Hi again
I was searching for some good pair of earphones with mic and i found SONY MDR-EX110AP on ebay.
They are similar to mdr-ex 100lp in specs, I use these they sound great.
The inclusion of in-line mic would be great , so thinking of buying SONY MDR-EX110AP

Can you give the me specs like frequency response and dB/mW ?
How is bass and call volume ?
Can you compare it with any sony earphones in your experience ?
Never Buy Skullcandy/Bose/Beats.
Never buy anything from Skullcandy or any company of that sort. Their ear/headphones are just gimmicky and offer pathetic frequency-noise ratio. The bass is muddy, the mids are non-existant - case in point.
I use a pair of Sennheiser CX 175 and/or Sennheiser CX 300 II Precision. These are probably the best earphones one can get within 4k (65$)). You can read reviews over at Amazon and see that they are well worth the investment.
Read this and this and this and this and this to find out why audiophiles always stay away from Skullcandy.
Because i listen alot of vocal dubstep and music with a deep base i took those for my ZR - HA-FX3X. here are the specs if you need http://xtreme.jvc.com/spec.html - (scroll down abit).im prety satisfied with the sound quality and deep base
Sony MDR-EX 220LP is good.Good bass Nice fit.Good isolation.13.5mm driver unit.

I dont think that you have to buy very expensive hi fi headphones if you want use them only with xperia zr. Unless you do not connect an external usb sound card or at least an external amplifier, do not expect superior sound quality. I don't understand why Sony's former top phone like Z / ZR (= not cheap) cannot match to sound produced by Samsung S2/S3/S4 phones. Even tiny and cheap 'sansa clip zip' sounds much bettter than xperia z.
I can agree with akash4357 that Sennheiser CX 300 are really great in their price range.
I'm using the SONY MH-EX300AP which came with the Xperia Z in the box ,it's great for me
You can check it in Amazon and ebay

Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can recommend a good Bluetooth Stereo headset (max £50 although anything near the £30 mark would be a bonus).
I would prefer them to be discreet i.e. in ear as opposed to over the ears, and would need the ability to pause, skip etc. and if possible (but not essential) the ability to change the headphones.
Thanks in advance,
Fuzzmo.

Sony Ds-205. Best one I tried so far.
Motorla S9s are great and you can easily find them in that price range; if you can pitch in a bit more, the S9HDs are also nice (but more expensive).

Ok cool - does it allow you to pause, scan, and skip tracks?
I also heard about the Jabra BT3030 - has anyone tried these with the X1?
i prefer the SONY-Ericsson HBH-BS220.....
changable Headphones, good Battery life (8h for A2DP/more than 10h of talk time), battery display, excellent sound quality and a very good noise reduction and automatic volume management (gets louder if you are in a noisy area)..... but i use it with a pair of Audeo PFE headphones from Phonak (I work there ^^)
I have a Nextlink/Invisio G5 headset. I had this headset for about 2 years now. Good headset, small discreet and because I wear glasses, the in ear fit works best for me. Earloops sux for us glasses wearers! LOL For the pricetag of around 50 bux you cant go wrong. The only negative is that in high winds, the headset really doesn't work all to well, but for the price and style it works for me who uses the headset day to day in the car with the windows up.
I am looking into the Jawbone Prime headsets in the next few weeks. They are a bit pricy but being Jawbone, I may opt for it.

I'll investigate these a little further. Am tempted by the Jabra BT3030 or the DS-205 that Jack mentioned. Thanks to all who replied (although if there are more suggestions then feel free to list them).

Trust me. I tried many BT stereo headsets (Sony: DS-220,205,970,980, Clip D Radio, Jabra (forget what model) ..etc) and ONLY Sony's gives the best sound quality (sound quality among Sony's are similar). DS 220 and DS 205 are basically the same with pause, scan, and skip tracks support on 205 only. Jabra BT3030 is not 3.5mm jack which will give you headache in finding a good headphone.
And one added benefit on Sony's BT headset is you can charge while using it. (Other brands will stupidly turn off if you try to charge the battery).
DS-205 + EX500SL match your X1 nicely

The DS980 is not bad...but still it doesn't sound great. It's probably some sort of limitation with the bluetooth transfer rate, as it still sounds only decent after you replace the earbuds with some higher quality ones.
Also the Sony ones have NimH batteries as far as I remember and their battery life is pretty mediocre.
Of course if you're not after great sound quality...any of the ones above will do

Hehe I think you may well have persuaded me on the 205 (and it's £50 online) - out with the Credit Card - and thanks for the heads up on the Jabra, that is one thing a lot of people don't mention. Gonna pair these with my Denon AH-C700s (a bit old but burned in and give me a wonderful deep Bass - until I can save up for the Sennheiser IE8's!)

I am after the best sound quality my £50 budget would allow. If money wasn't and issue they'd be right up there as I am sure they'd sound great but they're more than a little out of my price range
EDIT: Hmmm £87 online - should I???? Arrrgggghhh!!!! More thinking to do.....
i use motorola s9 while running on the treadmill, works out nicely because it's light and doesn't squeeze your head

The ear buds are not replacable on the DS980 without major surgery, or did you just mean the rubber bits? DS980 does not have a 3.5mm jack. I have HBH-DS220 and are happy with it, I use it with some etymotic ER6i which are good too, as an added bonus they can be plugged directly into the x1 if you have forgotten to charge up the DS220 too, something else you cant do if your headphones are permantly attached to the BT headset.

Yeah I was talking about major surgery
Actually the ear buds seem to be pretty good because once wired, they produce excellent sound. Hence the conclusion that it's something with the bluetooth module that's limiting. It seems like it's limited to medium quality transfer rate or something.
Either way, I used the DS-980 for a year and had no issues with it. In terms of sound quality though, the one I posted simply beats them. Again, if excellent sound quality is not an issue, go with any of the ones scote suggested.
Need help
I have the choice between two headsets:
1. DS 980
2. DS 205
what is important to me, is compatibility with X1 and battery life
Hello people from the planet earth=P just joking! Try the Jabra BT3030 Bluetooth Stereo Headset! I have it and i LOVE it!
This topic was not opend to praise Apple for its products but to let you know that i've tried several products in order to replace the original HTC HD2 headset (wich is crap by the way) and Apple is the way to go.
I have tried to replace the earbuds on the original headset like shown in the tutotial in the wiki section, I have tried different headphones from Sony Ericsson, Phillips etc.
This morning I tried the Iphone 3G headset... the sound is unbelivable... and on top of that you have the mic and the play/pause/answer/hangup... and with headset button app you can do even forward/back/volume etc.
That's it! Just wanted to let you know
bull****, i have both htc and apple's headphones they both crap but the best headphone i have ever tried is the v moda2.......
the beauty is in the eye of the beholder...
ya may be ,but i thought we are talking about sound quality here.lol...anyway i like my v moda2 but i cant control music from that.do you know any best and cheap bluetooth connector so i can combine my headphones with it to work on hd2.
Sorry to break it to you but you haven't found the best wired headset.
If I ever need to buy a headset with remote control it will be the Etymotic HF2... I doubt you can get anything better sounding that has a remote control. http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/hf2.aspx
Brgds... /Tubgirl
they may be better but they are more than 6 times the price of an iphone 3G headset... and do you know if the remote works with the HD2?
yes these are good but check it out i am using these vibeii and the only problum i am facing(as i mentioned before)is the track backword/forward button is not compatilble with my hd2.however i can still use the mike and play/pause button and one more thing sound is incedible for that much value.that is why i am looking for some sort of bluetooth reciver extention so i can use controllers.
best is hd2's headset modded with in-ears
DN41
i modified it with earbuds from a pair of ipod shuffle headphones (that sounded great on the ipod) but the result is not that good on the HD2
anyway... from what i've seen Etymotic HF2 looks promising...
Best headphones are closed ones ( I prefer Sennheiser , I've got HD515 model)
In-ear : same , Sennheiser , (cx and mx series).
I don't really use a headset but just for listening to music daily, I use the Zune Premium headphones, you can get them pretty cheap on Amazon now and the sound is excellent.
They've no controls but sound quality of the Klipsch Image S4 are brilliant

I have has several set of shures, and now i am the using se210, on both my HD2 and my Zune hd 32gb, they are phenominal.Pricey but worth every cent
Well I think for music my westone UM3X or ATH-CK100 blow all of them out of the water - especially as I have custom sleeves for them......HOWEVER, they don't have a remote control, and are bloody expensive
So kudos to the op for finding a cheap earbud that sounds good enough for the HD2 (as tbh it is a pretty crappy music player if you use high end IEMs), with a FULLY working remote.
Sennheiser for theh win! I had bose inears 125 euros, they did sound like ****,now i have sennheisers cx300 version 2 for 35 euros and sounds much better. @home i use the sennheiser hd 515,also great ghehe. I put these 2 in a jabra bt 3030,best wireless remote ever

I need a good earphone within the price range of 1800 INR - 2500 INR.. All i've got is Sony MDR XB-30, XB-50, Sound Magic E10s (which i don't want coz previously i'd used Sound magic ES20 for more than a year and a half, now looking forward for a brand change). Sony XB-50 has inline remote control with mic,so i wonder whether it is compatible for Moto G3. All I want is a cheaper, decent IEM earphones, with a little bit extra bass effect. First choice be either Klipsch S4 or Sennheiser Momentum, unless you are an extreme audiophile, you don't need to spend much more than this on headphones for a cell phone, but an excellent budget choice is either the SoundMAGIC E10 series or Symphonized earbuds (all of their models are a great value with excellent sound reproduction).

You're getting some decent sound quality from these guys for just around $15, the drivers are huge and overall sound quality is great considering its price point. Plus these things, in my opinion, look awesome. Just keep in mind there's a bit of people who've had experiences of breaking the wings on these, which are necessary to wear them correctly, easily.

Imo the Sony sounds better. They are more expensive and they're headphones whereas the Sennheisers are earphones. I use the Sennheisers when I'm on the go and the Sony's when I'm at home listening to music or watching a show etc.

i use mee audio mduo, xiaomi piston basic and a jvc ha-fx1x , i can tell the most balanced are the mduo, great bass and trebs, the jvc ones are too basshead, the pistons delivers a greater sound/placement comfort ratio (those thins doesn't fall off even when running), but overall experience gets powered up with a good player, i use poweramp with hi-res output (no eq or tone enabled) + stock eq set on general enhancement + metal preset, i know theese are budget earbuds but they seemed to offer great quality over more expensive ones (shure se 215), hope this helped you
