[Q]Any one used autopatcher to get tablet ui?[kinda works] - 7" Kindle Fire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i was looking around and found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1719408. Has some tweaks it adds to the rom like tablet ui, pdroid, and supercharger. Has any body used it with CM?
edit: tried it out. its works but all the spacing and sizing is off. maybe someone knows how to make it work.

Theme CyanogenMod 7 Keyboard

So i would like to know is it posible to theme the cyanogen mod keybaord to something else? Cause its rly awfull looking to me And i cant rly use an other because of the dictionary
Thanks in advance
EDIT: Or maybe increase its size?
I must agree with Rockeer, further noting that on my HTC Aria that the keyboard takes up so much screen that I cannot see what I am doing, and I cannot find any settings to change the UI without disabling predictive words (which I use heavily). I am hoping that there is an htc_ime keyboard that can be installed that works with CM7, but even changing the UI would be great!
Thanks in advance!

LCD Density question

So I'm running DJ-Steve's latest Honeycomb on my DS7 and I have an app for fiddling with the density. At the resolution I really prefer (don't recall which one). Whenever I download and install apps they appear JUST off the edge of the screen with no way to retreive or move them short of changing the density, moving them, changing back, etc..... PITA. is there some way I can make these stupid things not do that? OR does android have some sort of "auto arrange desktop" option or something like that?
Thanks

This is because this was based on Honeycomb for a 10inch - the grid is larger than our screen.
Untill someone rips a build from one of the 7 inch Honeycomb tablets, or the source is released, this will be a problem.
If you don't need 3.2, you can DL 3.1 RC3, and use the 160 image. DJ_Steve was somehow able to edit the launcher from one of the 10 inch builds to fit our screen perfectly in that build. It's by far my favorite Honeycomb build. I check all the Honeycomb updates to try them out, but always find myself back on Froyo or 3.1 RC3.
I sorta figured thank you. Just seems like if the system could keep the little google voice search widget and the apps tray framed properly it should be able to keep everything else in check.
Thanks

[Q] SGS2 icons + Extended menu + CM7 battery (JVU)

Hello,
I've searched this forums a bit, but its hard to find some basic themes.
I'm looking for a theme that replaces some icons to the SGS2 icons, an extended power menu and the CM7 battery icon. Maybe the clear glass unlock but since JVU this is standard?
I used this theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1261080 which was perfect for me, cause it was basic and just had everything i wanted. The only problem is i think this guy wont update it anymore, cause there have been some request since JVZ, JW1 and now JVU, but still no responds..
Then i started looking and found this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1405380 This looks ok, but i have some questions if it will not use extra RAM wich will slow my SGS down a little bit?
But if i will use this mod, i'm still looking for the SGS2 icons and the CM7 battery icon..
So in short: Can somebody help me to find one theme that has SGS2 icons + extended menu +CM7 battery (+ clear glass)
OR a different way to only flash SGS2 icons, flash CM7 battery, that i can combine with the 9lockmod mentioned above?
(all compatible for latest JVU)
Thank you!!

What UI are you using?

I tried the default UI, and wasn't happy with it. Didn't really hate it, but just not used to using a tablet in portrait mode. So I went ahead and change the DPI down to 160 and put it in tablet UI. Even with font on huge, it just doesn't seem right. I understand that is probably due to the fact, that tablet mode wasn't built for a 7 in screen, but I felt I had a better experience on my nook. What does everyone else think?
I tried the tablet UI but ended up going back to default. If you want it to go landscape, download Rotation Locker
I'd give it a try, but I don't feel like wiping my data just to root.
I think the tablet UI just fits the machine better than it's standard "phone" UI. My only complaint is the empty space created around the edges of the homescreen and application drawers when I run it as a tablet.
There is a way to enable tablet ui without messing with dpi tho it requires changes to systemui and framework. I'm running a tablet ui jellybean rom on my kindle fire, I wish i was smart enough to do those kinds of things but instead I have to wait till someone else does it then donate to them.

[REQ] Tablet UI/Navbar?

Is it possible to get a tablet style navbar on the xperia z?
i know there is a rom on android development that can do that, but it only works in landscape.
any idea if it is possible?
The PAC rom includes the paranoid which allows you to use tablet UI everywhere have it and it's fantastic

i wanted the same thing too so i tried installing Xposed framework + TabletUI module
i soft rebooted the phone and i can see that TabletUI is applied, just that everything is oversized (till this stage, all is fine)
but when i tried to change the dpi using Density changer available on play store to 240dpi and reboot, i had bootloops....
so tablet ui actually works on stock rom...but somebody has to figure out a way to change dpi without causing bootloop
i had to restore my phone after applying 240 dpi...so DON'T CHANGE dpi!!!!!
Dude, tons of us have changed DPI... I myself have it at 320. 240 sounds incredibly low, though.
just wanna clarify, i dont wanna do this through DPI changing lol, i wanna keep everything in the same size/proportion, just a different layout, if you know what i mean....
