apps from snooping on you and not the NSA
Tried Incognito on a early CM build. First of all, NO, it does not prevent the NSA from snooping data. That happens on the website's servers and not on your device.
Secondly, incognito mode, just emulates that you have no contacts, pictures, calendar appointments etc. This for those apps, like facebook, which check the above mentioned stuff and push back to their servers for "data" resource. This is also a great way to prevent those malware loathed apps.
Hats off to Steve and the CM team for this.
It is a regressed version of cm7 permission manager
In other word it sucks. Might as well use pdroid then. Then you can manage everything even imei spoof.

Try it out if you want too. Activate it in settings>apps>[insert app you want incognito status in]

How did you remove your Google account?
It's impossible without a factory reset.

Settings>Accounts>Google Account >Sync menu>Options>Remove Account
It is possible.

Yeah you are right,i thought it was impossible cause in earlier android versions it was impossible.
About your issue try uninstalling Google play service and playstore than clear data, reboot and let it update itself again.

Slightly general question regarding the XDA Premium app but I don't receive any notifications, when someone quotes me for example. I'm on the latest ASOIP rom and Hellscore kernel.
It seems someone from the HTC One M8 forum is having the same issue:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/push-notifications-xda-premium-tapatalk-t3118398/post61075079
Essentially my question is, what;s the best app to get notifications from XDA on our Nexus 6, without having the check the web version each time?
Tapatalk works great. It's what I use and I get notifications
Tapatalk is massively unreliable for many, due to the APIs not really being maintained on XDA (works great on other forums). I've seen many threads about Tapatalk.
I think email notifications may be the best right now.

Is it possible to enable email notifications of post quotes? Forgive me if I am missing an obvious setting, though I can only seem to see options to:
Receive Email from Administrators
Receive Email from Other Members
Receive Friendship Request Email
Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages
"...receive email notification of new replies to that thread.."
Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages
The main notification I want is when quoted, if possible!

It's got nothing to do with which app you are using. XDA is just not consistent/reliable in notifications when someone quotes you. I have this same problem, whether I'm on my N6, using XDA Premium app, or on my computer using Chrome. It works OK for a couple of weeks, then (for no apparent reason) it stops working for a few days, followed by hit & miss notifications, then it'll start working again.

Good. Though for most of us, this doesn't happen. Thats why we're saying its unreliable
Tapatalk Pro works fine for me and I haven't missed anything so far, the XDA
(Premium) app is terrible imo.
