Had they have read the sticky to begin with they wouldn't have needed to ask at all, especially about the most common things such as rooting.

[Q] How to root an Xperia TX???

So yea, I'm looking everywhere on how to root an Xperia TX. I admit I'm a bit of a noob but I just want to root my phone. I previously had an Optimus One and I successfully rooted that and applied a custom recovery loader along with a custom ROM aswell so I'm not a complete noob.
Every where I look, the website is either not reliable or the guide is for the Xperia T or V. I'm a little worried about following an Xperia T guide so I just wanted to ask what would be best to do or if anyone has a guide that they can link me to?
Thanks in advance.
I have to say, I am really enjoying the community even though this is my first time posting.

First.
Remove the mention of the app from the OP. Any mention of warez etc is banned from xda.
Secondly.
Just follow the instructions to root.
If you are on newer firmware 195 or 223 then flash a TX firmware that is 303 (Or equivalent)
Then use bin4rys method to root, then the method to update back to newer firmware whilst keeping root. Its all in that thread.
Same for me, it wasn't clear in that thread.

You just saved me and my phones life I just ordered a TL29i and it will arrive next week. First order of business is to root! Do these come with a locked bootloader? I know Sony has a website to unlock it for "developers."
It depends, I would have asked the people I was getting it from before you ordered it... Beyer hope it is otherwise there is no unofficial way to unlock yet

How do I customise the signature on xda premium app?

Did you ever get your LT29i (TX) rooted successfully? Just un-boxed mine and charging it before I even try rooting it. Any tips or advice on reading through all those threads?

@ OP
You shouldn't try it yourself i.e. you shouldn't get it done by the tools available for download.
You may end up with a first-class paperweight.
But (yes there is a but) you can get it unlocked by paid methods from electronics stores. Some members have done that and have succeeded.
And after you have read this post, go in front of the mirror and say "<INSERT YOUR NAME HERE>, you shall not hold any XDA-ian responsible for any damage caused to your phone. You took this decision yourself. They did not influence you in any way." And even if you don't I think members here are willing to testify against any allegation towards XDA regarding your phone's status.

Help an Xperia Newbie...

Hi guys, just received my Z1s yesterday and I'm enjoying the phone itself so far, but I'm more used to Nexus, & Samsung devices, so I'm a little lost. I did hear the bootloader is locked down on this phone but is there a way for me to gain root at least so I can at least use apps like Titanium backup, n stuff??

Out there are 2 ways only how to root your Z1, both are for Locked Bootlader. 1 best way is here step by step, page 2, Post #16 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588331&page=2 or NUT method here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2572988
Good Luck.

Z1s - Need its own thread?

Does anyone think the Z1s should have its own thread or at least sub-category?
Just a thought.
It's the same exact phone but with a locked bootloader and most likely not much development, so no I don't think it needs its own subforum

I guess I meant more towards its own accessory forum. Much like the LG-G2 Verizon has its own.

This was not confirmed yet by any Developer so wait until then, do not risk to brick you phone, the solution will come soon.

I already tried. It doesn't work just like how you cannot .290. I doubt you can downgrade to a Z1 firmware.

Not to mention the entitlement attitude of the OP. Sure, just come into XDA and demand they provide you something. That's how it works.
