Built my first ROM and here it is...
Purpose: A light ROM that ensures good battery life...

Features:
Based on V10B (2.2) EUR
Rooted + Busybox + Superuser
App2SD + Dalvik on Ext Partition
Deoxed
ZipAligned
mik_os kernel
Removed LGHome, Layars, News and Weather, NDrive, Music ... Added Launcher Pro & latest Music App (v3.0.336)
Nexus Boot Animation
Slightly modified switcher icons (From Darksky theme)
Known Bug(s): None
Performance: (for v0.8 .... will update v1 values later ... Battery backup will be same)
- Quadrant Score: 473 (Stock Kernel ... No OC)
- Battery Life: 42 hours
------ Music with earphones 5 hours
------ Youtube videos (on wifi) 1 hour
------ 2G Data connection was on all the time
------ Voice Calls - 1hour 15mins , SMS: 45 IN, 12 OUT
------ Occasional Facebook and twitter updates
------ Total Screen On for 3hours 12mins (Minimum brightness always)
------ Data Sync always on (Enhanced Email set to Push mail for corporate email conn)

Installation Instructions:
1. Boot into recovery
2. Partition SD Card: Swap 0 ext:512
3. Ext2 to ext3
4. Wipe everything
5. Connect to comp using USB mode and transfer the zip file to SD Card
6. Flash ZIP
7. Reboot (Note that the first boot will take a super long time ~4mins)

I'm sorry but this is like the 3rd light build ... you gotta make it way different so ppl can get attached to it

@citizen-erase ... no issues mate ... this the the rom i made for myself so that i can switch between gb n something bugfree ... every rom u see out there can be replaced by Void (with diff modules enabled or disabled) ... so not trying get thousands of ppl to like it ... just sharing my work

Just kitchen tricks ... only intention here was to get rid of lg apps that run in background even though they arent being used ... other apps n widgets remain untouched cos they cause no harm unless being used .... so this is pretty close to stock, only optimised ...

could you provide any screenshot?

You will have to do lot more than kitchen tricks so that people use and appreciate ur work. Removing stock app is easy buddy any one who is flashing roms will know how to do it with rooted uninstaller.
If u want ur rom to go places than put in a kickass ui, put latest wpa_supplicant (to start with), put all media codecs in the world made for armv6, improve speed, may be find all the lib .so made for our device put it in, may be adobe flash (to much to ask) etc etc than ur talking.
Ofcourse others rom has bugs they are compiling 4GB of code if not more.
Start with putting screenshots.

Thats quite a nice performance.(Although I got confused at first with your description. Maybe you wanna indent everything under Battery life just to make it clear.) Was the tests done with only the ROM, or did you use another kernel with it?

Thanks .. Both tests (Quadrant and Battery) done with Stock kernel ... No overclock ... Indented to make it less confusing

you only mentioned 2 apps that you removed(from stock I presume). Is that everything you removed?

^ Yes, for now I have removed only those two apps ... Want to check what other apps keep popping up in the task manager before removing them ...

i think ur rom has a fantastic battery life, but i realised that the RAM is very low. are u sure u zipaligned properly? :O

whoa ... didnt know anyone was still using this ROM ... yes, it is zipaligned just fine ... I never encountered issues with low RAM ... thanks

[ROM] Sense 3.5 based port (2.3.5)

This is a sense 3.5 port for HTC Legend from the same dev team who ported MIUI, Lewa and so many other ROMs for HTC Legend. Credit goes to them. This ROM is still not fully functional and yes there are some bugs and Chinese parts.
Everything works except for WiFi and Bluetooth. Interface is super smooth and fast. Hope Devs from our forum can fix the bugs and make this fully functional. Give it a try if you are a sense lover. Hit the thanks button if i helped

This ROM has some features of sense 4. But have to wait and see

rom sucks because it has been stripped of most of the htc sense like gallery browser certain widgets its like useing cm7 with a special theme

Its way to smooth... awesome work team..
all we want is that WiFi n Bluetooth working. Its like a dream come true for my legend...

Really Nice Rom!!! Smooth and everything, have not had any random Fc's of any app or from another task. What I really miss is the wifi since right now I dont have a data plan, but let us hope it gets fix soon. Thanks to the developers on this.

This is my second day of using this fabulous ROM. I have observed below issues apart from WiFi and Bluetooth problem which has already been reported :
1. Play store crashes.
2. Chinese language not fully converted to English on many screens.
3. Calculator app resolution needs correction
4. Sense gallery and browser required
5. Camera app gets stuck when clicked on preview
6. Sense music widget is missing
Hoping for dev team to join their hands to improve this wonderfull ROM.

MARKET FIX !!!!!!!
Play store/market problem can be resolved.
just flash the gapps.sign in using your gmail[if you already done just skip it].install the titanium back up and remove the playstore/market.install the moded version http://www.MegaShare.com/4199830 [you can use the normal version too ]
after that wipe data and convert the playstore/market to system app.
for me its working ,check it and tell me its working or not....

One more issue is that music player glitches while playing music and unlocking the device or opening other apps.

Hi,
I'm interested in fixing the wifi for this but logcat does not work, which makes it hard for me to find what the problem is. In my research I've found that the dev needs to enable debug or logging in the kernel for logcat to work, so I was just wondering if you were able to do this.
EDIT: Swapped the boot.img for ogo2's. Enables logcat but brings with it more problems Won't stop bootlooping.

in the boot.img with ramdisk maybe no adb to support。it can add in
but we also have the wifi modules and the kenerl for sense 3.5。 may be have the libhardware_legacy.so to 。 I have this files 。 if you want ，you can Gmail me 。I sent to you [email protected]

Hello developers.
I am using my n7000 with the latest stock rom, but there are many issues with it. It starts with a lot of problems with my bluetooth car radio:
- sometimes it is connecting automaticaly and sometimes not, sometimes just with phone, sometimes with an call and playing the audio via call
-i cannot disable the stock mp3 player (i want to use mortplayer ) :-\
-the mp3 players and video players can sometimes not play any file :-\ i have to reboot
-sometimes apps are crashing and so on
It is the worst experience i have with android so far :-\
Maybe anyone have a solution for these issues, if not maybe some can propose another rom that works without these errors.
Important are in this case :
-full landscape support even in the first screens
-android 4 or higher
- fast an safe
- energy saving
- with all of the n7000 spen features
Maybe with an working instruction to flash this rom

Hi there, if you like the Stock feel there are a number or ROMs which have Stock functionality with better overall performance. Criskelo ROM and Chrack ROM are 2 excellent examples.
If you need help rooting your device, read this - http://rootgalaxynote.com/category/galaxy-note-root/
It has a video tutorial which I found to be excellent.
Criskelo and Chrack (I prefer Chrack ROM personally) are both excellent and should restore your faith in Android.

Ripper Rom Text Message Problem

Hi
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post but I flashed the Ripper Rom with Aroma options.
Since then I have a strange text message problem. Basically I can receive messages fine, but any message from anyone starts a new message chain. I'll be texting someone several times over the course of 30 minutes and every message I receive starts a new message thread/chain instead of putting it in an existing text message thread with my response.
I hope that makes sense.
Does anyone have any idea of what could be the issue?
Oh and this happens on the default message app and on messenger metro.

I had that problem 2 a while a go. Dont remember wich rom and version though... U should ask in the RipperRom forum, they probably know how to fix it... Until then u can try selecting another sms app in aroma options (if there is one...) or download a sms app from market...

I tried posting there originally but I can't post in the development section until I have 10 posts and I don't want to spam a load of topics just to get access there, as I figured people really wouldn't appreciate that!

Actually i dont know what they did... Its probebly the sms app that needs 2 be fixed. Maybe u must wait 4 a new version or try some other roms. I use pandoriam and dont have that problem. U could try search the forum 4 a fixed sms app and flash it through cwm. Good luck

I've just tried GoSMS and it's working fine there, so I'm wondering if my favoured messaging app just needs a fresh install or if it's a problem that would require an update or a rom to finish.
I'm not a huge fan of GoSMS so I'm still hoping to be able to fix the issue but in the meantime until someone else pitches in or I figure it out it will do.

I think you may be using the AOSP styled mms app. It seems to be a little buggy that mms and can cause that to happen, so I was thinking of removing it next update. It doesn't happen with the stock mms app but just the modded aosp styled

I don't know if it is the same but my gf had this problem on Slim JB on i9000 she fixed it by changing the time and date settings of all things!
I think she unchecked 'let network automatically select date and time' and set it manually.
Maybe try that and play around with date and time settings.
It sounds random but it might work

[ROM] [MIUI JB] Fully working

MIUI 2.10.12 ported from MIUI Passion.
I spent a fair lot of time trying to find the best MIUI so suit our HTC. And trying different methods for diffing and mods, from 2.9.21 til 3.1.11, porting from crespo, maguro, passion, P500 etc. This is the only version i could get to have most of the features working.
Since i don't ask for any contribution or donation, so for whoever is not happy with it, don't use but don't criticize my work trying to find reasons why not to use it.
A thanks is enough if think it worth.
If you want to change it, modified it, and so on, do it, no permission needed.
I'm not a full (probably not even partly) developer so i won't be able to answer to your questions on a daily basis.
Use it at your own risk
Flashing instructions:
Wipe Data
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvik
Install
Reboot
Working:
- Everyrthing that works in CM10 - on top headset icon works too
- themes, lockscreen and all that
Not Working:
- torch, use from store
- you may find, i didn't yet
Hints:
- If have issues turning wifi on, put it in Airplane mode, try turning on then reboot
- if laggy long press home button to clear memory
- CPU control via toolbox app

Different port, camera working, don't need to create any theme folder. Otherwise, try both and see.

Hi, on MIUI all apps are on the screen(s), no apps menu. T'hat's how MIUI works (if this is what you asked for). You can put icons on top of each other and this will create a folder icon with all apps you want to group and you can name it i.e apps. When installing a new app, an icon on the screen will be created automatically
If you ask about managing apps, it is in settings like usual (choose full settings to display, not common settings)

This one is better, by quite a bit. It's way more usable. I've noticed better battery life and faster keyboard input as compared to zeubea's CM10...
no bugs so far, i'll report if i find any. (apart form the system space which is next to empty)

but how can we get 512MB RAM???? and we can't have enough free ram.. just around 30mb?

Hey thanks for this great rom. I have asked a friend to try this rom out since she has a htc legend and I don't. She is very happy with the rom but she reported back two problems.
1. wifi does not turn on (this began to happen right after she setup an APN for her gprs network) (also she tried putting the phone in airplane mode.. turning the wifi on and then rebooting.. didnt work)
2. vpn doesnt seem to be working anymore. is this the case for everyone else also?

Hi,
Yes, the memory shown under "About phone", "RAM and "Total" is wrong. The "Available" figure is accurate for both internal and SD card. These totals are coming from ported

Is there a fix for the wifi issue?

Everything indeed works.Great rom.
Lockscreen will be laggy if not changed to one without spectrum. Rest seems to work good, if not better than on other roms. Testing battery life atm.
