Random MMS being put into conversations - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

So lets say i send Bob an MMS, a picture of my cat for example, at some point and usually often the picture i sent bob becomes a draft in an unrelated message. This gets really annoying. I wan't to send a quick text to Steve, but the picture i sent to bob has been inserted into the body of the message to steve.
I can't be the only one, this happened with stock rom from launch, the update that followed and now a custom rom. It's goofy and irritating.

WM 6.1 and group (multiple recipient) txt msg burden

I've come across an burdening issue sending a txt with multiple recipients. Though the grouped chat style text messaging is an incredible advantage, there are some cons and i'm wondering if they can be fixed somehow.
Because of the chat style text messaging, your first outgoing message gets coped to your inbox. Is there any way for the first outgoing message to NOT be copied to your inbox?
This poses an issue for when you are sening a mass/group text message. For example, if i send out "Happy New Year" to 50 people in one text, i get 50 outgoing copies in my inbox.
Suggestions?
It doesnt really get copied, The threaded sms app just shows that you started a conversation with those recipients. I do see what your saying though, and i guess it can get somewhat annoying having all those open conversations in your inbox, BUT now you only have those 50 or so threads in your inbox as opposed to (like me) thousands of messages to scroll through. Plus as an added benefit you can see who replied in an orderly fashion. I for one would like the option to turn sms threading on/off, but I guess this is progress...

Well as much as i love it, i would like to see that the program doesn't show the started conversation on the first initial text message. It should show it when they reply. This would solve the group text messaging issue

If it's even something that can be edited... might be part of the program's code.
I'd like to be able to move the messages into another folder but cant seem to find out a way to do it as the option isnt highlighted

Queued SMS messaging

hi all,
i travel on the underground trains a lot, and sometimes its the only time i get to write / reply to text messages.
however when i click send all i get it "SMS CANNOT BE SENT" message and it gets saved in my drafts. then i have to remember later to re-send them.
is there not a way that we can queue the messages in our outbox so that the phone immediately sends when it gets reception?
my old phones used to do this but it seems newer ones dont..
many thanks!
just wanted to ask if people understand what i mean? i found a similar topic to this form last year with no replies also.
my old HTC (200mhz windows mobile 5) had no issues with this, so may be this is just a registry fix... ?
There is an easy way to do this...
type all the message in ur Tube Train
once all the messages are there in your drafts, go into your drafts folder, select all the messages and click menu>move and move it to outbox. Once your phone will get the reception sms will automatically go
Regards,
Vishal
see but this is the problem, if i do not have reception already then sms get automatically moved from the outbox back to the drafts folder.
i know you are trying to be helpful but i want it to do something different!
imagine this, you are on the tube, then you get off and make your way through the crowds up to the street level onto a crowded busy street where just standing in one place would be in somebodys way.. so i walk to where i have to get to and immediately once i am there the client will be asking me questions or i will be working to make a good impression for us..
it leaves little time, and by the time i would remember i would already be at home wondering why i havnt had a reply!
someone must know where to point me to find an answer?? i cant be the only one!
i've asked on a few more windows forums to see if anyone knows. ive also had a look through the registry myself to see if there is anything obvious which there isnt..
i'll keep posting back with my findings.
I really understand what you mean. That little thing keeps annoying me too, most of the times I believe I've sent the message but I haven't, leading me to missunderstandings.
My old Nokia n70 didn't have any problems with that....sometimes I miss that phone so much!
Please write down here whatever you find...

I think your confused.. Im going to assume your trying to send a picture and it says its too large so its converting it to an mms right?
Actually, he's right. On my G1 when I hit so many characters (usually by the end of the 3rd set of 160) it changes to MMS. The reason it does this is so the network can better handle the message. Sending as 3 seperate texts would take more time for the network to submit, store, and resend, than 1 MMS message would.

No he isnt confused, when you sent a text that goes over a certain amount of characters it converts it into a mms, i dont think you can stop it from converting it but what you can do is send multiple text massages under the conversion limit
Oh okay, so there is nothing I can do about it?
Not really no. Just when you get to a certain limit and the counter appears showing how many characters you have left, just send it, and start on the next one
Send shorter messages, send an email or IM...
SMS converts to MMS when it gets 3 messages long..it has a character count so stop right before it converts and send it and continue in a new text
ok you want to rid this problem but i would like my tilt to do this aoutmaticly, any way?
Yeah, download HandCent SMS application. It will solve this application.

[Q] sony xperia tl message settings?

Hey all! I recently got my new Xperia tl from att. One thing I have yet to find is a message limit to convert SMS messages to mms messages. All of my other phones I've owned would either automatically change SMS messages to mms messages after say like 5 pages were written, or you could select the type of message. The reason why I ask is when a message is like 5 pages long the person in talking to usually gets 5 messages but they almost never come in the right order so its like trying To put a puzzle of messages together! Haha. So is there any way to set a limit to.change the message type after the text gets to certain length? Thanks all!
I think that a five message long could be divided with a few Full Stops. Or send a email, better I think for such a long message.

You could use a third party mms message app.
Now that you have asked your QUESTION and I have ANSWERED it, can you recognise which section this thread should have been posted in?
Thread moved. Please post all your questions here in Q&A in future.
Thanks
