Can't get into recovery? - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So After Installing Revolt Rom for awhile. I noticed I can never see the sony Logo and can never get into the cwn recovery mode. So I decided to Flash cwn again but now I'm stuck on cwn with no way of getting into adb mode no more as The device can't be seen. What am I doing wrong as I can't use my phone no more -.-. Hope for some help as this is doing my head in. Also my vibration is faulty as it stopped working for awhile also.

If I was you just reload stock ftf and exclude data wipe in flashtool

Problem is I can't access my phone as it stuck on the cf load with the 10 second restart. I can't even go back on bootloader mode some reason.

You phone won't even reboot when holding down power and volume up button for 30 seconds and you should hard reboot
Is you phone locked or unlocked bootloader
Sent from my C6603 using xda premium

Yeah I did a hard reboot for 30 seconds and still does the same.
My phone is unlocked bootloader.

So are you stuck in cwm and can't get out, holding the power and vol up should reboot you phone
Edit: did your phone reboot
Sent from my C6603 using xda premium

Yeah I have with hard reboot or even rebooting. Still stuck on cwn . It was smooth last time. Been looking around for a solution and noting yet -.-

If your phone does reboot then you can reload ftf with flashtool thought flashmode
Plug phone into computer and get flashtool prepaired with stock and then when it says put phone in flashmode hold power and vol up for 10 seconds release and then move your fingure so it holds down volume down this will put your phone into flashmode when phone reboots and flash tools will reload stock
TICK EXCLUDE DATA otherwise you will loose you data

Ok thanks I'll see I can do this once I work on it tonight thanks!

Well I've retool and did what you've told me. Now I'm stuck on boot sync where the rainbow waves keep showing non stop only.

Is it wise to flash the 253 ftf though?

That is a system error what ftf did you flash
What you can now do is flash dooms v9 via fastboot and then load up cwm and install custom rom, the new .244 roms are not compatible with v9 just to keep that in mind
Sent from my C6603 using xda premium

I've got the unbranded australia version

10.3.1.A.0.244 MD5: C091A2CD679275326FBD3351FBF772CE
Guess I better not flash dooms v9 then as it's not compatible as you said.

Does this mean I should Flash the outdated version and just get it working with v9? As there isn't other solution?

Just download another ftf files to use other one might not of downloaded properly/ corrupt file
as long as it is global/generic and as near to your location

Well thanks for your help as it finally working through 254 ftf but my data lte or 3g doesn't work at all now. I changed my apn and data roaming on and still not working. As I remember from the flash tool log, 03/011/2013 15:11:44 - WARN - This file is ignored : simlock.ta . Is this the problem?

That is fine you are meant to exclude that file while building the ftf file, have you downloaded you settings yet go to settings >Xperia > Internet settings

When you connected the phone in flash mode(vol Down+usb) did you installed the drivers?
Usually when you click on flash with flashtool and you select the firmware, you have to wait till the pop up tells you to connect the phone.

[Q] Soft brick or Hard BRICK?[Solved]

Ok so I was attempting to flash this Rom through CWM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2180208
I had flashed my XZ C6603 already with this Rom so I know that it works correctly.
Anyways I decided to reflash my phone, did all the wipes through CWM before flashing my phone. While attempting to flash my phone the status kept hanging @ "formatting device", it took too long, specially compared to the first time I flashed the device, so I decided to abort (restart).
Now the phone won't go pass the Sony logo, turned the device on and off already, but that didn't help.
I downloaded Flashtool v0.9.10.1, but the thing is that when I hook up my phone to my computer, my phone isn't even being seen, so when I start Flashtool, it just says "31/021/2013 17:21:25 - INFO - Device disconnected".
Is there any way to restore this, or does this mean RMA?

I bricked my XZ :(

Please help guys. I tried flashing ROM using the instructions on the front page for locked bootloader and my phone froze on formatting /system, I restarted phone and it is just stuck on Sony. I have tried holding power and volume up it does nothing except restart the device. My PC won't recognise it to do any repairs. Any ideas?
Keep pressing vol up + power for 15 sec till the phone shutdown.

Download flashtool from development section, and an ftf stock firmware.
Put the ftf file in flashtool/firmware folder.
Install xperia z drivers, you find it in flashtool/drivers
Click on flash, choose the ftf and wait the the pop up telling you to connect your phone by holding volume down and connecting the usb.

Sounds to me like you haven't flashed the kernel required for 4.2.2 (I am presuming you were on a stock/custom Sony ROM before)
If you flash 4.2.2 you also need to flash the kernel specific to the ROM you've tried to flash using fastboot commands.
To do that you need to have the correct XZ drivers installed, and have adb/fastboot working

rebooted.

Tried to turned it on but it only vibrates.
Did I brick my phone?
