battery voltage - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

I have xperia T (AT&T version) ; when my battery is 100% charged and check voltage (plugged to AC charger), it shows 4.02 or 3.98 V and when i unplug my phone from charger it shows 3.6 ,3.4 and sometimes 3.45 V; phone turns off when i open menu or some applications; battery percentage changes frequently; it drops to 85% and after some time it shows 92% and phone restarts or turns off very frequently; no software update helped ; is this battery faulty?
thanks;

Yes, you need new battery.

[Q] Tegrak 100% battery charge?

Hey all,
Noob question. I recently went to JVP (doc kitchen) and tried out multiple kernels (speedmod, fugu, tegrak). I only noticed this issue after going to tegrak's kernel so suspect it's kernel related.
The issue I'm having/suspect is that after "100% charge" the battery would start to be consumed (even if it is plugged in). This is most noticeable if I'm at my desk at work all day (phone on charge) or when I leave my phone charging overnight. When I disconnect to go home/go to work, I can see the battery is at 85% or similar (as if the phone wasn't on charge). If I was to disconnect it as soon as it hit "100%" it'll be at 96/97/98% as expected.
I'm not an expert and logcat confuses the heck out of me to be honest, but would anyone know what strings I can search for to determine if the phone "stops charging" when it hits 100%? I'd prefer it to be on a trickle charge (ie keep the battery at 96/97/98%) so that when I disconnect, I have a near full battery.
Is this a kernel issue? or a battery level calibration issue?
TIA

Please do this procedure and see... once u finish ur 2 or 3 cycle u'll get the result...
- Charge your battery full, bump charge to get the highest level possible ; note that it's not a big deal if it shows 97% when you unplug after bump-charging
- Drain your battery to 0% until it shuts down by itself (without plugging the charger or connecting the phone to a pc)
- Wait 2 minutes and reboot the phone to ensure the battery is completely flat (it might reboot fully, half way, not at all, don't worry) until it dies again
- Remove the battery and wait 2 minutes
- Replace the battery and plug the charger without switching the phone on until it shows 100%
- When phone shows 100%, boot in recovery (volume up + home + power) and go to > Advanced > Wipe Battery Stats > Confirm (move up/down using the volume keys)
- Reboot the phone and unplug the charger when the "battery full notification" comes (wait for the notification before you unplug the charger)
- Now use your phone until the battery is flat again and charge full (no need to have it turned off, unless you it to charge faster). Repeat 2 or 3 times and your battery will be calibrated
- Only wipe battery stats once, run a few cycles of full charge / discharge and after that just use your phone as normal (i.e. no need to deplete / charge fully anymore).

Battery problem HD7

Hello everyone ....
I have a problem with charging the battery on my HD7...
When I leave the phone on the charger overnight ... the morning shines green light 100% battery, but after a few minutes show a lower value ... eg 90%. During the day, the battery drain is normal.
When the phone on the charger during the day and when the battery is charged (quickly turns off the charger) ... there is no effect of the rapid discharge of the battery. The battery is drained properly.
I concluded that the charger charges the battery to 100%, and then turns off. The phone starts to use battery the rest of the night. The phone is still on the charger. I think that is not normal behavior of the phone. My Trophy has not worked in this way
I use Nextgen 2.0 rom. and battery status v4.1.0
I wonder, the battery is bad or the software or something else.
thank you

I solved the problem by buying a new charger

No need, look at the bottom of his post - he fixed the problem with a new charger.
I had similar problem, changed to new one.
when u leave the phone on the charger overnight, what happens is that th ephone fully charges. to 100 % and then the charger shuts off. but the phone runs on fthe battery especially if u have the radios or wifi on but the indicator thinks that its still on the charger ...but the wifi radios ect is using the power
when u unplug the phone, the battery drains down to actual level aka rapid draining
I think battery or charger should be the problem but probably battery. pretty cheap on ebay

Sony z1 charge stop at 5%.

Problem started yesterday, phone charge till 5% and than stop,it still says charging but its not.
try to get some battery apps to fix it and try a new cable...
Battery Fix
This is an issue with battery calibration (or so I assume).
What you will need to do is:
Leave the phone for at least 36 hours. Make sure that you keep the phone turned on for as long as possible.
Once you have left it for 36 hours, connect the charger and charge for a whole 10 hours.
Then, turn on the phone and it will possibly show that the battery is at 100%. If not, you need to install an app called CurrentWidget: Battery Monitor. It is available here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manor.currentwidget
This app will tell you the voltage/current stored in the battery. If the mAh of the battery is 3000 mAh when left charging for 10 hours, then you will need to do this:
Fully charge the battery with the phone for 5 hours and when the phone is fully charged, unplug the charger and turn it off.
When your phone is off, plug it into the charger and let it charge to 100% again. The green LED light will indicate when this is done.
Next unplug the charger, turn on your phone and set the option to ensure that your screen doesn’t turn off, if you have this option. Then reconnect to the charger and wait for it to charge again to 100%.
Once loaded to 100%, unplug the charger again and do not load until the smartphone turns itself off after reaching a 0% battery level. Once off, fully charge it again and it should work properly. The screen setting can put back to normal again (meaning turn off after a certain amount of time).
Hope this helped!

Samsung Galaxy S3 Sudden discharge (No battery drain issue)

Hi!
I'm having a problem whith a friend's S3 which I'm not being able to solve.
When the phone is not connected to the charger the battery lasts less than a few minutes being overly optimist.
He bought a new battery, and exactly the same happens.
If I try to charge it when it's turned off, the charging indicator flips between 100% and whatever number between 10 and 100%. So it goes like 100% - 30% - 100% - 31% - 100% - 32% . When it seems charged, I unplug it, try to turn it on, and WHEN IT DOES TURN ON, almost instantly the message "Battery low, connect charger" appears. Sometimes I can't turn it on if it's not connected to the charger.
I've tried rooting the phone, flashing an updated recovery which let me wipe the battery stats, but it didn't work.
Whith the phone rooted I tried whith some play store "Battery doctor apps", same results.
I can't seem to find the problem, any help would be really appreciated!
I have to add that I measured the battery charge with a multimeter and it reads 2.77V out of 3.8 , meaning it's 73% charged.
The phone won't turn on unless I connect it to the charger.

Question Battery Charging problem after recent update

I recently updated my phone to CPH2173_11_C.48 (April 2022 Security).
When the phone is on the fast charging shows but the battery % does not increase, in fact the battery drains when used.
The only way I can get it to charge is by first connecting the charger and then turning off the phone. After it starts charging (and the charging % increases), I can then turn the phone on and it charges properly even whilst using the phone to watch videos.
The only thing I have done recently is to update to the latest firmware.
Any ideas what the issue may be?
If you do the above process then unplug and plug straight back in, does the problem replicate?
Does it only happen below or above a certain battery%?
It happens on low and high battery %. If I unplug and then plug straight back the problem replicates
Noticed something a bit weird, I connected the phone to my PC and it is charging slowly (normal charge, not fast charge). When plugged into an outlet, it shows fast charging but the % does not go up (unless the phone is off).
Could this be a software issue with fast charging? Any way to fix other than to try factory reset?

The culprit looks to be fast charge at lower battery %. I can slow charge at lower battery with the phone on and fast charge at higher % ( around70% +). Whilst off, fast charge works at any % battery.
Could this be software or hardware issue. Problem persists even after factory reset.
