I have a HTC One with the Google Edition ROM installed. I have changed my CID to GOOGL001 also. I'm currently running Android 4.2.2 and today i got a notification saying that the system update has been downloaded and click here to install, the phone rebooted and it took me to the recovery screen and nothing happened... Booted the phone back up and i still had Android 4.2.2 installed and now when i check for a system update it says my system is up to date :S Why has this happened and how do i get the 4.3 update to work?
Thanks in advance
unless you've gone through the conversion process and have fully converted to Google edition, OTA updates will not work.

There's a procedure to completely convert your phone to the Google Edition complete with OTA. It requires S-off and a decent amount of Android experience.
But yes, you're going to have to flash a 4.3 ROM

Hello,
Yesterday I received an official update for my international HTC One from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2. After installing this update the game I play the most 'Mobage War of Heroes' Doesnt work correctly anymore. I can play the game but when animations are being used (missions, battles, fusing of cards etc) i get a totally black screen untill the animation is over. I cant find how to fix this issue.
I would like to go back to the last version 4.1.2. Is this possible? If so, how can I do this?
Thanks in advance!

I'm assuming you are S-On, if so then you need to root your device (Via htcdev or S-Off method) then you can flash stock 4.1.2 rom. You can use the link below for your guide.

I believe 4.22 changes the hboot to 1.54 so S-off is not an option. I warn everyone
if you want S-off on your device do it now before the 4.22 update.
If you have S-off before the update it stays (even on the new hboot 1.54)

Gotta wait to see if revone/moonshine is updated to support hboot 1.54.
I do have hboot 1.54 and have s-on. I guess there is nothing I can do to go back to 4.1.2 yet.
Is there any option or setting that could cause the animations to not load? Everything in the game is working only the animations arent loading, just plain black screen.

No idea, is your rom stock or custom and are you running any custom kernels?

At first I was running completely stock. Didn't unlock bootloader, didnt install custom rom or kernel nothing. Then I updated with the official update and I got the problem. Then I unlocked bootloader and installed a custom rom trying to fix it, but the problem didnt go away. Now I flashed odexed stock rom again (2.24.401.1) and have it rooted. But the problem seems to stay no matter what rom I install. I did flash a 4.1.2 rom as well but the touchscreen didnt work after flashing it so I went back to the stock 4.2.2.
I never had this problem with 4.1.2.

Report the issue to the developers of the game and see if they release a fix.

My friend has the sgs4 running 4.2.2 too and everything works with him.
Hello, I am going to convert to google edition 4.3 I have decided. I am currently 4.3 with sense 5.5, but i want to be ready for the OTA 4.4 KitKat in a week or 2 from now.
My question is for complete conversion, do i need to change to the google CID or the super CID or will either work? If either, is there any benefit to one over the other?
I am hboot 1.54 and s-off.
Thanks
PS. Anyway have a link to the latest GSE 4.3 Rom/recovery that i need?
Getting late here in UK when I thought to ask about the CID and was planning to look for Rom tomorrow, but seeing as I am here, i might as
well ask...
Thanks again...

If you want to download the update yourself via the phone's built in OTA tool, you'll need to use the GooglePE CID. If you keep SuperCID, you'll be able to apply the OTA using fastboot by booting into the RUUTool. You'll just have to wait for someone else to grab and host the OTA Zip.
Just finished converting my HTC One to a Google Play Edition. I now have a nice clean install, no bloatware, OTA updates, so I should receive my 4.4 update when it rolls out in i believe about 2 weeks, maybe less.
I have a nice warm feeling inside now that my HTC One is soon to be just as good as the Nexus 5 when I get 4.4, until then, I can handle it being a little under par...
Very happy with my choice.
..
I just got a message on my ARHD 5.1 ROM saying that a System Update has been downloaded and ready to install. I looked at the system update and it's for the 4.4.2 update. I'm pretty sure I shouldn't install it considering I'm not using a fully converted GPe and I'm unlocked, rooted, S-OFF, with a modified HBOOT. So, how can I get rid of the notification? It won't let me swipe it away and I really don't want to have such a potential issue just an accidental click away.

If you have converted your mobile to GPE...you can install the update
but if you just flashed your rom (leaving CID n MID everything different from GPE) just dont update..
even if you try to update nothing will happen i guess..because installation of ota update requires Stock recovery of google play edition
Install stock recovery for GPE edition that you are running, before you install the OTA..
You should be fine as long as it's a stock recovery. The GPe OTAs actually are already configured to install on any US GSM CID/MID. Google or HTC definitely know about the unofficial RUU and helped make the update process slightly easier for those who utilized it.

My HTC one m7 is originally att but is unlocked to T-Mobile and has Android 4.1, but I want to install the update firmware 4.4 and it downloads from Ota off of att software update app, but when I proceed and it restarts the phone the update stops around the beginning and gives me a red triangle and fails. Anyone know why this is?? Also battery is charged passed 50%, s-on, no root. Any help please?

By 100% stock you mean 100% AT&T service and everything?
Well then how would I go about it or would I have to manually get kitkat? Really it should be easier than that... Will T-Mobile latest firmware work without root or s-off ? Or maybe Google play edition firmware Rom.

looks like you did not read the link I have posted above.
The ota installation abort when it detect unexpected content of either /system files or /data/preload files. every files to be patched are checked by the updater script of the ota. it must be 100% stock, otherwise your recovery will stop the installation and show you this red triangle with an exclamation mark inside. you must either restore the deleted/modified files or restore your phone to stock (i.e using a ruu).
post the output of fastbot getvar all except the imei and serialno
