I have been compiling simple roms for a while now and I'm working up to hopefully giving back to the community. I don't know too much about it all but I'm learning. I want to disable software rendering and don't know how currently, could anyone help me?

Hi guys just wondering if it will be possible to port the nexus s rom to the galaxy. From what I can tell the hardware is pretty much exactly the same. I'm definitely willing to donate for this and will organise everyone else to I'm sure there are lots of people interested

This question has been asked several times already
theres a thread with ~200 replies that discusses this in general section.
Hi guys I know this seems pretty far fetched but is anyone willing to develop a port of the GB MIUI to the Bionic? If its POSSIBLE why hasn't anyone done it? If it isn't possible why can't it be done? I'm still trying to understand why no one's attempted this task since it has been the most popular rom up to date and it seems like MIUI4ever has just dropped off the face of the earth as of late. while i'm a big fan of InSaNeMoD's attempt to port it properly i'm seriously missing my OG Droid for my MIUI rom.
I could try porting it, no guarentees though!

I've wondered why no one did this first to begin with! Want a fully working rom other than eclipse and liberty. They both look similar and all other roms have the same issues making them unfit to be my daily driver as much as I want them to be.

Again, not development.
Please use the correct subforum.
I would like to start developing roms and apps. How do I get started? I have experience coding in Java and C but I assume Linux is much tougher. Can anyone hook me up with the resources I need? Tutorials? Tips?

If you want to start making roms, you should start here: http://xda-university.com/
I'm also just new into this and it's really usefull.
Happy to see more people trying to get into developing, especially when it's for the vivid

moved to Q&A, please don't start a thread in development areas unless you are actively developing.
I know there are a lot of people that want MIUI for the HTC ONE. Unfortunately, The One has lost the voting for official support, prior to the GS4, and it appears that the miui rom that was being ported is at a standstill....does anyone have any information indicting there is progress on it anywhere?
No I am not asking an ETA and I have great respect for the devs that do it, as I know I am unable to, I am simply curious.
Curiosity killed the cat..
Adyscorpius used to do all the stuff about porting miui to One, but he stopped because he is busy right now and thanks to him giving support up to now. There is a thread coming up to R17 update. You can find it under android development section.
So as of now we are somewhat at a standstill?

i think yes. nobody is dealing with it now and miui for one official porting has lost as you said. So we wait.
You can download miui launcher on play store

I'm personally not the best at doing such.... But honestly in going to try and learn on this one a bit more in depth please to anyone who has a more in depth knowledge I truly want to learn it's my dream. If i can take part in the development of my favorite OS on my Favorite phone I'd be the happiest. Thanks again

Even stock CM is better than the Samsung firmware imo. I hope it goes well.
