OK so I hope someone's gonna be able to help me on that one. Phone isn't rooted, nor bootloader unlocked. Ever since the 4.2 update it is behaving rather strangely, let me explain:
Let's say my phone is at like 30/35% (my battery is always around that when it's happening), and like I'm going to browse the news on Feedly (what I was doing the last time it happened a few days ago) or watch a YouTube video of 4 minutes (what I was doing 10 minutes ago when it happened again and my phone was at 30% just before that) and all of a sudden my battery is going to drop dead to 0% and the phone is going to shut itself off.
In the case of Feedly I locked my phone after I finished using the app and when I turned it on about 3 minutes after that I got the warning and the phone shut down, in the case of Youtube I went back to my homescreen after the video ended, dismissed a few apps via multitasking and then I got the waring and it shut off.
I can't figure out what's going on honestly, so does anyone have an idea or should I email Sony directly?
Thanks.
I think you have some of this:

And how should I do that ? I know how to do it when I can get in the recovery, but not when it's not rooted or such. I'm also not planning to root it either.
Nevermind ! Found an app! Thanks!
:sigh: You can't calibrate the battery. Delete that app, it's crap. Charge your phone a few times and it will go away itself.

Ok :/
Normally it's pretty easy when you can get in the recovery , only don't want to do that just yet.

I hope it does go away, else I'm going to flash CWM.
I haven't seen anything mentioned about this, can someone that has the phone confirm that this can be removed and replaced by a long press of the back key.
Thanks

I must admit, I do not understand the purpose of removing the hardware capacitive Menu button. I'll be find without the Search button, but not having the Menu will be an adjustment.
The One X didn't have it at first.. im sure it will come with a update later on if its not on its final software..
Not Sure what happened on your side, but preety sure the settings is already presented atleast on pre-release firmware version 1.26.xxx.x
Even on that day Feb 19, because those early birds who tested One already mention about how all capative button works.

If htc have removed that from the final firmware then that would be a deal breaker for me and i would look for another phone.

I appreciate that if there is a fix it would probably require rooting which would be a definite no for me... why htc why!!

Well OK then my answer:
No, the juice in your battery has nothing to do with the flash process.
But keep in mind that you should have enough power. so your device doesn`t turn off during flashing.

There is no set minimum battery percentage you need to ensure a successful flash. As long as the battery doesn't die halfway through the flash all is good. Some people recommend 60% or even 80% because you know for sure that the battery won't die during the flash if the charge is that high. But I reckon even 20%, 30% is safe, unless you have a really old worn out battery that discharges really fast.
If you're below the "safe minimum" you can always keep the charger plugged in during a flash...
There isn't a minimum battery level needed, but if you dont have much battery left, your mobile can shut off and can lead into a bootloop

then after some time your phone will start to boot normally

Have you tried the reset button, besides the SIM&SDCard slots?
Clicking it will shake the mobile once and reset, doing a 5 seconds long press it will maybe perhaps shake it thrice and have a nice ultra mega plus blaster reset. :cyclops:

khamees_xi, is your phone under warranty still?
Sounds like a dead battery, had a similair thing with my Xperia S, it was covered under warranty
And keep in mind if it's not covered under warranty it still won't be a expensive repair if it's battery related compared to a display replacement(nightmare).

its not your last hope,
you still have the DIY option:
open the back plate (see the Xperia Z Screen Replacement video in youtube on how to, just need the initial 3 steps),
try to disconnect the battery flex cable, then plug the usb cable to pc, if it enters fastboot, then battery is not flat, ITS DEAD.
order a replacement battery and order the Xperia Z Waterproof adhessive.
FIRST TRY TO GET WARRANTY xD its way better!!
I had this problem already, about 1 weeks ago. Same condition that you are describe before.
I just use my PC companion and then the problem fixed :victory:

hahaha I told ya I tried every possible solutions but all of them failed
@wwaleed.. it happened for me a time ago in Xperia S ,and it's fixed by a silly answer found in forumforpages.com
first.. remove your SIM Card and then plug in the charger and once the red light appears ,disconnect it and do the same for 5-6 times continuously ,and the 7th plug it in and leave it for 5-10 minutes.. if the LED color changed to green/blue (whatever) ,try holding the power button to boot the phone.
i know it feels silly.. but it worked for me after update failure ,just give it a try before sending it to warranty

Hey Guys,
I recently dropped my Htc One down the stairs. After the first contact with the stairs it bumped up again, rotated a few times, bumped up again and so on. After 30 steps it stopped jumping around.
I am using a protection ( http://www.amazon.de/dp/B00BNAJ926/ref=cm_sw_r_an_am_ap_am_de?ie=UTF8) and theres no visible damage and at first i thought that there were no issues resulting.
Yesterday i wanted to take a picture in a low lit room an saw something like a blue fog.
I was abled to reproduce it and i attached a few pics where you can see it.
My question is, if other people are having the same issue after a drop or maybe even without dropping it.
Using GE Rom 4.3 on Htc One Europe with unlocked bootloader , CWM Recovery and radio 3.4.10-ge22f38b.
Also tried with RUU and locked bootloader and the problem is still there.

unfortunately a lot of people are having this issue which is not related to dropping the phone.
If the photos are normal in regular lightning then you might have the same issue as all of the people on the following post:
