Hi to all,
I installed ROM tonyp v04 and Kowalski #126 but now charging s to slow. It need about 4 hours to charge it. All unnecessary apps are killed. I use original Optimus 2x charger. What did you recommend?
Thank you
If you are on the old bootloader, try switching off the phone, plugging in charger, waiting for 15 seconds and then switch on the phone. I thought that this bug was gone long back due to fixes implemented by pengus77 in kowalski kernel. If you are on the new bootloader, this workaround won't work

Yes, it was expected that it got fixed in an earlier version itself. But as of now, there's anything else you can do, so continue using this workaround

This bug is still there on old bootloader but I think not with new boot loader. And the method suggested by you is the only way to charge it fast.

Crap, I knew I forgot something important
Temasek's KANG build 127 and ETaNa's latest kernel (1,4GHz OC).
Hello Community!
I've got a problem with my Galaxy Ace. I've installed the latest CM7 nightly (2012-10-14) and installed CronMod INT2EXT+ script.
In addition i've installed the newest Firekernel (2012-10-09) OC, official.
I've encountered a problem while using Bluetooth. With enabled Bluetooth the phone won't go into Deep Sleep mode. Is it a Kernel problem, or has it something to do with CM7?
Hoping to find a solution for my problem.
Cheers
Alex

Nope, no solution till now... I think i will try it with the stock kernel of CM7... Maybe it's because of the Firekernel...

I installed stocklite v7.1 and no deep sleep problem.
I'll try to find from were comes the problem in the following days.
I'll update you
Stock CM Kernel
I've just tried the stock CM7 Kernel, but also no Deep Sleep while Bluetooth is enabled.
The rom with wich i encoutered this problem is based on cm7.
Maybe we are not alone in this case but nobody else care about it.

You should try Stocklite 7.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703094
It has a very good battery life
I added int2ext+ to extend internal memory to sdcard
adrenaline engine to speed up the phone
firekernel
and ICS MOD http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1926596
now my rom is pretty close to CM7

Okay, seems to be a nice combination of mods...
But Firekernel with a Stock ROM? Is everything working properly then (WiFi, Bluetooth)?

Like a charm
I tried many roms, for me its the best in terms of battery life/reactivity (i don't play games).
I had strange behaviour after installing one of those mods (on don't remember wich one) but after a restart everithing is ok.
In this configuration mi battery is at 60% after a day of work (about 12 hours), my average use is half an hour of call, bluetooth always on and connected during one hour, wifi and 3g always on.
I use Juice defender but never compared with and without
Nice, but when i tried the ROM yesterday i was not able to see my SmartWatch...
Neither with the ROMs Kernel, nor with the Firekernel... I tried only the ROM without any modification but also the same result!
I was able to connect to my Notebook and to other Phones but i was not able to see my Smartwatch.
Very strange behavior and i don't know why... My Notebook and other Phones could connect to the Watch... Now i switched back to CM7 and it's working again...

Speakers randomly stopped working, no audible pop or click or anything, they just stopped working. Set up a repair ticket with HTC but they say that could take 2 weeks. Before I go phone-less for two weeks, is there any deep troubleshooting I could do?
I was running an AOSP ROM when it happened, and I've flashed a Sense ROM and that didn't help anything, but I'm wondering if it's some kind of kernel issue that can be fixed by flashing something.

I have not, also, I flashed the kernel to no avail. I guess it really is hardware.
I know I have a 50/50 chance of actually being serviced since the device is rooted, but should I do anything special to hide anything, or just flash stock ROM & send it off?

On my Xperia U I avoided updating my phone because everyone here said it would wipe everything off it. Is that the same with this update or is it just like updating an app?

Thanks for tip, but I will stick with stock ROM. 90% of guys who used CM run into issues with IMEI/SN and I don't need that. Btw, I find out that M$ Exchange was the culprit along with Launcher from Nexus 5.
Getting rid of them my phone is perfect now. battery is down to 58% after 20 hours of usage, so happy now...

build7 always brick my phone
hi
i'm trying to install build 7.
My phone has locked bootloader. Installed version is #build6.
I have used philz recovery to flash build 7. To flash #build7 takes 2 minutes long.
After flashing, i reboot the phone using reset recovery option of philz.
Phone gets stuck, black screen, without sony logo, and i have to reflash to .207 stock rom using flashtool.
What am i doing wrong?
thanks in advance.

Right. Got me confused there, as I was already pretty sure kernels are just for UBL. Why use the LBL version of CM11 on UBL then?

I guess it just happens sometimes. When I first flashed build #6 with twrp, everything went well, but something must have got corrupted along the way as the phone was stuck on Sony logo, and the screen just went gradually from orange tint to black from there on with continuous reboot loop. Fresh install helped though. And I've done everything the same.
Go back to stock, root, install recoveries, wipe cache, dalvik and system and install build #7. Should work just fine.
P. S. Another question from me, maybe not entirely related to only this ROM, but to flashing ROMs while using link2SD in general, as I'm sure some of you guys are using it. Is there any way to avoid some apps getting totally borked after each update? I know you need to recreate the mount scripts after flashing, but it just doesn't work for select apps each time, and I have to go through a tedious process of unlinking each one that is screwed, rebooting, and relinking. It's getting annoying with weekly updates (Thumbs up MRSteve <3).

Not sure if it's an issue with the nightly build you were working with this time, or something's actually wrong with build #7, but I don't seem to be able to install any CM Theme. Each and every one of them seems to install just fine, only to spit out "Failed to install <appname>" notification after a minute.
Anyone having this problem aswell?

This ROM or CM11 Official ?
Wich is better ? Keep my bootloader locked and use that ROM or unlock my bootloader and flash the latest CM11 Official Snapshot (M11) ? Few months, i flashed CM11 for locked bootloader and I had lot of anoying bugs/freezes. Can I expect better with that ROM ?
Thank's and sorry for my bad english.
This ROM is completely stable, and has no apparent bugs whatsoever. The only thing I noticed is worse than stock is the battery life.

Why on earth did you do that!? You'll need a computer with you. You will sadly however, have to start from the beginning. Get a stock ROM .ftf, flash it via Flashtool, then start over (root, install CWM, flash CM11 weekly build by MrSteve555)
The reason why your phone is bricked is because you have flashed a ROM for unlocked bootloaders (this being said is the M11 that you updated your phone). Your device does not have an unlocked bootloader. It does not start up due to the kernel installed on your phone is not stock (cyanogenmod's official kernel of course). On locked bootloaders, using a custom kernel is impossible and will cause bricks.

I haven't used Official CM11 on my SP, as my bootloader is locked, so it's not me to ask. For me, the phones eats through battery really fast, with screen on, it's like 10 minutes for 1%. Definetely not a days worth of use when gaming.
