So I just got my Sensation XL, I rooted, recovery and flash the PACman ROM.
Everything is working fine now but for the viberate. Can anyone show me a way to fix this problem because it is really annoying, and do I have to take the phone back to HTC to fix it ? I dont think it was because of the ROM though, cuz before I flash it, it didn't viberate either.

i have the same issue, the difference is that, if i shake my phone its work for a less time and stop working in few minutes.
So does anyone have a solution to this, because I am pretty desperate trying to fix it, it being a brand new phone and all.
Will changing the viberate parts at the bottom of the phone fix this problem ? or is it a software problem ?

Hi, I'm a noob on xda-developppers so yea, everybody hates me. But I would really appreciate any kind of help with this problem, which is:
I have had my htc incredible s for about a month now, and I love it. Only problem is, recently, it started crashing for no apparent reason and upon restarting, I send a troubleshoot message to htc. This has happened 8 times, and now the phone has crashed and refuses to start. The alarm woke me up at night and everything was fine with the phone, so I went back to sleep and 15 minutes later it refused to start. I've tried changing battery, charging, hooking it up to the computer... Nothing works, and it won't even acknowledge that it is being charged. I have no idea why it is doing this, especially since it's only a month old!
Can anyone help?
Restore to factory settings?
if that doesn't work, return it to HTC, might be hardware. i assume you're not yet flashing any custom ROMS right?
Try a factory reset as cardiii suggested ... If that dosent fix it ... Run a ruu ... If that dosent work either ... Then get a replacement ...
This might be cuz of some app u installed ... Anything installed before this happend?

Why don't you try to root and flash some roms to make a change with your phone ? I tried and that's so great.
Claim it and ask for new. Looks like HW issue.

Apply alpharevx and install custom roms !!!
or if u have a S-OFF Phone then Use ADB and get your phone rooted and install clockworldmod recovery !!!. Try getting your phone booted for once atleast and do not turn off , till you complete these Steps and install a custom ROM !!!
Looks like a bad application is causing it....

OK all, I am fairly new to WP7 but I have followed all steps to figure this out.
ON this HD7 phone with the latest European Update, the phone is unlocked too, The signal is lost without warning or reason. No signal at all! Even gone after a reboot. The only way to get it back is to keep rebooting till it comes back. Even taking the sim card out and in dont seem to help.
Wifi is fine and doesnt have an issue at all.
Now coming from an Android background sometimes this is due to a bad kernal and I would just flash a new one and see if that works.
Being new to WP7, I would try to flash a new rom since this phone is way past its warranty.
If I flash, what and where are the tools for this?
Edit! Hey guys and gals good news. Seems like the antenna was messed with before so I just pealled it out and reapplied it down making sure it was not crinkled!
And guess what? It works! Woo hoo!

Thanks bud but I fixed it! I think the device is too updated to
Get root or whatever u all call it.
I am not a big fan of the wp7 layout but I am impressed with the fact that the Htc hd7 has outdated hardware it performs very well.
I know the wp7 is very stable and smooth just not my taste. Anyways thanks again
I have had the One for about a month, and everything has been running smoothly, until a couple of days ago. The screen just suddenly wouldn't turn on, i could still hear sounds like messages and mails i was recieving. The first thing i thought of was reflashing the ROM, but the screen was still all black. I don't really know what to do, and i have searched the web for any solutions, but nothing seems to work. The sound still works aswell as all light and vibration. Does anybody have an idea of what i can do about it? Thanks
afaik that's a fairly common motherboard problem, i'd recommend backing up all of your media etc (I'm assuming you can see your files when you plug it into the pc) and call them [support . htc . com /contact], it shouldn't be too hard to convince them to send you a replacement
Just make sure to remove all traces of root!
though your screen is not working, but getting back to S-ON via Revone shoud work.... you will get to know if it is done sucessfully or not on the adb terminal itself.... so go on, do it, and send back for warranty.....

Hello Guys!
I've the same problems!! I've try to reset the phone but impossible cause of the lock schema.
Any other solutions?
I still hear the ringtone when I'm calling my number but nothing appear on the screen! The problem is I've unlock my bootloader ((
Hello!
I had purple tint on my old HTC One, so I sent it for repairs under warranty and I got a completely new unit. It was working for a day, but today it couldn't connect to the network. At first I thought it was a HW issue, but I realized that Dialer was crashing with a message: "com.htc.htcdialer is not responding.". That made me think it was a software problem, so I tried doing a factory reset in HBOOT, but now htcdialer is still crashing, and I can't even go through initial setup, it just keeps rebooting when I try to unlock it for the first time. Is there any other way to flash a ROM, without being able to boot the phone?
Everything is completely stock, bootloader is locked and phone is not rooted. I updated it to the latest available version, 4.4.2 with Sense 5.5, I'm unsure what version it exactly is. I would like to keep it stock for at least a couple of days in case there is a hardware failure and I have to send it back to service, but I can do anything if it's necessary.
Thank you very much.
HBOOT image, if it is of any help: http://i.imgur.com/3XKC6Br.jpg?1
Since its completely stock and you just got the phone, I wouldnt bother going through and installing a custom rom, its too much of a hassle and if it ends up being a hardware problem its an even bigger issue.
I'd contact HTC again and see if they can do anything about it, or just send it back again under warranty. Flashing a custom rom in your situation isnt worth it imo.

That's exactly what I've been thinking.
I was actually able to get it to go through initial setup between reboots and I was able to install a RUU, a the same thing is happening again, so I'm pretty sure it's HW related. And it still isn't getting any signal. It's a bit of a problem because I have to bring it to a store 150km away, but I'll have to do it :crying:

Ahh that sucks. Call them and make some excuse about how you cant come to the store and see if you can ship it to them.

2 choices...
New battery.. Change recovery...
External charger... Charge battery... Change recovery...
Or
Borrow a battery...

Might not be good
If a charged battery does not bring it back to life, your phone might be toast. What you are describing is exactly the behavior I saw when my emmc chip went out on my first Vivid. JTAG would not talk to it either. No repair was possible short of changing the main board.
Hopefully, yours is just a charging issue. Good luck.
On the bright side, it might not have been anything you did. Mine died just as suddenly for no cause at all.
Alright
So I found out that its basically not fixable buuuut thank goodness it was time for an upgrade thanks for the help! long live the vivid! btw to everyone it was not a battery problem I had a spare battery that I tried anyways thanks thanks:highfive:
