Hi guys, I was just wondering if someone is going to port cm10.2 on our beloved galaxy mini.
Don't hope too much, don't happy too much.
Porting Android 4.3 to Mini is a challenge. So it'll take A LOONG time to complete or reach first beta.

Around 10 GB for Gingerbread, and more is required for JB and higher

Pfft... :laugh: The performance won't be as good as Jellybean 4.1 or 4.2, still syncing.... -.- 50 KB/s
Performance will be like CM10.1 after flash, as I doubt that Mini supports OpenGL 3.

Yes, i think it'll be, and true Mini won't fully supports OpenGL 3. BTW, syncing halted since my net speed are getting worser and worser.

Dude, why don't try to port something easier like cm6, 'cause there's no cm6 for tass and then we'll try to compile cm10.2?

CM6, just for warming up and then maybe cm10.1 or cm10.2

CM7.2 WILL be our warm up. Then CM9, then CM10.1, or CM10.2

I've already decided not to try anymore ics custom roms ( yeah i know that's not gonna effect you devs )
I really dont think that new ics based roms would get success..
devs may think out of the box. should try to do something unique

There was a series or a single rom idk by Xperience.cyanogen...some features were new in that...we need more of that..

Yeah so thats where the inventiveness of the devs comes in..imagine a new android version.. no one's version would be considered wrong..
How about roms having a whole new layout, i mean people have started to get bored with the ics layouts and themes, everybody loves a change.

Honeycomb isn't likely because:
1. The sources in AOSP are untagged + unbranched
2. The sources are not complete
Windows 8 is far more unlikely because:
1. The sources were never released

Windows 8 looks almost exactly like WP7 and Honeycomb sounds good but I doubt anyone would be interested into making it as popular and good as ICS.

Guys it is NIGHTLY ROMs, if you need stuff working you DONT NEED TO BE RUNNING THESE. Stuff may break, there are NO change logs, and its for testing. Bleeding edge.

i do have liked this site,,,,,,,,,ROMs their are laggy too
in a word,all CM10.1 roms for AHD is laggy for now

I didnt have a huge lag problem in Cm10 but i have since flashed AOKP 4.2.2 ROM which is great.

Actually I have been porting a HTC sense 4.2 Rom From Galaxy Gio To Galaxy Mini
I was struck at status 6 error which is sucess fully solved and ROM sucessfully Installs in CWM but when I Boot Nothing Happens after Samsung Logo the custom Boot animation even doesn't show up
I have using CM7 as base as the Gio Rom is also on 2.3.6
any sugesstion what should I do

Ohh... my ! You won't port that ROM easily. It would takes a hundred hours to make it working & booting. CM7 isn't a right base.
Bugs:
- RIL FIXED
- no data
- wifi
- bluetooth
- camera/camrecorder
- sd card not detected FIXED
- htc bootanimation stays too long(only at booting, not with phone unlock)
- sound FIXED
- sensors
-backlights
- more I haven't found or not able to test (yet)

Dude i actually sucessfull solved the status 6 error already before posting here My problem is Rom get Install but does not gets bootup just shows samsung logo didnt even shows my custom Bootanimation

Kernel he said, not ROM base. It isn't that easy porting a Sense ROM. Even, if you make it booted, you'll have a tons of bugs.
Sense isn't really that easy to port, you'll need to understand kernel, and system better before porting Sense.

Yep, it's not impossible. Finished porting one, got it booting without touchscreen, sound, and vibration. IDK for the rest since i can't move any elements on screen.

I've tried porting his kernel many times, always same result - random reboots, freezes, phone stucks... Unfortunately I am not able to find out what's the cause of these problems, I thought I made everything well :/
I even tried yesterday, many, many different settings.. And I was disappointed again
