can anyone help me plzzzzzzz:crying:
i have downloaded the untouched__rom_v2.0eu_dcplx1.zip for HTC desire c...is it working in my desire c (india). if yes please tell me how to install it...
Thanks in Advance plzzzz help me...:crying:
There are a few things you need to consider about the untouched ROM here on xda.
1. It is based on the European RUU
2. It is GSM only, CDMA will not work
3. It probably is not much different then the stock ROM that you have (assuming your on stock)
Sooooo for your issues I don't recommend it.
However cyanogenmod may be the answer. And for that you will need an unlocked bootloader and a custom recovery + sdcard
For instructions on how to do this, do a SEARCH ON XDA for "GUIDE FOR NOOB"
If I helped press thanks

Hi gaurav,
If you still have warranty on your phone, the first thing I would suggest is go to the service center or wherever you got your phone from. It might be a hardware or manufacturing defect that your warranty should cover.
Do that before you decide to root your phone!
If you dont have warranty then there is no reason not to root your phone. Go for it! Then you can install custom roms as well. But read a lot before you do so.
All the best. Tell me what happens

It seems after several days searching the net that I am the only person on earth with this phone, who wants to root anyway. Does anyone have custom recovery for this phone so I can root? Or ever the stock recovery because I flashed the gsm cwm by mistake and now can't get into recovery. Thanks

After reviewing all the helpful advice I've received over here at Xda (I'm being a smart ass) and lots of Google searches I've learned what I need is to flash an ruu for my phone. I've seen threads here where someone decided to be helpful and posted ruu downloads for the desire c gsm, but I'm cdma. Where can I get my ruu? I was told htcdev.com but all the is for my device are kernel source, is this what I need to get the ruu? I know everyone here is much better then me, and no doubt way cooler, but please don't let that stop you from just typing a few lines and helping me out. I promise, I will bow down and exalt the new gods of XDA DEV. Thanks.

What are you trying to do? Root the phone or return it to stock?

I was trying to root and flash cm my last two phones couldn't get cm so I've been looking forward to seeing what all the hype is about. That's why I bought this phone, because I read that there was cm for it. but now that I know there is no recovery avaliable I guess I'm going stock until one becomes avaliable or I can make one. I guess if I have a working ruu to restore my phone with if something goes wrong I could still root at least
I've downloaded all the dev tools and am tracking down reading / resources to aid in the learning process. Any suggestions? I'm experienced in HTML but that's it. Thank you for responding I'm glad to be here at XDA and I will have useful things to continue on the future if I'm allowed to learn and others are willing to point me in the right direction at least.

There are 4 custom recoveries. And a stock one in the untouched ROM ( I don't currently have the link to it)
Here are the three i found:
Touch recovery
CWMR
TWRP
If your problem is something else, please clarify as i am really slow xD
As to learning process, as ive said before, start off with just testing stuff. Then move on to what you want to do first, in my case it was a kernel that is neatly organized. For all i know you might want to develop apps or themes, thats your choice :3. Have fun and ask me further questions over skype or facebook in my details.

I want to root but I'm not wanting to risk it till there's a recovery. Anyway unless I get a one click to work on this phone, I don't think any do, if have to get into recovery anyway.

Hey. same problem here :/
do somebody have a stock kernel or cwm-backup out there?

Maybe its because of the wrong kernel.
Try this :
http://www.multiupload.nl/JL449IUK0M
But first try "fastboot boot boot.img"
When your Phone boots you can flash the img.

This isnt the Desire 200 forum. The red warning is normal. Ignore it.
Same problem here. I wanted to install cwm on htc desire 200 and now I am unable to boot it. I see red "This build is for development porposes only.Do not distribute outside of htc without htc wfitten permission" error. I could not find RUU, stock recovery file for this phone. There is only kernel sources in HTC Dev website but I have no idea what to do with it. Does somebody have an idea ?

The red warning is not an error. If you used the Desire C methods its your fault you bricked it, since they are not the same. The kernel source is used to build the kernel.

Thanks for the reply. Yes it is my fault. I could not fix that error and sent phone to HTC for repair. But I am sure that there is other people live same issue because no source available for htc desire 200. If somebody has any source like recovery image, stock ROM etc. it maybe good to share.
HTC service wanted 100 USD for software repair. I paid 150 USD to device I refused their offer and requested device back. I need custom rom for HTC desire 200. Is there anybody else who can share stock rom for HTC Desire 200 ?

No. Do not install anything that is not made for your phone. It is very risky.
What kind of phone is this? HTC support unable to help, nobody has an idea. Very dissapointed!
Hi all,
First of all hats off to all the contributors of this site. Really, without you guys, many people will be wasting money and wandering around for solutions. This site has amazing content.
So, to start with. I have a Sprint HTC One which says SIMLOCK enabled when i switch it on. and when I insert a SIM, it says some UICC code not set something..like that...
I am in India now, and I want to use this phone with the local carriers here.
Here are the details of the phone:
Model No: HTCPN072
UICC ID : Not available
IMSI(UICC) : Not available
After doing initial research on this forum, I understood that, I need to unlock bootloader first, and then root and flash ROM.
when i go to bootloader (press volume down + power button) the first line shows 'unlocked' on the screen. Does it mean , bootloader is unlcoked?? Please confirm.
All I want is to use this phone in India. I found various methods to unlock, root and flash custom ROMs, but I wanted to go with XDA - but unfortunately, when l opened forums for Sprint HTC One, I see lot of posts and threads, and the result is I am lost. I dont know where to start.
I know you would have answered many questions like this, I dont want to waste your time though so point me in right direction by providing links
I would be grateful , if you direct me to the right threads for this. Also please give me links where we have all-at-one-place.
Thanks again.

Ok read here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2244060 You have already an unlocked bootloader, so skip this part and go directly to flash recovery (I suggest TWRP)
The recovery will ask if you want to root
Finally install the "Sprint HTC One SIMunlock helper" from play store and follow the instructions

Hey guys,
So I recently got the HTC One Remix (the Verizon version of the HTC One Mini 2) and I would like to root it and install a custom ROM for it (preferably Cyanogenmod). The problem is verizon makes it hard to do any of these things and sadly switching carriers isn't really an option any time soon so I am trying to make do.
HTC-Dev reportedly won't work with verizon phones and many of the solutions for the HTC One Mini 2 don't work for the Remix even though they are essentially the same phone. Cyanogenmod has the HTC One Mini 2 listed as a supported device but I am not sure if that will work with the Remix because a carrier is not specified.
I have yet to see anyone who has had any luck, so is there anyone out there at all who is running a custom ROM on a rooted HTC One Remix? If so, what did you use to obtain root (sunshine maybe?) and what custom ROM are you running?
I'm majorly new to this sort of thing so hopefully the solutions are relatively easy so I don't end up bricking my phone.
Any help at all would be much appreciated!

As far as I can see there aren't many hardware differencec between the two phones. The only problem is that at this point there is no other way of unlocking these phones then trough HTC dev. I don't think there is a lot of development going on with unlocking with other methods. How do you know HTC dev isn't supporting your device? Did you check if "All other supported models" in the list?

It a verizon exclusive and HTC Dev doesn't work on verizon phones. The carrier blocked it. There's also a disclaimer somewhere deep on the htc site.
Thanks though. I'm just frustrated because I like the phone but I also really want to root it. I've tried a couple of the easier methods like sunshine and towelroot and those don't work I'm only on 4.4.2 but with my low skill level in this area I'm not sure if there's much I can do. I know s-off and root aren't the same thing but that's supposed to make it easier to find a way to achieve root right?
Aha then i'm afraid there isn't much you can do. Only wait for s-off because but I don't think it is goanna happen. My previous device is a One X and they had a huge user/developer base but never achieved s-off. It seems HTC really did a good job at closing this down.

HTC One mini 2/remix stock recovery
Hi. I might be able help you here.
Here is a link to what I'm pretty sure is the stock recovery. Note this dumb forum won't let me post links, so reassemble this yourself..
h t t p s
w w w . androidfilehost . c o m
/?fid=95784891001615233
Can't remember the exact cmd line.. something like adb flash recovery <file>
Now for the rom, I'll have to see if the link I got it from is still valid when I get home. There's a guy 'jcase' I think on the IRC that uploaded his personal backup that worked for me.
To be clear, the rom is for the HTC One 'remix' - Verizon's branded HTC one mini 2. There is NO working cyanogenmod that I know of.
btw you will need the TWRP recovery to restore from the rom backup when you get it, so the stock recovery might only be useful if the flash still has the recovery image on it.
Certainly worth trying first.
Good luck,
-M
